Fish wasnt stewed at all, it was deep fried and red sauce was poured on top, there was barely any rice and plantains were cut up and thrown in the plate as if someone had been eating itPlate looked incomplete and poorly prepared

As soon as I walked in, it smelled amazing! The lady, that took my order, was my order, was great. I spent about $21.00 But it would be 3 meals for me. I got the beef patty, the crust was flaky and the beef inside, was like a minced beef. It was good. The rice and pea's was good, and the Oxtails, was falling off the bone! I've never cooked Oxtails, other people have for me. But this will be my go-to place for Oxtails. They were so tender, oh, I also got cornbread and corn, the corn was just corn, the Cornbread was sweet and moist. For me it was amazing, I will be back.

After doing some errands around the area, my friend and I were hungry. We looked online for options, and seemed like Caribbean Paradise was the closest spot in town. Going in, the restaurant wasn't super packed, and we decided to split the Jumbo Jerk chicken with cabbage and a upcharge of the mac n cheese ($3 extra) for total of $21.50 before tip. Moving onto my review, the food was okay. On the plus side; the chicken had great sweet to hot to salty islandy flavor, and was very tender! In addition, the meal itself was very filling, and certainly a good value for your buck. However, on the minus side, the rice & peas weren't fresh, and tasted bland. The cabbage as well didn't taste fresh too. Moreover, the mac n cheese was very dissapointing as it was a dry stack of noodles, in contrast to the cheesy crust on top. Overall, the food was alright, but could definitely use some tweaks. Final verdict 3/5.

The sign on the door indicated that the meal was $10.50, after placing the order was told $21 + tax. After pointing this out, we were told, "Oh we need to change the sign."I was disappointed that no efforts were made by the establishment to correct this or offer alternative. No, I did not ask, however it could have been a customer service opportunity to possibly win repeat business or afford at least 1 more star.The corn looked old, the rice was mushy, the sautéed vegetables were extremely vinegary and the fish did not taste fresh. I actually felt nauseous. Here's before photos, check it out. I would never go back.

The oxtail were very bland and jerk chicken way too salty. I wouldn't recommend. The fried plantains were disgusting

I feel like I got PUNKED! $46 totally wasted. We tried everything from the oxtails, snapper to the cabbage and cornbread and this just might be the worse Jamaican food I've ever had in my life. How do you mess up a beef patty? My recommendation is to keep your money.

Not very attractive area of Jacksonville, but the restaurant, more of take out was very clean. Went there for lunch had the jerk chicken and beef patties. Very authentic and very good will be going there again. Prices very reasonable as well

Service was good The oxtails where fire the rice was so good and the cabbage was good overall i would recommend coming here great food.

The worse patty ever! Always dry! This shouldn't have been sold! Oxtails are always good, rice is hit or miss. Overall food is pretty good.Beef Patty

this place over hyped i had 10x better Caribbean food in duval over the decade I been living here an don't try the jerk chicken I promise u it's not worth it
