We went early on a Monday and got right in, although it started filling up while we were there. Service was excellent and food was relatively fast and server was attentive. Definitely get the chips and salsa although you do pay for it. Large bowl and delicious. We also got the guacamole which was very good and had pepitas on it which was different. All food made from scratch per the waiter. The entrees were excellent - the Carnitas and Chicken La Reina. Both were tender and super tasty. Atmosphere was upscale from normal Mexican restaurants Great for date night or a group of friends and family.

We were seated on the top floor, which had a great view off the balcony. Tacos and the steak bowl were delicious, but the highlight was the fresh salsa!! don't skip on the chips and salsa! Service was slow, but we had a big party ...This is definitely a place you can come with a group or a or romantic date. I wouldn't say it caters to families though they do have a kids menu!

Came here today for a pre-New Years Eve with my partner. It was BUSY busy. A long wait outside, put our name in and they said 40 minutes (to be expected on a holiday with no reservations). But I will say the Hostess was extremely rude and short. I'm sure she had a long day of reservations and wild people to deal with but as someone in the industry, it isn't okay. This and ONLY this is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.We went to the upstairs bar to wait for our table to be available. Our bartenders were Stephen (Steven) and Allison. They were the highlight in all the chaos of the holiday. They were happy as could be, quick to order with, attentive, fast and had a smile on their faces the entire time. We decided to turn in our pager and stay at the bar. We ordered house margaritas and some short rib taquitos to start. The taquitos were so flavorful and tender. We were then going to order chips & guac but realized the nachos reina style (that came with guac and 2x meat) was only $3 more so pro tip just get the nachos!! *Plus they put all the toppings underneath the nachos so they don't get soggy and you can dip however much or little you want! I was full at this point but my partner was still hungry so he ordered the short rib enchiladas with their chile ranchera sauce and crema. He said the sauce had more of a kick to it than he's used to and he really enjoyed it!

Loved loved loved casa reina! It was so good. Highly recommend it. We got a table right away despite being busy. The issue is we ordered an appetizer and took forever for it to come. Our entree came first. Not sure if it's a regular occurrence but definitely worth the wait though. I order a fajita bowl and I ate the WHOLE thing!! We had the flan it was ok, kind of regret not getting the churros. Definitely wanna come back!

We had dinner this evening at Casa Reina. The weather is a bit brisk, so we opted for an inside table, but some hardy folks did eat outside (they have propane heaters). We ordered chips & salsa ($4.99). I had the chicken tomatillo fajita bowl and my husband had a chicken quesadilla. The portions were generous. We had an inside table upstairs where we did have a partial view of the Bridge of Lions.

Casa Reina was yummy and in a great location! We sat up on the roof on a beautiful day and it was everything it needed to be. The service was just okay- but the ambiance and food hit the mark for me.

We had lunch at this Mexican restaurant in the historic area of St. Augustine. The atmosphere and decor is very nice. I ordered the House Salsa $4.99 and it was delicious. I also had the Enchilada Shrimp with corn $17.99. The corn was delicious but the enchilada wrap was too thick. Our server was very nice.

This is a great choice for dining when walking around the downtown St. Augustine area near the waterway. Our party of 6 waited, only maybe 10 minutes to be seated. We had the nicest server, which took our orders with ease.I started with an order of the chips and salsa since it does not automatically get served to the table. It is worth the order. The salsa has great flavor, and the chips were fresh. For my entrée I went with the Honey Lime Shrimp Fajita Bowl for a fair price of $17.99. There was not a long wait for food. I was happily surprised at the generous amount of food for the price. The shrimp were a showstopper. I really enjoyed them. The flavors of the other ingredients really complimented each other well. The guacamole you can tell was freshly made. The interior of the restaurant was very pretty and had a classy feel. I like that the hosts did not sit groups on top of one another, and we were spaced out nicely in the restaurant.

It's been about 6 months since I've been here, so my review may be a bit vague. We wanted to have dinner before we took the long drive back down to my parents home and scored a table right away. The vibe of the restaurant is fun and colorful. We were on the second floor and had some nice views of the water. The food was delicious and our waitress was helpful in making some of the decisions as to what to eat. My seafood enchiladas were soooo good. If you're in St, Augustine and are considering Mexican cuisine this is the place.

Enjoyable lunch experience during peak season in St. Augustine. We loved the ambiance of the restaurant. It truly makes you feel like you are on vacation. We ordered the guacamole, the taquitos, and the avocado enchiladas. All of them tasted amazing. We were not an ounce disappointed in the flavors. Our waiter was super nice and gave us plenty of compliments. I also had my first Jarrito. I highly recommend trying this restaurant out while in St. Augustine!
