"This is one of my favorite places to grab a bite to eat when visiting my parents from out of town. First and foremost, the service is wonderful and I've never had a bad experience. Waitresses made sure drinks were full and that we were good multiple times throughout meals. Food is always a hit. I highly recommend the hamburger or the country fried steak. Though, it's worth mentioning, you can't go wrong. They have an awesome salad bar and soup option that is always fully stocked with excellent options that I've also gotten multiple times. If you want to have a great meal - sixth street is the place for you! Will continue to be a repeat customer."

"I visited corky bells for an early dinner. The parking lot was almost full at 5pm. I decided to eat at the bar. The restaurant was very clean and decorated nicely. The waitresses at the bar were courteous and attentive. She took my drink order and gave me a memo. I ordered blackened shrimp and scallops with greens and stewed tomatoes and okra. The waitress kept my drink filled. The food was excellent . The shrimp and scallops were cooked well. The portion size was good. Overall it was a good meal. I would recommend it. I will return next time I'm in palatka."

"I visited Chop House for the first time on a Saturday evening at 5 PM. Rooftop seating was full so I found us a spot at a high table at the bar. We started with the focaccia served with herb butter and olive tapenade. Oh my, the bread was soft on the inside and crispy around the edges. I added the olives and a little butter and enjoyed a few slices. I ordered the NY strip and my friends and I ordered several sides to share. The steak was cooked perfectly, medium, and was packed with flavor. It was so big, I ate half for dinner and the rest the following day. We shared truffle fries, asparagus and brussel sprouts. My favorite was the tie between the brussels, crispy and seasoned well, and asparagus, tasty and tender but not mushy. My least favorite were the truffle fries. Not because they tasted bad, but because I'm not a huge fry fan.No dessert because we were stuffed. Our server was attentive and friendly. I would love to go back and hope to find an open table on the rooftop next time."

"They open at 5 and apparently all the locals with a drinking issue know and show up for the "good drinks" ! There was a line of AARP folks needing some liquid courage. Me, I came for food. The burger was delicious and cooked perfectly The fries were also hot and tastyThis place has been around for a bazillion years so go read up.If you stay north of the dinner menu, you can have a nice evening out without breaking the budget, go south and it's pricey! But drink some of those famous drinks and you won't care about the prices. The restaurant has a dated feel and could definitely use a facelift, but if your all dranked up, it don't matter!"

Sure, it's a generic airport bar and a bit bland. Prices are high for what you get. But all things considered, three people are a large, tasty lunch for $100 (including tip). We'll return the next time we fly out of Jax."

"Long wait and no real reservations taken. We called at 4pm and made a 7pm "check in". When we got there at 655p they told us there would be a 25min wait and that they do not do reservations. There is a sign on their check in table saying they are understaffed and to expect a longer wait for service. Our waitress was very attentive and we didn't notice a long wait to order. The wait was acceptable for a Saturday night. Especially since the place was packed. Our cook was pretty funny but didn't do very many of the theatrics that Japanese Steak houses are known for. The meal was prepared well but lacked a good sized portion of veggies. We had a massive portion of rice and twice during our meal prep he had to have someone run back to the kitchen to get missing ingredients from his cart. The food was good but for the higher price tag I felt like the meal was sub par. I'm guessing the elevated costs in comparison to other Japanese steak houses is due to the locale near a tourist destination."

"Last night was my first time at Cross Creek. Went for a birthday celebration and they were easily able to accommodate a party of 20 with a reservation which was nice! I ordered the country fried steak which came with 2 sides- I got mashed potatoes with brown gravy (brown gravy on my steak too) and country green beans. Overall everything tasted great! Potatoes were yummy, gravy didn't necessarily taste homemade but it was still good and they didn't skimp on the gravy! The country fried steak had good flavor but wasn't as crispy as I wouldn't liked. The breading was falling off which is kind of the whole point of the dish. The steak itself was a little thicker than I like for my CFS which made it harder to cut and more tough. Overall it was still good and I enjoyed it. Service was a bit slow but that's to be expected with such a large party. I don't mind waiting for our food when we have a group that big. My only complaint is that half the table had their entrees while the other half were just getting their salads to start. Some of us had to wait quite awhile for our drinks and refills. There were two servers working our party and I know they were running around a lot so I do appreciate their hard work. They have 2-4-1 drinks all day everyday!"

I tend to compare every hibachi restaurant to Arigato Steakhouse in Greensboro, NC. I travel a good bit & I don't care where I've gone nothing has topped Arigato or even came close. So, normally I'm one visit and done. But, Wasabi was definitely a very strong second & I absolutely will be returning!"

Top 3 faves for my crew were the ribeye, galbi and bulgogi. Honorable mentions to the pork belly and brisket. Don't feel like you have to rush to get your money's worth... 2 hours is plenty of time to enjoy the cooking experience and try the many food options.Server was friendly and answered all our questions and offered great suggestions."

It is a 3 story restaurant with a rooftop bar and fabulous view of Jacksonville. Cowford was recommended to me by a Yelpie friend, who had been here several times and I am grateful to him. Be sure to make reservations because this place is super popular. Our server was Kennedy, who was very welcoming, attentive and professional with a good personality! We teased him and called him Mr. President. This was back on 12/21/24. He knew the menu inside and out. My daughter and I ordered the filet mignon with the dish of AuGratin potatoes. We were raving about how delicious our meal was! Simply perfection! I wish we didn't live so far away so we could come here more often. To accompany our meals, my daughter ordered the Judy Z Mia Mia cocktail and I had the Florida Old Fashioned. Both drinks were very good! We ended our evening with a couple of incredibly delicious desserts. My daughter had the Cinnamon Roll Creme Brulee, which she loved. I had the Chocolate cake, which wasn't your ordinary slice of cake but some perfectly delicious round lava type cake that was out of this world good! I still remember how it melted in my mouth! It was served with a scoop of chocolate ice cream. Fantastic. 5/5 stars!We loved where we were seated on the second floor right next to the open space in the middle where we could look down into the 1st Floor at the bar. That was so cool! We were so pleased to be there.We chose valet parking but there may be street parking or a parking garage near by. Their elevator is very roomy with a wooden wall carving. I'm still not sure what it represented but it was very interesting. We had a great evening and can't wait to return."

"On an Atkins diet, but needed to feed the family and +1, who are not in a diet. No one is a huge seafood fan except me. Kid is coming along and her BF will try anything. So we picked this place. The staff? Exceptional, all of them. The food? FRESH and fast! Everything was fantastic. Wife rarely would give seafood a rating (she does love shrimp), but the hush puppies were fantastic. Both kids loved everything deviled crab, clam strips, Pop corn shrimp. None over cooed and dried out. I had blackened flounder which was also absolutely GREAT! The green beans they do some voodoo magic on. Pretty sure it involved bacon and bacon grease. I have never recommended (side) green beans. I will here. Portions were large. The salad veggies were crisp and fresh. I rarely give a 5 star, but the staff? They took it over the top. The entire time there were people waiting to be seated. That's a testament."

"I guess the concensus is that this is the best place to eat in River City. It probably is the best steak as Longhorn and Outback are the only other options. There is always a wait, I don't mind a few minutes but there is sometimes a wait of two hours. I will not be doing that.The steaks are good for a commercial, budget friendly steakhouse. They are cooked to the requested temp and have a good seasoning. You will not need steak sauce to add flavor. They bread is a yeast roll and have a firm crust and a soft center, served with cinnamon butter. If you order a salad it always comes before the meal, not with it as seems to be the new way to serve a salad. They have an app called an onion petal or something like that. It is far superior to what some other chains do with the same type of app.The service is always excellent. This must be the culture of the restaurant as most places in the area (and there are a lot) do not give this kind of service. When you are seated, the hostess puts a tag on your table. This tells the manger that he or she has not stopped by yet. A manager will always speak to you here. The servers go above and beyond to ensure you have a good experience. They check in after your food is served at the appropriate time, never let your drink get empty, then check in regularly.My only complaint is the loud music. It is kind of a bar atmosphere throught the place. It won't stop me from going but I do feel it is a bit excessive."

We typically stop here for a meal when we golf on this side of town and they never disappoint."

He really enjoyed his meal as well.Anna did a great job serving us. "It was a fun night walking around looking at the Nights of Lights. We had made reservations before our trip at River & Fort after getting high recommendations from another Yelp friend. It was packed when we arrived but we were seated within 20 minutes after a warm welcome from the hostess and taken upstairs to the second floor. Everyone was having fun upstairs also. Music was playing fairly loud and the crowd was loud but it was tolerable. It was a few days before Christmas so everyone was in good spirits and high energy. The place was beautifully decorated!Our server was Marlou D and she was great. She was knowledgeable about the menu and had good recommendations. I ordered the Misu Glazed Salmon with Sweet Potato mash, which was very good!!I had an Iced Tea. My daughter ordered the Short Rib entrée and was happy with her choice. She ordered the Bourbon and Berries cocktail with her meal and was pleased. Marlou came around to check on us frequently, which was great.Parking was difficult to find because of the Nights of Lights going on but we managed about 1/2 a block away across the street. River & Fort is very beautiful from the outside and inside. We would definitely return there again."

Made reservations for my 40th birthday with 8 of my closest friends. We drank and dined on delicious food/cocktails. Pricing was a bit ridiculous but knew that going in. Wouldn't come again unless it was for a really special occasion. Service was decent. Kendall was our server. As the "birthday girl" I was disappointed that I was the last person the waiter asked for food/drink order. He really didn't treat me like a special guest or make sure I was cared for like you'd expect from a pricing upscale establishment on your birthday. To top it off, I got no dessert for my birthday or even asking if I wanted to order dessert. Not impressed. Atmosphere was not great. We were sat in a room at the far back left and had i guess 3-4 other parties in there. It was so loud I could barely hear the conversation at my table. I had to yell to communicate. Not what you want at an upscale dinner for your 40th birthday."

"Right off of Southside blvd this place was small yet cozy and intimate. Right off we were seated and inside was quaint yet cozy. Inside I noticed it was small spaced but the lighting was well lit and simple yet elegant. Menu was decent we started off with the Bolingbrook cod croquettes which was delish. With the green creamy sauce with it. It's like tender melted mini fish fillet bites. Also, we had the Brazilian cheesy bread. We got the Pichana top sirloin which came with sides of potatoes and fried Yuca which was delicious. However, we were looking forward to having the steak with chimichurri sauce which they ran out of. The sauce is definitely a staple with Brazilian steaks so they should have kept a good supply of it or at least told us they ran out as we were ordering the steak. Anyhow everything else was lovely. Service was prompt. Definitely worth the visit."

The service was great, we had 6pm reservations and some items on the menu were not available such as the roasted chicken, sea bass, or the fish special of the day. We were very happy she informed us. The food was delicious and we all had an excellent time. The valet was also an added bonus. We will definitely be back in the future.
