"We went for lunch today and took some friends that has never been to Sushi Bear before. They loved what they got for lunch! We always get the hibachi with fried rice and chicken. Today we decided to get the shrimp and it was delicious. I think we will get this next time as well. We also got the Dynamite Sushi Roll to share. This is just one of our favorites. Our friends got the hibachi with fried rice and chicken. They said "wow" after lunch and said they can't wait to come back.Today the service was great! The food was great! The atmosphere was great! * Today they sang happy birthday to a person at the other table. This was soooo neat how they did it. Hopefully when you go you can hear them sing happy birthday."
"We were excited to try their menu and ordered for eat in. We had their salad and soup first. The lettuce was cold and the ginger dressing was pretty good. The soup was warm and had a light flavor that I really enjoyed. We both ordered teriyaki. Chicken and shrimp for me, steak and chicken for my dinner partner. The food came out quickly and we did both like the chicken. The steak was bit chewy and my shrimp not as firm and sweet as I like. I also wished the sauce had a bit more flavor. The broccoli was a little under cooked/steamed and needed seasoning. We were glad we stopped by, however, if we go again we will order something different.Make sure you check in for a YELP treat."

"Great dining experience here - this is not what I expected after walking in, this place is nothing short of amazing. The restaurant is spacious, beautifully decorated and appears to be immaculately clean - the staff here is very friendly and attentive and the food is so delicious and presented perfectly giving you the appearance of a very high end restaurant with prices that are so reasonable you'll want to order a little bit of everything. We started with the shrimp tempura roll and substituted fresh cut jalapeños for the avocado they did have a $1.00 up-charge for this but it was amazing and a large portion. We also enjoyed the House Pad Seew prepared Thai Hot (#5 Spice Level) it was an exceptional dish with thin flat broad noodles with with lots of chicken, shrimp and steak I omitted the bean sprouts I guess I'm a picky eater, we also ordered the Thai Shrimp Fried Rice medium hot (#3 Spice Level) another well executed dish. This is a restaurant I hope to return to again and again. If I have any concerns it's the parking lot, there seems to be plenty of parking spaces being it's in a small strip mall but the spaces are really tight with very narrow one way aisles I had no trouble getting in and out in my Jeep Wrangler but I watched several customers with large vehicles struggle to the point it was ridiculous but entertaining, I'd recommend finding a space further out if possible. If you're on the fence deciding on where to find great Thai Food and Sushi this place is definitely worth a try especially since the options for Thai Food is somewhat limited in St. Augustine there's lots to love here..."
"Hana Yori after thoughts - place is simply yet elegantly furnished that reminds me of my days in Okinawa, the square patron personalized wooden planks that surround the walls are a wonderful touch of Japanese decor. Table settings are spacious & clean. Attendants are friendly & quick in service.Dinner selections:Sushi Plate (served with Cali & Tempura Rolls, after served, learnt it was the correct amount paired with the 5 nigiri sushi selected by chef) - fish was fresh & served exactly like sushi in Okinawa - with thin wasabi placed between the fish & rice. THIS IS NOW #1 in my JAX SUSHI SPOT just for quality, preparation & portions!!! Wasabi & ginger (Gari) is good quality as well. This meal is served with salad, opting for ginger dressing that was crisp, cool & a delight start of my meal.Extra order: Yellowtail & California Roll - both correctly rolled into bite size pieces, not huge like other restaurants that can be difficult to place in one's mouth, making consumption an unpleasant experience. Repeat, 2 extra rolls would have been difficult to finish if Mom was not present to assist. 2 rolls included in "Sushi Plate" is perfect for 1 person.Shrimp & White Fish Combo Hibachi with teriyaki sauce on the side (normally served over white fish) - Mom enjoyed this dish, fish was good portion, vegetables were delicately cooked & the shrimps were plenty, cooked to perfection.Recommendations: hot tea, tolerable but could be better quality "green tea" that is meant to enhance the sushi meal. Clear soup served with sushi, also tolerable but needs refinement in overall taste.A TRUE SUSHI LOVERS MUST TRY HOT SPOT!!! .5 of (4.5 of 5)"
"Everything tasted fresh! Great deals for a Sunday. They have Tori, uni and hamachi Kama! We will definitely be back!"
"Lunch time. There is some construction work in the parking lot but still plenty of space. Had vegetable fried rice yummy. I had soup wife had a salad. Friendly staff good food it's a 5/5."
"Mary was our server today and she was very on point. I asked for extra sauce for my rice and she was filling up my water pronto. The rice portions have definitely gotten skimpy and the chef flattens it out to make it look like a full plate. Hawaiian wings tasty but not exceptionally hot. Calamari was good. Came during an off peak hour so plenty of seating.. Sunny day for people watching."
"We frequent this location at least 3 times a month. Always fast service, fresh consistent food."
"Yet another great sushi dinner brought to us by trusting Yelp. We've tried (and reviewed) a lot of sushi places in the area. Nothing has really disappointed us but only a few have stood out. Crazy Sushi is a stand out.Like many places in the area, it doesn't look like much from the outside. When you get inside, you see a place that's bigger than you'd expect and a VERY busy take out station. They were pretty packed when we went on a Friday night but we were still sat immediately. Our waitress was on top of things as she took care of us and at least 3 other tables. We order a good variety of stuff between apps and rolls. Everything was as good or better than we were hoping. We're usually in that area on Friday nights and I'm reasonably sure that Crazy Sushi will be our go-to place in the area now."
"Good food, great service. I ordered sushi, a side of fried rice and krab ragoon, online. The staff was really friendly and the food was really fresh tasting. I will definitely be going back."
"I love this place! We have the best service every time we come here. The sushi is amazing - yes, I was starving, so I was ready to eat, but I wasn't so hungry that I couldn't tell how delicious the food was! We started with an appetizer of tempura green beans. GET IN MY BELLY - I don't know what they do to those beans, but they are amazing We had three different sushis - and honestly I have no idea which ones we got, but they were all very flavorful! Everyone has their own versions they like - there are plenty of options, so I'm sure you can find one that suitsThe atmosphere is romantic, but loud! Lots of details, and digitally enhanced! (if you have been there you know what I mean) Outside dining available when temperatures allow. Tonight we had exceptional service!"
"Saw this sushi place as my best option for sushi in Jax, since it was close to my friend's house. I was visiting from Nashville and wanted to take her to the nearest and fanciest sushi place. She said the reviews were great and was excited to go. The sushi lunch special was good, but I would have bought the sashimi special she selected. It was a great price and delicious! The crab Rangoon was the best. Ambience was perfect with the colored lighting. Place was clean. Staff was nice. I didn't like that free wifi was not available. Still 5 stars!"

The service is really good! I haven't had their sushi but based off their name, I think it would be pretty good! They have a nice interior!on the left wall where I usually sit they have like colored wood blocks that have little drawings! Fried rice is good too.

Kazu is always spectacular! My best friend and I had dinner last night and both agreed that the food here really is top tier. It's the freshest quality, the best flavors, and excellent service. Yung was very pleasant & helpful in our sake selection (we went with the Snow Maiden - delicious!) and was prompt with service. Our absolute favorite roll was the Lemon Drop roll. However, everything here is so fresh that you can't really go wrong. The edamame was a nice surprise with our yelp check-in. The vibe is relaxed & cozy, yet very nice. It's a place that you can stop at after a day of shopping with friends, or a nice date night. Will definitely be back!

This place was so good. I was in a party of 3 and were seated right away. No wait. The place was stylish the shush bar very beautiful and trendy. The waiter came to our table right away and took our drink orders and made some great suggestions. As far as lunch. We each ordered different rice dishes, and it took no time to have our meal arrive. Our server was very pleasant. They have a modern little robot gadget that follows her with your food order as if you're in Japan. It was pretty awesome. She came back about three times to check on us to see if we needed anything else when we were done, she promptly delivered our bill.

Unassuming location at the end of a plaza with excellent Asian cuisine! The chef is from Thailand so had to try the Pad Thai which was cooked perfectly and the waiter offered spices to season it up! My husband had the shrimp and vegetable tempura bento box and its presentation was wow! Everything tasted delicious, very fresh. The miso soup and salad were so fresh as well. It was a different dressing in the salad, like a chili paste mixed with peanut sauce. Two for one on the saki was an added bonus. Waiter was kind to give our dogs water!!

"My boyfriend and I have made this our date spot on Wednesdays. We specifically come for the nigiri, it always taste so fresh and mouth watering. Today we also tried the crab rangoons which were pretty good, seaweed salad which was great and we had a spicy garlic edamame. Zoe took care of us and we love her! 10/10 recommend"
"My hubs and I went on a random date night to Sushi Garden for the 1st time! Love love loved the atmosphere, friendly staff, and the adorable sushi logo seen throughout the restaurant made it so much fun! The best part was the sushi, of course! Presentation matched the taste of each piece perfectly We had a side of pork dumplings, and they were delicious as well. We paired our dinner with the cold mango saki; in which, tasted like a delightful dessert smoothie. I loved Sushi Garden so much, that I am now considering it my most favorite sushi spot in the Mandarin area! Can't wait to come back and experience more of the menu!"
"Finally managed to sneak over here without the entourage we usually have to bring (i.e., son, daughter in law, grand daughter...) to enjoy dinner together, just the hubby and myself. Usually on a Saturday night, this place is PACKED and not just for dinner! We've been once or twice on a Saturday and sworn we'd never go on that night again because of the half drunk women and men at the bar, the thumping music turned up loud so they're all yelling to be heated over the music...you get the picture...No so, tonight. Tonight we settled into our booth with the football game on (turned so low you can't hear it), the restaurant filled with the quiet murmur of voices of the other couples enjoy their meals...there was even a party of 15 seated at the long table up front with children (not that you'd have noticed since they were so quiet and well-behaved!) enjoying what looked like a family get-together.Can't help coming back here over and over...the food is CONSISTENTLY THAT GOOD. Sushi? Out of this world! Hibachi? Knocks it out of the ballpark! But omg...their clear soup is something you just want a kiddie pool size of so you can almost bathe in that stuff...look at our bowls! Yeah. There's nothing left!!Their house salads with that ginger dressing? Equally delicious. Their yum-yum sauce (they call it shrimp sauce) is on point and so is their steak sauce. We have never been disappointed with anything we've eaten here. It's always hot, freshly prepared, delicious! So much better than any other place I've tried...what's that saying? "Always copied, never duplicated". That's this place. I've tried so many hibachi places, sushi places...no place I've been to HAS BOTH under the same roof. The service is excellent, haven't found anything to ever complain about except the occasional drunk or obnoxious patron, but that's not the establishment's fault. That's society's fault If you love sushi...or if you don't, but you love hibachi...or tempura, or gyoza dumplings, seaweed salad...any Japanese dish you can think of or combination of sushi flavors...fried rolls or raw rolls....sushi or sashimi pieces too...try this place and you'll find your newest fav spot to have that night out!!"
"Let me preface this with the fact that I was here with a group of ten people. Serving that many people and keeping the experience seamless is a skill that a lot of restaurants do not have. Nori not only handled the group beautifully, but when it came time to settle up the bill, despite several people trying to pick up different items, they managed it without issue. Neither my wife nor I are big fans of sushi so we both ordered the hibachi. My shrimp and steak were both cooked to perfection. The vegetables were under seasoned which left them feeling g a little bland. The sushi was a Huge (yes I capitalized the word huge intentionally) hit. Our group had ordered two separate sushi "boats" plus several additional rolls. There was not a single unhappy (or hungry) person left at the table."
"We decided to do a girls night out and everyone agreed on sushi. We decided on Fuji sushi and were pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Baymeadows roll and loved it. This will be my go to. If you are hungry and like all you can eat, this place is for you. I cannot do all you can eat so I just ordered the two rolls in wanted. They were nice size and the price was great. Will be visiting again"
"Loved this place. I'm not local but next time I'm in Jacksonville this is a no brainer. Yellowtail Jalapeño sushi appetizer, we ordered two of those the first was so good. Same with the Chili Tuna Tataki.High quality fish, got a couple rolls which were excellent as well, everything was so good we kept ordering. Nice service and ambiance as well."
"It was all literally perfect. including the service, the food, and the boba teas very pleased with this place I would definitely come again"
"Hubby had a taste for some Pan Thai noodles and found the Kawa Sushi Restaurant nearby. After enjoying his noodles he was so excited for me to check out this 'new spot'. There are so many positives with this restaurant. #1. Their Thai Bubble Tea is DELICIOUS! #2. Their music was so calming and soothing - slow as well as contemporary. Need to know the station. #3. The staff is welcoming and attentive. #4. The restrooms are clean! Now that's important! Our server, Ella, was nice and courteous. She wanted to make sure, our meals were prepared to our liking. I don't eat spicy whereas hubby loves fire-breathing hot. My salad was fresh and tasty with the ginger dressing.Even though the restaurant has been around for 11 years, the food is excellent! You have choices on the level of heat and the numerous food selections. We have found another 'repeat' spot that makes us happy!"
"I wish my second experience was as soon as my first. We arrived at 7pm on a Friday... the same time and day as last week. Tonight we had to wait for a few minutes to be acknowledged & a couple more to be seated. Once we were seated, it took about 5 minutes for someone to come around for our drink order. Other issues I ran into:- For my sushi order, I ordered 4 rolls, but only two came... so I waited a few minutes and then confirmed with a waitress. She apologized. But then 3 rolls showed up, one I definitely didn't have an intention on ordering. My "people pleaser" side came out so I said it was fine. But this extra roll made me feel forced to over eat something I didn't enjoy (so I wasn't charged for food leftover)- I ordered 7 pieces of sashimi (3 eel, 2 salmon, one Tobiko) - instead, 2 eels came, 2 salmon, and 2 Tobiko) - after asking for our check, the staff forgot to bring back our card (just brought our receipt to sign) - lukewarm bottled water (not an issue if you don't mind drinking water at that temp) All this aside, my husband's order was perfect. No issues at all. Another note: The ambiance was much busier & much louder this time."
"I can't believe I forgot how good this place is! I came back in this week after not having been in at least a year and wow , so good! And the prices are amazing ! I had the hibachi chicken for my first time, which I had no idea came with both noodles, rice, vegetables, soup and a salad ! What a steal! And so good! I also had a spicy salmon role, which was so good! The space is pretty small but it is nice and clean! The service is always nice and quick! P.S. use the menu on their website not on Apple Maps!"
"This was our first time at Pacific Asian Bistro. Service was fantastic. Neat and clean. Very affordable lunch specials. We ordered bbq ribs appetizer which was very flavourful. I had beef and broccoli with white rice. It tasted great. There was a bit too much sauce for my liking but next time I will just ask for less sauce. My husband had the chicken and broccoli which was also good. The lunch meal came with a choice of soup or egg roll and both were good."
"Honestly the. Best GF Asian I have ever had. If you have gluten allergies they are very accommodating and the sweet and sour chicken is sooo good. Inside is spacious and has an above average ambience."
"Amazing all you can eat place.... They have everything from rolls, hibachi and appetizers. First time there and will def be back for $15"
"I don't know why Wasabi has 3 stars but it deserves 5. I took my kids here for lunch & we all enjoyed the experience as well as the food. I tend to compare every hibachi restaurant to Arigato Steakhouse in Greensboro, NC. I travel a good bit & I don't care where I've gone nothing has topped Arigato or even came close. So, normally I'm one visit and done. But, Wasabi was definitely a very strong second & I absolutely will be returning!"
"Our quick to go spot for sushi! Same mom server who is always so nice and kind to us. We always have a good experience here. It's quiet, intimate and clean. I order a different roll each time and it's always so good! A bento box is a bento box. Everywhere I go they all taste the same. I'm not fond of them. It is your basic japanese lunch food and it's not supposed to be mindblowing. So I don't understand some reviews expecting it to be the highlight of a japanese restaurant. Hence, I order sushi. But we order it anyway to share with my family of 4 with a toddler and a baby. (My baby eats the veggie tempura, win! And my toddler eats the rice and chicken, double win!) Hubby and I get more rolls on top of our signature rolls and gyoza as appetizer (winner winner chicken dinner!) This place always feels like home to us. No need to worry about a crowd unlike other sushi places."
"Delicious food, fast and smiling service and good prices sum up our experience here in April, 2024. Located in a strip mall near a Publix, this little gem offers eat in or carry out. It was very clean and nicely decorated. We sat in a comfy booth and visited rather late in the evening (about 8 pm). Everything was freshly prepared. We enjoyed their Sashimi, sushi, a burrito with crab and hibachi with chicken and shrimp as well as shrimp fried rice. We ate in and were started with a complimentary bowl of miso soup or clear soup. They also treated us to 3! honey rolls (filling similar to crab rangoons wrapped with rice, flat fried and drizzled with honey OMG YUM). The shrimp and chicken hibachi was lightly sauced with fresh grilled veggies and fried rice. Shrimp fried rice was a big pile of fried rice topped with tons of medium sized shrimp in a tasty glaze. The burrito was delicious and the shrimp tempura roll was tasty. Prices were very reasonable. We would return here in a heartbeat."
"I've been wanting to try this restaurant for some time for the all you can eat sushi and hibachi. My daughter and I went on a Saturday during lunch and it was pretty busy. We only waited for about 15 minutes before being seated. My first impression walking in was it was dark inside and the tables are VERY close to each other. We were seated in the back and the tables next to us were so close I had to walk sideways just to sit on the opposite end of our table. After about 5 minutes of sitting, our waitress took our drink order but didn't explain how things worked as far as ordering. Maybe she thought we were regulars? We did see people around us that seemed to know what they were doing but it would have been nice to ask if we've been there before. Anyways, we saw the little pieces of papers on our table and just jotted the corresponding numbers of the menu items we both wanted on this paper. When the waitress returned we gave it to her. The food would then sporadically be brought to us on small plates. One thing we realized is each person should fill in their own orders per sheet and write their seat number (seat number was written on the paper placemat where you were sitting). The food was ok. I enjoyed the salmon. The steak was inconsistent whereas the first order was tender and flavorful however the second order was tough and gristly. My daughter said the sushi was ok. It looked very simple with just raw fish on a mound of rice. She didn't care for the deep fried roll because of the batter. The lunch price is a good deal for what they offer. The only caveat is knowing what to order that's good because they have a No Waste Policy and will charge you for leftovers. Overall the price was reasonable. I didn't care how the tables were too close together and how dark it was inside. As far as service, there may have been a language barrier between our waitress because when I tried to ask a question about something on the menu (I just wanted to know how many pieces of sushi came in an order), she waved her hand and said "No" assuming she didn't know anything about the menu."
"Fantastic sushi spot, one of my favorite restaurants in JAX. Service is always outstanding. Extremely clean & friendly. Love this place!"
"What a fun dining experience. This location was worth the drive to Orange Park. I've dined at the St Augustine location many years ago but have not been to any other location until this past Tuesday. There is no comparison. I love the attention to detail Green Papaya has taken on (specifically this one) From drinks, to apps, to entrees, there is something added or special with each coarse. Robo cat bringing the entrees to the table was such a fun surprise. Robo kitty even talks! He/she can carry 4-6 entrees at one time! The pictures don't do the ambiance half the justice it deserves. Of course they had some Christmas decor sprinkled throughout the restaurant and bar, but even without the holiday decor, the restaurant is so beautifully decorated 24/7. Alexa and I had impeccable service from start to finish. We had the manager come by to check on us, the bartender, busser, hostess, etc. Top tier service the entire time. I loved the coconut margarita, sushi, and Thai fried rice the best. I can't wait to come back and try more items next time . If you are looking for a fun birthday spot, this is the place!"
"We placed a large to go order last night and I was really impressed with the quick service as well as the sushi! All the rolls were on a large platter and everything looked so good! The Batman bomb roll was our family's favorite! The woman who took our order included a free order of crab rangoons which were a huge hit with the kids. I regret that I didn't take any pictures to share. But we will be ordering again soon!"
"We were craving asian cuisine, but not the "run of the mill" takeout Chinese that's routinely available on Amelia Island. Having driven by Ahan a multitude of times, we decided to"what the heck" ... let's go for Thai. Having lived just outside of Philadelphia, I know great Thai cuisine, so I was prepared for a somewhat mediocre dining experience. I was very wrong; the food at Ahan Thai is the "real deal"! We started with the steamed pork dumplings; they were very similar to a traditional Chinese shu mai, but with no shrimp, and served with a very Thai-ish dipping sauce thickened with dark soy sauce. Our mains were Penang curry with chicken, and drunken noodles (again with chicken). Beware-portion sizes here are best described as "humongous" :-) The Penang curry was lightly scented with peanuts, with a fantastic assortment of veggies and a really good portion of chicken. The jasmine rice was served out of a very cute heart shaped mold; a nice touch. The dish was served "American mild". The drunken noodles (again, a large portion) were served "American spicy" which was about a 1.5 on the traditional Thai 1-5 spice scale. I like a bit more bite than that, and the spice tray was brought to the table with a smile. The noods were perfectly cooked, and, again, a solid portion of veggies and chicken were on the plate. We both took at least half of our entree portions home and enjoyed them for dinner the next night. Total bill for an app, 2 entries, and a big glass of Thai iced tea was $48. Highly recommended for an affordable and authentic Thai meal in Nassau County, FL!"
"SIL brought us here after we were out shopping. It's right around the corner from where they live and they said it's their "Go To" sushi place nearby. I don't remember looking around much, must have been too hungry. Haha. But, it was a decent sized place. Good table space, we had a party of five. Quick friendly service! We arrived about 1pm on a Friday. Nice Lunch Specials! Good price for the amount of food you get, in my opinion. I got the Steak and Shrimp hibachi. Very flavorful! And I loved that the steak wasn't overcooked, I usually order medium. Shrimp was good, not rubbery. Veggies weren't soggy - just right. It came with clear soup and ginger salad, both yum. I also got a Spicy Krab roll (I told you I was hungry), I didn't taste the spicy much, maybe I'm just used to spice. It had crunchy dry stuff which I didn't care for, but it was still good. Mom had the Chicken Lunch Box with grilled vegetables, fried rice, and Philly Roll. She liked it, she even finished it, which is rare for her. Haha. I did help with some of her roll. All in all, I think it's worth checking out, especially during lunch time. Oh and just a heads up, I saw that gratuity was included in the bill. Not sure if that was because we had a larger party or if that's a norm, so just wanted to let you all know. The gratuity they added was less than what I would have chosen to give them, so you can add to it, if you like. But I thought you should know it might already be there. Happy eating!"
"Great Hibachi restaurant located in the River City Shopping area. Spacious parking and great scenery. The inside is spacious decorated and cozy with a lot of lighting. Our server Sky was hilarious and very talented. The rice was well seasoned as well as the vegetables and meats. I really enjoyed the food and the excellent service."
