"Josh at the bar was friendly and efficient. Make sure you have reservations - even if you're going early. Place is super popular! Grilled Seafood Platter very good - Grilled Salmon was excellent! Will be back!"
"Wife and I are hungry and wanted to Enjoy the Ocean view so we stopped by to eat at this Restaurant! Bree was our waitress! Music was great food is superb, Bree performance as a waitress was okay. She forgot to introduce her self, she forgot to bring us waters, she forgot to bring us napkins and condiments, she forgot to bring me tartar sauce for my fish and chips and I had to ask her to kindly bring me sauce for my fish. Beautiful Ocean view though! She informed me that it was on the table already and she apologized for not letting me know because it was hiding behind my drinks. Over All I would rate this place a 4 star!"

"This place is a solid option when dining in St Augustine. It was a busy Saturday in the city and we were quickly taken to a table on the heated patio. Our drinks weee good. I had a mezcalaruta. Good flavor and fresh ingredients. For dinner I had the barbacoa which was lamb based. It was adequate. The meat tasted tough but the plantains were excellent. Our service was slow but it was a nice night. We were between music sets. It seems they need to improve the time between acts. Would be nice to hear music at 5:30."
"We went for lunch today and took some friends that has never been to Sushi Bear before. They loved what they got for lunch! We always get the hibachi with fried rice and chicken. Today we decided to get the shrimp and it was delicious. I think we will get this next time as well. We also got the Dynamite Sushi Roll to share. This is just one of our favorites. Our friends got the hibachi with fried rice and chicken. They said "wow" after lunch and said they can't wait to come back.Today the service was great! The food was great! The atmosphere was great! * Today they sang happy birthday to a person at the other table. This was soooo neat how they did it. Hopefully when you go you can hear them sing happy birthday."
"Ale soaked wood and the sounds of the sea make this beach bar perfect! Food's good and drinks are cold but it's the atmosphere that will keep you coming back"
"Great pub, but more of a college bar than anything, from what I saw and experienced at least.I loved everything about this place except the obnoxious college kids running about loud and rambunctious. I miss being one of them tbh. haha! It's a super cool bar inside and out and the outside patios in the front have great water views plus their back patio is open and spacious. We had a beer and a mixed drink and they were both great.I got and IPA which was great and my girlfriend got the Key West Lemonade and it too was great. There isn't much to not like about this place. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is lovely, the food looked amazing, the drinks are plentiful, but the times we went it was a little overcrowded for my personal taste. Needless to say I'll be back again.Sláinte!"
"I had made reservations here for a Saturday night. I was not very familiar with the area, but this restaurant came up on OpenTable and we decided to try it out. We were greeted as we walked in to a very busy restaurant. We thought this was going to be great since it was so busy...glad we got reservations! Our waiter Richard was very friendly and very attentive... hence the 2 stars. We ordered the special, which you can see in the photo. Main protein was a 10oz steak and those two crab cakes on top. The presentation of the steak was.... extremely underwhelming, but I decided to try it anyway. I ordered mine medium rare and my wife medium. She cut into hers after a few tries and it was raw on the inside. I cut mine in the middle and mine was slightly under a medium rare, but again I went with it. My wife sends hers back as I get to eating mine... I cut it from the edge only to find out it was... raw? On the edge? Very weird to me, so I ended up cutting around the steak and ever edge was raw. I ended up just not eating mine and my wife's, the second time around was also raw on the outsides... we just didn't eat our steaks and they comped us. What was good was the small crab cakes and the complimentary bread and butter. I look at the other photos of steaks and they have a good crust on them, but ours looked like they were cooked on a medium heat pan... We won't be coming back. But thankfully there's plenty of other options in Avondale."
"Nice place in St. Augustine that has live entertainment and a wonderful beach vibe. I didn't see a single person not enjoying themselves. The food is good for the most part but my flounder was little dry on the Carribean Coconut Catch but it was still good. My wife absolutely love the Rum Scallops which were nice and tender. Not overcooked at all. This place is a must visit in St. Augustine. Highly recommend."
"If I can label this visit for a subject line, it would be - It's worth it. First time visiting. Rave reviews regarding customer service was true. Jenna is the manager and she was super nice, understanding and accommodating. Our waitress was super patient. Will definitely be back Tuesday or on a Wednesday night. I was stuffed as the food was on point . Sauces tasted homemade. Good tarter sauce for those who like in fried dishes. Blackened was good also. Manager had a special spicy drink with jalapeño added with Patron that was ideal. Thank you all for being so kind! I'll be back for that alone because customer service is everything for me. Great job."
"First I'll say the service was excellent! The waitress was so attentive and dedicated to our large table. I truly appreciate the hospitality. The food was really tasty and good portions. I had enough to take home and have for lunch the next day. It was a little on the expensive side but totally worth it. I noticed they have a happy hour and I can't wait to try that! I did the Drunken Noodles and they were amazing! I also had a rose wine and they even let me sample it beforehand to make sure I liked it. It was a great experience."
"If you are looking for an upscale, classy and romantic place for a special event, date, or celebration, then you have found the right place here! The ambiance is amazing! The decor is fabulous! It is a 3 story restaurant with a rooftop bar and fabulous view of Jacksonville. Cowford was recommended to me by a Yelpie friend, who had been here several times and I am grateful to him. Be sure to make reservations because this place is super popular. Our server was Kennedy, who was very welcoming, attentive and professional with a good personality! We teased him and called him Mr. President. This was back on 12/21/24. He knew the menu inside and out. My daughter and I ordered the filet mignon with the dish of AuGratin potatoes. We were raving about how delicious our meal was! Simply perfection! I wish we didn't live so far away so we could come here more often. To accompany our meals, my daughter ordered the Judy Z Mia Mia cocktail and I had the Florida Old Fashioned. Both drinks were very good! We ended our evening with a couple of incredibly delicious desserts. My daughter had the Cinnamon Roll Creme Brulee, which she loved. I had the Chocolate cake, which wasn't your ordinary slice of cake but some perfectly delicious round lava type cake that was out of this world good! I still remember how it melted in my mouth! It was served with a scoop of chocolate ice cream. Fantastic. 5/5 stars! We loved where we were seated on the second floor right next to the open space in the middle where we could look down into the 1st Floor at the bar. That was so cool! We were so pleased to be there. We chose valet parking but there may be street parking or a parking garage near by. Their elevator is very roomy with a wooden wall carving. I'm still not sure what it represented but it was very interesting. We had a great evening and can't wait to return."
"We come here time and time again. Every time we come we seem to have a different experience. We'd just come off a fishing boat at the Dunlawton launch and were pretty hungry so we decided to come here since it was close by. It was just after lunch time on a weekday and was still pretty packed, but we got in line, placed our order and found a nice place to sit outside where we could watch the world go by.I ordered the fish sandwich and was pretty pleased with the freshness and taste. The cole slaw is not very exciting but still has good flavor. My husband got a fish basket and our friend got a sandwich as well. Everything was good, and I actually liked the hush puppies this time. Wierd.Service was great, the server came over often to fill up the tea and water glasses and kept us in cold beers. Again, I wish Yelp had half points because this should be a 4.5 star review. I took off a star because the order station took a long time as one of the cashiers kept wandering off as the line got longer and longer so only one cashier would be taking all of the orders. This seems to be a consistent problem every time we've come. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and time at the restaurant."

Amazing food, service and view! We sat at the picnic tables on the dock and the view was spectacular! I had the mahi and grits and my wife had the mahi sandwich with avocado. Both were very good and we can't wait to go back!

Yum! These were my first crab legs of this style, but they were so soft and delicious ! They pulled apart so well and had so much flavor I didn't need the butter! The coconut shrimp was also so good as well as the Mac n cheese! The outdoor seating was also so pretty nice and right on the beach, which made the entire experience great!

Election Day 2024!Stopped by for a lite bite instead of a big lunch, so we ordered Ceviche. I had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc while my wife had to settle for a seltzer since she was on meds.Have to say, I can't complain, the Ceviche (with chips) was very good, as was the wine and the service. I'd be happy to stop in again anytime.

The service is really good! I haven't had their sushi but based off their name, I think it would be pretty good! They have a nice interior!on the left wall where I usually sit they have like colored wood blocks that have little drawings! Fried rice is good too.

Nice view, good food.We have been coming here for years. This beach side door offers indoor seating with a view of the beach .Prices are reasonable for the beach area. Did you have a small parking lot but is very limited. You must move your car once you are done eating. Nice long bar with TVs and friendly bartenders. This restaurant is a busy spot during the summer months so we can get very packed and loud and noisy but has a wonderful atmosphere in the food is good.

Nestled right on the waterfront in the historic city of St. Augustine, this Irish pub is a gemDespite arriving late, we were delighted to find that the late-night menu offered some fantastic options. We opted for the French dip sandwich, and it was absolutely fantastic rich, flavorful, and satisfying. Pairing it with some great draft beers, we couldn't have asked for a better way to end our evening. The combination of excellent service, delicious food, and a cozy waterfront setting makes this Irish pub a must visit spot in St. Augustine. We can't wait to return and try more of their menu!

Man, this place used to be off the hook back in the day with cars parked up and down the street; busy, busy, busy. They've been fairly quiet the last several many times we've been in over the years unless you wanted to wait to be seated in one of their cool unique Jamaican style grass huts over the water; you'll wait for that but it's fun. I'm only ever in these days to run up a tab at their tiki bar on the marina but my brother used to like taking me here to eat. Lots of good times. Lots of good memories.Wasn't too happy with yesterday. Bartender was unnecessarily gruff with us, uninviting, and unfriendly yet behaving obviously quite differently with his local yokel regulars. With two pedestrian drinks priced more than a handle of good rum and hospitality I'd fire someone over, we bailed and went somewhere else. Boo.

"Had a great dinner with family at Salt Life last night. We were a large group and service was great for fresh, excellently prepared meals. My sushi was fantastic and I'm in love with their wasabi. It was a small dollop but packed a punch and had sprinkled white and black sesame seeds coating it. Everyone loved their meal and I was so happy to actually carry on conversations with most of the table. Everyone had fish, shrimp or chicken tenders without any complaints. I couldn't see exactly what others ordered, but you can't go wrong."
"Very nice place. We were able to make reservations fairly last minute. The food was good and the wine list was nice. Waitstaff were very engaging and the customer service was impeccable."
"Indoor and outdoor seating with a nice bar area and a spectacular view of the ocean. This place feels elegant, yet casual. There's carpet throughout and on this very humid day of two weeks of rain left a slightly musty scent. Still a very clean and elegant setting. Staff is friendly and professional. I ordered a spicy Bloody Mary that was so satisfying. Nicely done! The Datil spiced Award Winning Seafood Chowder was creamy decadence with chunks of seafood and potatoes. My fried shrimp was light and crispy with succulent shrimp accompanied by a side of Datil pepper cocktail sauce. Perfect! My husband's order of Mahi Club was grilled and blackened and topped with smoky bacon and lettuce, tomato, onion and Swiss cheese with a dreamy avocado cream sauce. Amazing! Both our meals came with super crunchy well seasoned fries and Caribbean slaw. This is our first of many dining experiences as we intend to visit again often. Highly recommend!"
"This place was amazing the crabs and oysters delicious how to write juicy crab a 1 million star"
"Amazing little place. One of the best cafes on Amelia Island! Amy Joe recommended the fish tacos and flat bread chicken margarita pizza. Perfect!! Keep it up you guys! Atmosphere is great tucked amongst the old city trees and not a far walk from centre street."
"We treated ourselves with the oysters including Oyster Rockefeller, Parmesan Crusted and Key Lime Panko Crusted. Then our family shared the Fried Mariner's Combination for Two which included a combo of shrimp, oysters, scallops, clam strips, fish, & two deviled crabs with your choice of two sides. For $55, this fed a family of 3 with leftovers! They also offer a full bar with some specialty cocktails such as Rays Pride, Duval Teal and St John's Slinger. It's not fancy. It's rustic with history. Check out Captain Rays collection of handmade wooden boats and chill on the deck after a trip on the ferry for a fun weekend."
"Whenever we visit our college student, we go here. Period. End of story. It is not a fancy place but the food is great and the staff is friendly."
"Awesome place! I am so happy I was able to try it, food was fresh and good. Prices were good too nothing over the top. Our waitress was great so attentive and sweet. Our appetizers were the mozarella sticks and the caprese salad. The caprese was a win for me aside from the balsamic dressing it had pesto on it! Super good accompanient. Inside it like a house vintage cuteness. I ordered a Chianti and it was delicious, food was delicous give them a try!"
"We have been wanting to stop in and check this place out while in the area, it's definitely a five star location, what a beautiful restaurant sitting on the river bank. We arrived late morning on Saturday and it was packed with customers, they had some kind of themed event going on but we decided to enter from the porch and immediately found an empty bar inside so we grabbed a few stools after being greeted by the bartender. She dropped off a few menus and we ordered drinks - after reading a few reviews from my fellow Yelpers we decided to stick with a cocktail and an appetizer- I asked for a recommendation and she volunteered that the gator is popular but its frozen from a box but the coconut fried shrimp are fresh and hand breaded in house and served with an orange sauce. The margarita was really good and packs a punch even without a floater, the draft beer was cold but served in a plastic cup so drink up, in my opinion this place needs a giant outdoor tiki bar (I may have never left). I definitely made a great choice picking the coconut fried shrimp which I rarely choose, this was an amazing appetizer and a very generous portion of large butterflied shrimp served hot from the kitchen with a citrus orange sauce which was delicious. The service at the bar was really good, the bar tender engaged us in some positive conversation during our entire stay. After leaving the restaurant we checked out the fishing piers and did a little people watching before leaving - it's definitely got some of that "Old Florida Charm" going for it which we love..."
"Visited on Aug 8th. The place looks like Long John Silvers but the food is far better and premises much cleaner. Wasn't expecting much but the quality and taste of all our food was superb! Wife and I had the shrimp nachos plus the grilled fresh fish basket. Great taste and excellent fries! Cilantro lime slaw had a light dressing, wonderful. Also must add that this is the only place where the cashier automatically set the tip to 0% on the pay screen. I tipped them in cash anyway for their service and friendly demeanor. After a table of people left, employees would immediately begin cleaning. Nice!A very pleasant visit!"
"Classic beach bar! Golden Lion is a staple in Flagler Beach. Good food & music (Mostly the music is just evenings, weekends & holidays)They nice rooftop seating, friendly servers, good drinks. In addition to their inside seating they also have covered shaded & open unshaded outside seating. 3 bar seating areas and lots of tables which is great cuz they are usually crowded."
"Great food and service from Kayla tonight - 9/16/24.Large Caesar salad, Mahi fingers, and Cajun Mahi tacos all cooked perfectly!Amazing food and ambiance at River Grille! Thanks, Kayla!"
"Oh my goodness! The food is delicious! Everything I have tried has given me a reason to continue coming here. And the owner is so nice! I love it here!"
"Food was good. And was hot. And didn't take forever 20 minutes tops. Price was ok. Over all better then I expected. Will return again."
"The food here is great and authentic! The presentation of the dishes is done with care and detail. The decor is welcoming, traditional, and lots of paintings by the chef adorn the walls, too!I had a lunch special of the green curry and it was just the best portion and flavor. I had it with the Tofu and was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! Well done with the full flavor, spice, and I look forward to my next visit to try more of the curries!"
"We had a great experience dining here! The place is beautiful inside. I think they also have tables outside. Our server was fantastic! I forgot his name but he reminds me of Aquaman lol, He gave us recommendations and even offered if we wanted another bread while waiting for our meal. My husband got the Slow Braised Boneless Beef Shortribs. They were tender and flavorful! I also liked the Brussels sprouts, whipped potatoes and onions rings that came with it. As for me, I ordered the Cantonese Style Whole Local Snapper. Super crispy, flaky and the mango sauce has the perfect blend of sweet and sour. Delicious! The only downside was I couldn't see the bones as the lighting in the dining area was dark, I suggest to order this during lunch or dinner outside. For dessert, we got the bread pudding and latte to end the night. So good! I would definitely recommend Aqua Grill to my friends when planning our group dinners!"
"Highly highly highly recommend this place! Service is top notch, great drink selection , awesome oysters!! A tad small BUT very fresh and clean Virginia oysters. Didn't hit one of the oyster special nights do they are $2 a pop. We also got the calamari and the crab and shrimp dip. That is awesome!!! Very good amount of fries for the price too! I see another night or two eating here during our week vacation."
"Ordered To-Go for lunch. Giant portions! Ordered online and got there at the expected time. The food was ready and piping hot when I opened it. I'm a soup snob. So I didn't have a high expectation for the soup. But when I tasted the Italian Wedding Ball Soup I let out an audible "oh wow". It is delicious!!! Shrimp was cooked perfectly on the scampi and it was good, what you expect in a scampi. Loads of garlic. The squeeze of lemon they put in container made it pop. The staff were really friendly. Overall to go experience was great."
"While camping at the beautiful Tomoka State Park, we wandered into town for lunch and found this place on a recommendation of a local. It is a comfy little bar but it has a lot of outside seating ON the beach. Perfect. Our server was friendly, fast, kept an eye on us, top notch. We ordered and shared a conch fritter appetizer: 6 good sized fritters with a zippy sauce. Lots of conch. We also shared fish tacos and upped the fish to Mahi. (extra $2- worth it) 2 soft tacos with a big chunk of delicious grilled fish in each..topped with a sauce and avocado. Delicious, a little messy, but who cares? It came with delicious crunchy fries. It was a delightful time and a great meal. Before tip, it was around $32. We were very pleased with the whole experience. When you go, plan on walking the beach....it will be calling you!"
"Went on a Saturday for a birthday dinner (early). It wasn't too packed since we were early. We were a fairly large party, and the server handled all the separate checks easily and pleasantly. It took a bit long to get our first drinks, but they were consistently full from that time on. We sat outside and enjoyed the lovely weather. We ordered steamed oysters as an appetizer. I prefer raw, but most at the table preferred steamed. I thought they were pretty good! For my dinner, I ordered a salmon bowl. It was very good and everything was fresh. My only complaint is the salmon piece was fairly small - but this is where we are at as a restaurant society these days lol. So I guess it's just normal. Over the years they have definitely added some more healthy options. And this is a good one! Someone at the table let me have a hush puppy as well. I really like hush puppies and whiteys is near the top of my list. Someone else at the table ordered the shrimp dinner (grilled) and that was good. I think shrimp is one of the things Whiteys does best! I didn't sample anyone else's plates but everyone at the table felt good about the food, the drinks, and the atmosphere. Whiteys is what a fish camp really should be. There's a reason it's been around so long!"
"Great little seafood place. Had the blackened grouper basket with pimiento cheese grits. Everything was delicious. The service was excellent as well. Just a heads up, though, the place is small. I don't know what an average dinner crowd looks like but I can imagine it gets packed. I was there for lunch and sat down to a booth with no problem. I'd go back if I'm ever in the area again - lots of tempting items on the menu made it hard to decide, but I was happy with I ordered."
"Firebird's Fish Tacos (Crispy) were a delightful surprise on a recent lunch outing celebrating a friend's promotion. The tacos themselves were a perfect blend of crunch and flavor, with each bite feeling like a little fiesta in my mouth. Loved the tasteful blend of the cabbage, charred corn salsa, spicy sriracha and sour cream. The staff was incredibly attentive, making us feel welcomed and well-cared for without being intrusive. The ambiance--an inviting mix of modern and cozy--set the perfect backdrop for our mid-day celebration. Overall, it was a good experience that combined fantastic food, exceptional service, and a warm atmosphere."
"My best friend picked this place at random because we were in the area. We didn't even check the reviews before we went, which normally I wouldn't do, but everything in St Augustine is usually good. What an amazing delight. I can't say enough good things about The Boathouse. The ambiance is adorable the flooring, the wood beams in the ceilings, the fireplace out back, and the water side views. None of that matches up to their menu. They have an extensive menu for everybody, including me, who doesn't eat meat. I did, however, enjoy the gnocchi with pesto and scallops. My friend had the burger. I didn't take a picture of that because, well, I don't eat meat, and I don't like to look at it either, but that's besides the point. Last but not least, our server was the young and beautiful Mary. She was extremely hospitable, warm, friendly, and knowledgeable about all the items we asked about. I really should mention that if you do order the gnocchi, please ask for a container to go because the portion is humongous. I do not use that word lightly. It was served in a giant bowl, and it was amazing . It's going to be even more amazing tomorrow. Also, they will light the fire pit, if it is not already burning. You just have to ask. We will definitely be back!!"
