1/2 Blackened Shrimp Poboy - easily the best one I've ever had. We live in Galveston, so I've had more than a few.

Overall, Captain Seagles is a good experience. It is located in the cool downtown St. Marys, Georgia area and is basically on the water. The service was friendly and professional and the food was enjoyable.

Pretty basic. Food was average at best. Service was OK. Place was empty on a rainy Monday night. Didn't seem to have any sort of ambience to speak of.

Our go to spot was closed on Monday and Tuesday so we thought we would give it a try. The fried green tomatoes were solid. We ordered fish and chips basket and the fried shrimp dinner. The fries were good and the shrimp were ok. Our waitress didn't know what beers were on draft because "she hadn't been over there today" and then stood there looking at us. Finally she tried to remember what they were.... We were wondering how far the bar was.... When we walked out we realized it was one right turn and past the front door, if I was waiting on a table that asked, I might have walked a minute and a half to get the answer. Anyway, that is pretty much the level of service we received.

Perfect little watering hole to stop into as you're walking about downtown. Wonderful staff, never tried the food but you can't beat their alcohol prices. $2.50 Busch Lattes/$7 house wine...friendly pours, friendly place, laid back atmosphere

Server cannot answer have her questions. It would take her forever to get things that we asked for. Never refilled our drinks one time! The lobster roll had imitation lobster not real lobster! The scallops were good with the bacon but the sauce that was on it was nothing but total grease! The coleslaw was very good! Service was terrible! Food was so so.

We got off the ferry & were starving, so we took a chance & came here. I think most people end up here because they are under the exact same circumstances. Waitress welcomed us, and then began to recite a litany of things they were out of. Not a great start. They were somewhat busy, but I suspect that some employees called out, as it was Xmas weekend. Service was slow, but the food was decent. You would think a seafood restaurant in the water would have access to really good seafood. The crab cake was good, but no tartar sauce. I would return if it was the only option, or I was starving. It is located on the St. Mary's waterfront, and the dining room was fairly neat, the ambiance was uninspired, however. I love eating out, but I hate paying $ for mediocre food.

This is a nice seafood restaurant but has some disappointing aspects. You expect a seafood restaurant right on the wharf to have nice selection of local fish but it doesn't. It advertises it has something for everyone, but for seafood entrees has salmon from somewhere and crab cakes. Yes you can get steaks, pasta, burgers, etc but I want good seafood at a place calling itself a seafood restaurant. One of the pastas had scallops, but those were the very small pencil eraser size scallops which I expect to get in Colorado, not on the wharf. We tried the scallops and salmon. The scallops were overcooked. The salmon was some of the best I have had with a cooked outside and almost rare inside, which is exactly what I asked for. They do adjusting cooking to order. I also tried the seafood chowder which was very good with bits of fish and the small scallops. The atmosphere had a bar feel with a mix of high top tables and regular tables. They do not try for the seafaring theme. The place is small and divided into two small rooms so it has an intimate feel and the waitstaff is able to regularly check on the guests. There are a number of other restaurants right at the wharf so when you get off the ferry you have a good selection, so don't feel this place is your only option.

This place is great. The food is above average and the service is great, although when it gets busy somewhat slow. The drink prices are good and they have lots of activities in the Saloon that is attached to the backside of the hotel(that is above the restaurant and saloon. Small western town atmosphere, very pleasant to have a meal or go to chill with the live music in the outside bar. they use patio heaters when it gets cold at the ouside bar. The staff changes somewhat often but there are some that have been there along time. The saloon is usually open to at least midnight and if busy on weekends open til 2 am. The only thing that I don't recommend it the deserts they are not locally made. they are ok but not smashingly good.
