"I'm going to start by saying I was born and raised in Los Angeles and then lived in San Diego for most of my time.I have a high bar for Mexican food, and this place nailed it. I could tell from the moment I walked in and saw the decor, stage, and menu. The food came out incredibly fast and was fresh/amazing. I had the Carne Asada plate and a margarita, both were home runs. It's a big open place, so everything is ordered at the counter. That's probably the only thing I was not thrilled with, but it still worked fairly well.Would highly recommend."
"Had a great dinner with family at Salt Life last night. We were a large group and service was great for fresh, excellently prepared meals. My sushi was fantastic and I'm in love with their wasabi. It was a small dollop but packed a punch and had sprinkled white and black sesame seeds coating it. Everyone loved their meal and I was so happy to actually carry on conversations with most of the table. Everyone had fish, shrimp or chicken tenders without any complaints. I couldn't see exactly what others ordered, but you can't go wrong."

"Great tasting food. Creative taco types. If you like to experiment with your tacos, this is the place. I ordered the fish with 4 different types of tacos. 3 were great, one was ok. But still ++"
"Cute atmosphere and a good place for a quick vegan veggie bowl. Nothing super fancy if you're plant based but it's a nice option that's by the beach."
"I have never had less than amazing food from Osprey Their ingredients are always fresh, their service is quick and super chill, and their creative specialty items are always a surprise favorite! This time, they won my St Aug native heart with their special, the gator tail! Had them throw some of their datil sauce on there to make it sing, but man did it ever! Incredible"
"Food is always amazing. Not too expensive, salsa is amazing. I literally beg my boyfriend to take me here all the time. Cute little restaurant with an outdoor patio if you prefer."
"I visited Taqueria Cinco with two fellow yelpers Bobby and John after our 20-mile bike ride. The ambiance was enjoyable, featuring music and both indoor and outdoor seating. However, the food did not meet expectations. Specifically, the Al Pastor Taco was overfilled and fell apart during consumption, and the carnitas taco was excessively greasy with minimal pork. The flavors were also overpowered by cilantro, and the sides of rice and beans were bland. Additionally, there were no fountain drinks or complimentary water. Overall, I give this establishment three stars due to the subpar food and lack of complimentary beverages. Sodas and beers were priced very reasonably, but without refills it limited us to just one beverage. I would have given this 2 stars but because of the great service I made it 3. Hopefully I have a better experience if there is a next time."
"I have really been enjoying this spot! My preferred seating is outside (always) specifically the road side. The ambience is nice! An array of tequila choices served neat, on the rocks or as cocktails (tequila is not all they offer of course). Our absolute favorite menu choice is the Steak taco. It's truly something special. Ladies and gentleman, we come far and wide for this taco. It stands on its own so please do not ever think of removing this item or sadly we will no longer be able to dine at IOP or FI. Just kidding, not really. The queso with beef rings or chorizo served fonduta style is another recommended item (if you're asking). Can't go wrong!"
"I throughly enjoyed my experience here. I assumed it was a run of the mill "Tex-mex blah". No. BETTER.I had the barbacoa quesidilla, fully loaded with a large mango juice. The beef was so rich the sides of sour cream and verde thoroughly complimented. Our table of two, we normally talk and discuss the food or the travel thus far--faces were stuffed to content"
"We are constantly on the quest for good Indian food and this place delivers. It follows the Chipotle method of building your bowl or taco or wrap. Staff was very willing to give tastes of items and/or explain them. Portions were very large so plenty of leftovers. My husband thought the goat was very good. I liked my chicken and the pineapple guacamole was a nice flavor. Naan was very good. I wasn't expecting garlic butter to be poured on top. My experience with garlic naan is the garlic is flavored in the bread. Nevertheless, the naan had a great taste and texture. There were regular tablespoons of and hi top tables. Lots of parking in lot outside. We will definitely be back."

I like this restaurant and have visited several times in the past. I have to say the service and food quality has slightly declined over time. My kids used to love coming here because of their fish tank, this time it was dirty and very sad looking. The overall restaurant needs some refreshing. Our server was good, she forgot a couple of things, but will let it slide because it was towards the end of the day and they were about to close. The burger was delicious and the oyster sauce was delicious as well, the oysters themselves were a bit dirty, very sandy and grainy, but the taste was there. I have great memories from prior visits and definitely will give them another shot in the future, I am hoping this review will help them look at some of the things that need improvement.

It's been a while since we last visited this place. I heard from Jay and Marllie P. that they serve Barbacoa and that they were delicious! So me and my husband planned our visit on a Friday night.Place is the same, nice interior and plenty of tables. We were seated right away and was immediately served a complimentary chips and salsa. Light and crispy chips and the salsa has a mild spice, always a great starter. Our orders came out hot and fast. The Barbacoa portion is huge! It comes with rice, beans, pickled onion and a consommé. Yes it tasted like birria, but the flavor is more subtle but tasty and the beef was in chunks, not shredded. My husband got the Pollo Ranchero with mushrooms and onions, it was good as well. 5 stars overall! I think I found a new favorite Mexican dish!

Jimmy Hula's is incredibly dependable in Ormand Beach on Granada that serves as a friendly come-as-you-are tacos and bowls joint for locals and those visiting that know about it from the locals. The tacos are magical as I devoured each of my three with voracious glee. The servers are very friendly and patient, and we had our food within a few minutes of ordering. Sitting in the outdoor seating area, I enjoyed the Luau tacos that were made with teriyaki chicken, pineapple mango pico, and creamy teriyaki sauce. The fire-roasted avocados were also very creamy with spice from the hot sauce basted on top.The vibes are very chill and relaxed. They have a full liquor bar and the colors of the walls and trim represent a relaxed cabana environment that could be on an island retreat. Would return to try more of the menu, without question.

Wanted to try out Osprey Tacos as I heard it was good. Like the chill ambiance - order at the counter and there's outdoor seating to relax and eat. Got the SD tacos because of course we are a San Diego family - it was good but a unique spin to tacos, the carne asada was a bit dry. Also got a bowl and it was packed with veggies, a plus. Could have had a bit moremeat for it. Overall nice taco joint.

This place is a very cute and small space but has some of the best tacos in Jacksonville. I wish it was a little bit more roomy because you can't really go with a large group of friends. It gets crowded indoors pretty quick. I enjoyed everything I had there though. The guacamole was delicious and so was the corn. Everyone that works here is also very sweet, which makes it better. Their specialty margaritas are so yummy!! I had the passion fruit margarita and I definitely recommend.

Plenty of parking in the rear. Nice ambiance for a warehouse type building. Service was good. I had Tallarines de Camarons and my wife had tacos. Wow, the food was delicious. The chips and two different salsas were good too. I would definitely eat there again.

"We haven't had a bad experience here. We live One night! Our most recent visit was on cinco de Mayo about an hour before close. We were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away. I guess that's the perk of having so many Mexican restaurants in town. We ordered our favorites plus we shared a frozen piña colada and flan. I love my fiery fish tacos but I don't get the cabbage/onion mixture because it has cilantro. There crema with it is perfect. My bf loves the Mr.potato tacos. We always get their queso too. Sometimes my partner gets a Mexican coke or one of the mixed drinks. We love their blueberry lemonade and sangria. This time we shared a frozen piña colada and the flan. Just fyi they make their drinks strong."
"I come here so often it never even occurred to me I should write a review, and that is crazy because Talkin' Tacos is easily my favorite taco spot in Jacksonville. The food is amazing and always SO consistent. We have never been disappointed and we come here a LOT. I like to mix and match the tacos with my current preferred combination being the Caribbean Carne, the Bang Bang Shrimp, and the Birria. All are outstanding and it's impossible to rank them, I'm just glad they give you the option to pick 3. On cold days the birria grilled cheese and tomato soup are next level comfort foods. For starters you can't go wrong with the guacamole or the Street Corn in a Cup (crushed Takis on top?! Yes, please!!). The churros are to die for- cookies and cream are our personal favorites- and the tajin and chamoy gummies are a delicious and unique treat! Service here is outstanding. Everyone is super friendly, helpful, and prompt! We never find ourselves waiting long for food. You order from a kiosk, which is super convenient for those of us frequent fliers who know exactly what we want, and there is always someone nearby to help newcomers or the tech averse crowd. The restaurant itself has a great vibe. The neon and black look awesome together and the signs are great photo backdrops! The patio is beautiful and the perfect spot to enjoy your meal, especially when DJ Gonzo Style is out there dropping beats! I can't recommend this place enough and hope you'll love it as much as I do!"
"First visit here and definitely not the last. We were greeted with smiling happy faces. The restaurant felt like we were at the beach. The food came out quickly. The Zion Bowl was amazing. Perfect mix of heat and sweet. Cajun fries were pretty good too. Can't wait to go back and try some tacos."
"I like it ! It's great to take the kids ! And they like the food options. I always get salmon salad"
"Stopped in for launch. Not busy. Nice patio for the doggie to join us. Great margaritas. Service was excellent and so was the food. Best Mexican food I've had in a long time."
"Our favorite local restaurant. They have gotten a bit busier as word has gotten out. We always love their Skinny Margaritas. One of their best dishes is the birria tacos. Service is always fast and attentive."
"When you walk in the aesthetics are amazing. Looks like a swanky little sit down spot. Very quick and informal. They have kiosks where you order your own meal and pay for it then they bring your food to you. The steak rice bowl is what I ordered. Its a nice size bowl that will run you about $17 dollars. It was yummy. The staff brings your drinks and water. I would go back"
"Ocean Street Tacos earns a solid 4 stars for its tasty offerings and relaxed atmosphere. We tried the surf and turf, steak, chicken thigh, and brisket tacos. The meats were flavorful and cooked well, but I wish the tacos were more generously filled--at $5-$7 each, they felt a little light for the price. The place has a great selection of beers on tap, perfect for pairing with your meal. There's a cool outdoor seating area in the back that adds to the charm, but it was closed for a private event when we visited on New Year's Eve. The front seating area is a bit limited, so it seems like they usually depend on the back space for more dining options. The vibe is very much bar-style, with decor to match. The food came out quickly, and the front service was polite and efficient. Overall, it's a nice spot to grab a bite and a drink--just wish the tacos had a little more substance!"
"Met a guy here for a first date and really glad he picked this place! The chips and salsa were really good and we also tried the queso dip appetizer. It was a large portion of white melted gooey cheesiness!! We both tried the specialty tacos for our lunch and I loved every bite of mine! I enjoyed the Fiery Fish Taco with fried fish, onions, avocado, sriracha ranch, & lime habanero cabbage. The fish was decadent and the sauce really hit the spot. I also had the pleasure of consuming the Chipotle Shrimp Taco with grilled shrimp, cabbage, pico de gallo, and homemade chipotle sauce. Succulent, juicy shrimp cooked perfectly and the sauce was incredible!! Both tacos exhibited the perfect melding of flavors and textures. I'll most definitely be back again and would probably order the exact same specialty tacos because I loved them so much!!"
"I love Veracruz, Mexico so I told myself every Mexican restaurant that got Veracruz in it I will go to it I even went to a Veracruz restaurant in Spain before! When me and my boyfriend walked in we were standing awkwardly at the door area waiting to be seated but eventually we started walked down to the other side of the restaurant to ask the hostess/waitress if we can seat. She said just find a spot and I will come to you shortly. We received chips and salsa and ordered our drinks and then ordered our food 10 minutes past and our waters finally come. Few minutes past and our food and Horchata comes. The taste was amazing worth the wait. My boyfriend only got half way done with his burrito until he was extremely full! We really enjoyed this restaurant!"
"This is a food truck behind the Bog Brewing Co. Queen Bee loves tacos, so this was a no brainer. She opted for two chicken and one pork taco. I opted for three campechano tacos (steak and chorizo together). Both sets of three come with chips and salsa; we also ordered street corn. They even gave us a pager to let us know when chow's ready.Once it was: woo!!! Them tacos were fantastic! Queen Bee said they're the best she's had since she left San Diego over 20 years ago! We both half gobbled down one another's plates before realizing we got 'em mixed up! Street corn not so successful. Corn was boiled, not roasted. It was covered under such a pile of slop I needed at least two napkins for every bite. Flavorful, but too much of a train wreck in my opinion. I'd certainly return for tacos or try their other things, e.g. burritos. Keep the corn however!"
"This unassuming restaurant located in a strip mall off of 17 in Fleming Island is my new go-to spot for authentic Mexican cuisine. It's only been open for a year now at the time of me writing this review. Check it out...From the moment we were seated, the friendly staff made us feel right at home. The prompt service and delicious complimentary warm chips and fresh salsa set the tone for a fantastic meal.I started with their homemade tamale, a flavorful and tender masterpiece. The shredded pork was perfectly seasoned and melted in my mouth. For my main course, I couldn't resist trying the Fried Shrimp Taco and the Baja Fish Taco. Both were packed with flavor and complemented by the tangy chipotle and sweet mango sauces. My server's recommendation of the Taco Jalisco was spot on. The seasoned steak strips, sautéed onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes created a harmonious blend of flavors. It was juicy, tender, and incredibly satisfying. My mom was equally impressed with her classic cheese quesadilla. The restaurant's bright and spacious atmosphere, combined with the fast and friendly service, made for a truly enjoyable dining experience. The fresh, flavorful food and delicious sauces were the icing on the cake. Their menu is massive and has plenty for everyone in the family including a kid's menu. If you're looking for tasty authentic Mexican cuisine in Fleming Island, this hidden gem is a must-visit."
"Absolutely the nicest people and the food was fantastic. We have been here for breakfast and lunch. Amazing! Beach views and great food!"
"Just moved here and have been looking for a new go to taco place. This is it. The tacos were so good, the chips and queso was great, and the cinnamon sugar chips were hands down the best thing ever. Delivery was super quick too for a Saturday night."
"We visited St. Agustine and was really craving for some Filipino food at the end of our trip and we found this hidden gem. The owner and staff are super friendly. We ordered pancit, its a stir fry noodles with some vegestables and meat and its different because the meat is grilled with some lumpia or Filipino spring rolls. It taste delicious! We also got some pork bbq with rice, its perfectly cook. The bbq was not too salty and not too sweet and its perfect for white rice. Lastly we got some sisig. Sisig is one of my favorite Filipino dish and this place has their own style of cooking it. Its crispy and flavorful."
"Small Business Spotlight Yesterday while out and about I spotted El Trompo Loco on Atlantic Blvd and I just had to stop!!They have been on my list of Food Trucks to check out for months, so why not grab dinner on Taco Thursday Mike & Maria already knew my face and my love for good food and more importantly, Good People!
