"Josh at the bar was friendly and efficient. Make sure you have reservations - even if you're going early. Place is super popular! Grilled Seafood Platter very good - Grilled Salmon was excellent! Will be back!"
"Picasso's never misses a beat with their exceptional service and fresh food. The dishes are always unique and amazingly good. The table could not stop talking about how great the shrimp n grits were. I was amazed at how tender and flavorful the NY strip was. Picasso's is always slammed but the experience never wanes. I love the casual vibe especially with such elevated dishes. Picasso's, keep doing what you're doing, this place is def a hidden gem!"

"Dined here by myself when in Jacksonville for work, early October 2024. Food was very good, well above even the best chain names, not quite as good as a top flight restaurant but substantially better than I had expected. It was also reasonably priced. I had a surf and turf plate with a chimichurri strip streak paired with a ginger salmon fillet. Tried several of their wines, all very good, to the point that I bought a bottle to take home. They were very generous in allowing me to taste three or four different wines at no cost - something I find frequently in Montreal and seldom in the US. My server, Donald, was outstanding - friendly, knowledgeable, responsive. Someone who is very good as his job. Host Sam was very friendly and helpful as well. My only ding was that it was pretty loud, but there were a lot of people there, probably 80% capacity, and that was on a Tuesday night. Good for them for having a thriving business!I liked Cooper's Hawk so much that I actually went back again two nights later on Thursday, as it was my first time in Jacksonville and I didn't know the area that well. It was getting late in the evening and options were getting thinner so I didn't want to drive too far. I don't eat fast food, don't like to go to big chain restaurants if I can avoid it, and Cooper's was only about 7 minutes from my hotel. On my second visit, the experience was nearly identical. The service was excellent; prompt, attentive, and friendly. On my second visit, I had a salad (fine but nothing to write home about), a very good cheeseburger that I enjoyed a lot, and a flight of their wines, which were excellent.Overall, I like Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant very much, and would recommend it for a good meal at a reasonable price."
"Really good brunch spot. Was pretty busy, the wait wasn't too long but you can't wait at the bar or anything. Food was good and it was quick! They had live music on the weekend."
"Overall was a good meal. This is a weird review to write bcs there wasn't anything wrong, per se, but I guess it boils down to being overrated? So location is good right on Hypolita in St Aug, but parking is challenging and they do not offer valet. The restaurant felt really cramped based on how the had the tables set up. We also noted that our waitress was too... we couldn't quite figure out the word but we all knew it was too much of something. The food was good but the portions were meager for the money. The true star was the escargot itself. Not necessarily the dish but the actual escargot. Very tender and well prepared. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back."
"Fried chicken AND ramen?! Uhhh, YES, PLEASE. Hangar Bay has become a staple in my family. My parents live closer, so they get to go more than I can, but every visit is better than the last. The food keeps getting better and better. I usually swap between the classic tonkatsu or the Bayou ramen. Now and then, when I'm feeling spicy, I go for the hellfire bowl. The staff is always so friendly and I love looking at the military items along the walls and throughout the restaurant. I highly recommend it!"
"I had made reservations here for a Saturday night. I was not very familiar with the area, but this restaurant came up on OpenTable and we decided to try it out. We were greeted as we walked in to a very busy restaurant. We thought this was going to be great since it was so busy...glad we got reservations! Our waiter Richard was very friendly and very attentive... hence the 2 stars. We ordered the special, which you can see in the photo. Main protein was a 10oz steak and those two crab cakes on top. The presentation of the steak was.... extremely underwhelming, but I decided to try it anyway. I ordered mine medium rare and my wife medium. She cut into hers after a few tries and it was raw on the inside. I cut mine in the middle and mine was slightly under a medium rare, but again I went with it. My wife sends hers back as I get to eating mine... I cut it from the edge only to find out it was... raw? On the edge? Very weird to me, so I ended up cutting around the steak and ever edge was raw. I ended up just not eating mine and my wife's, the second time around was also raw on the outsides... we just didn't eat our steaks and they comped us. What was good was the small crab cakes and the complimentary bread and butter. I look at the other photos of steaks and they have a good crust on them, but ours looked like they were cooked on a medium heat pan... We won't be coming back. But thankfully there's plenty of other options in Avondale."
"This was our 3rd bar stop of the day and it did not disappoint. Our server was amazing and I'm sad I forgot to ask her her name for the kudos. Here we had some martinis, French 75s, and some egg roll apps.. YUM!If you like a dessert in a glass the key lime pie martini was yummy and tasted like some ice cream almost."
"Cute spot! The parking is pretty rough- highly recommend using their free valet parking service. They have live music on Thursday's! No vegan options, but nice selection of drinks/beers. My boyfriend said the brisket sandwich was the best he's had in years!"
"Had a great dinner with family at Salt Life last night. We were a large group and service was great for fresh, excellently prepared meals. My sushi was fantastic and I'm in love with their wasabi. It was a small dollop but packed a punch and had sprinkled white and black sesame seeds coating it. Everyone loved their meal and I was so happy to actually carry on conversations with most of the table. Everyone had fish, shrimp or chicken tenders without any complaints. I couldn't see exactly what others ordered, but you can't go wrong."
"I came here because it showed up in my google maps search for "fresh squeezed orange juice". You wouldn't think that would be hard to find in Florida but you'd be mistaken! Publix doesn't offer it for sale at all, for instance. I got that juice which was very delicious, and got a traditional American bacon and eggs breakfast with a large English muffin. Indeed I visited twice, ordering the same thing both times. I got my bacon well done, which is how I like it but I am sure they don't make it like that for everyone. Anyway they followed my directions to the letter and I was pleased. The second visit, the eggs and hash browns were slightly underdone but I was still happy. I'd go back again. Oh, and the service is as cheerful and as sunny as Florida itself. So you won't regret coming here at all. Great place. Wish I had one near where I live."
"Wow wow wow!!!The experience at Eleven South was 5 stars plus!I made reservations online and arrived early. Without wait, I was seated in the outdoor area which is super cozy and would make a great meeting spot for a date or special occasion (and judging by the many couples that night, locals know and appreciate this already).Superstar waiter Jeremy patiently and passionately explained the menu and specials to me, providing expert guidance and recommendations. He was so friendly and accommodating, it felt like we're friends, which I love because going to a fancy restaurant alone always feels a little awkward.I ordered a drink to start and the Burrata Caprese appetizer. Jeremy made me aware that you can add items to your order and since he spoke so highly of the scallops I decided to add two to the salad. The presentation is beautiful and holy smokes - this must have been the BEST Burrata I've ever had (I'm a cheese lover and had plenty!). It's locally made and so melt-in-your-mouth I enjoyed it all. The scallops were fantastic, tomatoes fresh and ripe, but that cheese stole the show in the best way possible! For my main course, I went with the duck breast which was wonderful. Flavors are layered and complex, allowing all ingredients to shine through thoroughly. For dessert, I went out with a bang (cause why not), and ordered the Aztec Martini (yowza! Delicious!) and the peach cheesecake. Delightful!!!Throughout the evening, Jeremy checked in with me, asking about timing preferences for my courses and if everything was to my liking (clearly, YES!).Overall, an evening to remember and certainly a spot to return to when I'm in Jacksonville the next time."

Amazing food, service and view! We sat at the picnic tables on the dock and the view was spectacular! I had the mahi and grits and my wife had the mahi sandwich with avocado. Both were very good and we can't wait to go back!

Oh Picasso's... A gem, truly a gem. This spot is tucked away into an unsuspecting strip mall in Mandarin just across the Buckman which is a solid 30 minute drive for us, but well worth the trek. Entering the restaurant you're promptly greeted by the host/hostess who will probably apologize that there will be a short wait. (A good sign) No worries, you're seated in the small, but quaint restaurant with large booths to accommodate parties of 6-8 along with freestanding tables. Once you're seated you can read a bit of their background and philosophy; a St. Louis native, plopped down into Jacksonville to share his culinary expertise. You're greeted by STL staples like toasted ravioli, cracker-thin STL style pizza, and gooey butter cake to round things out --tempting for a fellow Saint Louis-an. But, my goodness, the pastas, freshly made in house with care. Premium, fresh ingredients, portions with flexibility to share, though you won't want to. Impressive wine selection to pair. If the quality of your food didn't convince you how much these small business owners care about your experience, maybe chat up the owners themselves who frequently make rounds throughout their establishment to ensure you leave with the most satisfyingly perfect meal in tow. Okay okay, great dinner spot but it's midday and I just need to grab a bite. My friends, grab a Philly cheesesteak for the road or any of there other lovely sandwiches. All-in-all, this place goes above and beyond, is priced exceptionally fairly for the quality/quantity and remains my favorite spot in town for pizza/pasta.

We went with friends for wine tasting followed by dinner. It took a while to be served at the wine tasting bar which was a little frustrating but once we had a space we had a choice of 3 tasting menus. 8 different wines to sample, one sparkling, selection of white and reds, followed lastly by a dessert wine. The delay in the tasting session meant we had to ask for our dinner reservation to be put back but that was no problem for the restaurant team. The food at dinner was exceptional! We chose a wine we'd sampled to accompany our meal. They had run out of the crème brûlée we ordered which was a shame but we were served with a complimentary chocolate dessert instead. Price point was good for the quality of food.

Great place to dine especially after a dreading Helene hurricane. Enjoyed the complimentary bread with basil infused olive oil with garlic. Along with that, we ordered gambas which has a creole New Orleans flavor to it.For the main entree, we ordered the special of the day and the pork chop. Pork chop was perfectly cooked at medium. Polenta and Brussels sprouts were great combination for it.

Great ramen here along with grit puppies, fried biscuits, as well as fried mac & cheese, baked beans and a unique coleslaw. I also love the fish and shrimp. If you've got room very good desserts as well. We live 40 minutes from here or I'd go a lot more often.

The cocktails get a 5/5, but the food brings it down for me unfortunately. We started off super strong - my sister and I came for the Miracle Christmas pop-up and they were able to seat us a little earlier than our reservation which was great! The drink options and the Christmas mugs they came in were so festive and fun. They even had light up Christmas hats for us to wear and take home because we made a reservation. The place was decorated beautifully for Christmas - lights and garland everywhere! My sis got the Chrismopolitan which was delicious and I ordered the yippee ki-yay drink which was so festive, but I liked the classic flavor of her drink a bit better. I will say food and drinks are on the expensive side here. My drink was $19 and I ordered a chicken sandwich with fries which was $20. The chicken sandwich description said "juicy chicken thighs" but it was the driest chicken sandwich I've had in a while, and it didn't help they put the smallest dollop of chipotle mayo on it. I asked for more mayo, but it honestly didn't help. The fries also tasted stale and as if there was no potato in them. Overall we would definitely come back for the creative drink options and friendly service, but probably would eat somewhere else. Drinks & experience get a 5/5 while food gets a 2 from me. But maybe there are other items on their menu that taste better!

"Excellent as always. Pasta/ Eggplant Parm / Collard Greens. Service was top-notch and marinara super flavorful."
"Not a bad word to say. We were on a week long family trip to a couple resorts and this meal is the best we had as far as food, service and ambiance. The attention to detail is what sets them apart from other restaurants. Olga our waitress was personable and made sure our every needs were attended before we even had to ask (especially with our almost two year old daughter there as well). We had the pasta special, a salad, Sole, Beef and souffle. Our favorites were the Wagyu beef with an Asian sauce and the Seafood pasta with the fennel cream sauce. The fennel perfectly balanced out the richness of the seafood and cream. There was also a lobster amuse which I could have eaten 6 of.Again thank you to Olga for making it a special evening for our family."
"I love the Neptune beach southern grounds location. Although it gets busy on weekends, I can always find space to work on my projects. The food is absolutely delicious and there are many dietary options. I love Sogro coffee and sometimes even enjoy drinking it black to enjoy the bold flavor."
"I have nothing at all but the highest remarks when it comes to Matthews. We sat at the chefs table and had an amazing time. It was quite the experience. We watched the food being prepped. The cooks in the kitchen explained several of the dishes to us. We were treated to extra bites (sample tasting). The food was amazing. The portions were perfect for all the courses we received with our order. While this isn't your every night out spot as it is quite $$$. It's definitely a place to come celebrate a special night, spend a pretty penny, but leave happy and satisfied."
"Nice place, good service, good food but I wouldn't go back. Dropped a chunk of $$$ for good."
"Averting the storm, we sailed into Whiskey Jax. I am so glad we did. Bottomless mimosas and bloody Mary Sundays was on the top of our list. Server was attentive but there was not lot to compete with. The bar was full. For a quaint time and a place to get personable with your peeps, Whiskey Jax is spot on."
"A++++++++ very tiny place. Even their bathrooms are tiny. But what they lack in space they make up with TASTE!!!! Ive never had a waffle I havent needed to out syrup on. It was soooo tasty. You MUST have their fruit bowl. Definitely a side to share for 2-3 or even 4 people. I felt like royaltyz my family went on a coffee binge at this place. Compared to all the other breakfast places we went to, this place had perfected the coffee game. The service was spectacular and charming. Ilwe felt like family when we there. I have absolutely no cons.Tip: get there early.....they open at 7am. They have a sign that says not Public restrooms so some people sent some family to use the restroom away from the restaurant. Their name was called and the whole family wasnt there. So they couldnt be seated and had to wait longer. The bathroom sign is for people walking by.....but the worker said that if you are waiting to be seated you can use the restroom. Just keepIn mind its small and right next to tables"
"Really enjoyed the ambience in the outdoor space. Service was prompt and professional and food was amazing. We especially enjoyed the chef's specials of the day. Only negative was the mussels which had a slightly sweeter sauce that wasn't our favorite. But everything over all was very well cooked and flavored!"
"Valentine's Day dinner tonight at Medure was truly exceptional! We dined with our friends visiting from CT, who always love coming here. The very expansive pre-fixed menu assured that everyone had the perfect choice for every course. Our server, Kat was wonderful, always popping in when needed, but never a feeling of being rushed. Among our table we had tenderloin tartare, lobster, burrata as appetizers. The pork belly 2nd course was so tender & delicious, very unique. I loved my sea bass and it was cooked perfectly, but I could not finish it all! Every course was very generous. But the desserts! Red velvet soufflé and chocolate trifle were lovely, but the mascarpone and vanilla mouse was a beautiful treat for Valentines Day. The Manager was so attentive, checking in to make sure we were well taken care of. IMO, Restaurant Medure is the best restaurant in North FL."
"Another wonderful Holiday Market! The former pool area which in the day is a cafe tonight was a market! Lots of cool gifts with a small band playing Christmas songs and wine for a donation. I love seeing repeat customers and meeting new customers!"
"My parents asked me over Christmas break if I wanted to meet them for breakfast, so since I've never been here, I decided to take the leap.My son, niece, and myself met my parents here for breakfast. It's located in a stripmall on 210. Beware, this whole stripmall has a pretty tight (or at least for me) parking lot, so backing out, can be a bit tight. Also, if you're coming from the Beachwalk area, making a right into this plaza (especially in the morning and around the time the high school is starting can take a bit).Once we parked we entered Cafe Genovese. It reminded me of the little mom and pop diners we had in upstate New York. You def get the small town feel, and based on my observations, they had many regulars. Our server quickly came to our table, handed us menus, and asked us for our drink orders. She was chipper and happy to help. I ordered a pretty standard breakfast: scrambled eggs, toast, home fries, and a coffee. My kiddo got scrambled eggs, toast, and a side of bacon, and my niece ordered one pancake. Our drinks were quickly refilled. The other server was quick to see if we needed napkins, both servers were on top of customer needs. Our breakfasts came out quickly. Every tasted good. It's pretty nofrills, but that shouldn't deter you from coming here.If you're looking for reasonable prices, quick and friendly service, this is the place."
"Margie's is just the the kind of place I look for when vacationing. Locally Owned and operated. There always seems to be a little extra in everything they do. A small but very beachy restaurant right across A1A from the ocean. Margie, originally from the Philippines, brings a wonderful work ethic, delightful personality and quite the array of tasty dishes with some Philippine and Caribbean flare, sprinkled with some American favorites. Everything on the menu looked delicious but I was only here once and it was Thursday, Blueberry Pancakes day! So blueberry pancakes it was! Lol. The cakes were thick but very light and fluffy on the inside. Lots of fresh blueberries, some butter and warm syrup with a side of extra crispy bacon and a delicious cup of hot coffee set the tone for a wonderful day! Margie's is at the top of my list for the next time I'm in St Augustine."
"Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. Same as my last visit we were blown away by the food. Menu was huge with all kinds of options. Opted for the fish sandwhich (no bread) and a huge filet came out on the plate! Nacho cheese was reported to be a little different than expected but still good. Service was stellar! Will def come back to try some other menu items!"
"One of the best experience we had from the moment we arrived the welcoming and friendly staff was beautiful. The owner and brewer are there to guide you and help you in your journey of beer selection. I only had and appetizer but the food looks fantastic. New place to have some fun."
"This was my first time at this place. We hoped on our motorcycle and drove to flagger and ended up here!It is two stories, bottom is mostly a bar and the top is a bar/food with live bands! The view from the top floor over looks Flagler Beach which is breath taking! We went to the top floor to listen to the bands and have a few drinks and some food. The drinks were good we just had some beer For our food we orderd one beef and one chicken Baja nachos and they were very yummy. The both came with chips, cheese sauce, lettuce onions the meat of course, sour cream and salsa which is spicy but I love spice! The nachos were good for bar food. Now the reason for the 4 star and not a 5 star is because we also orderd a grilled cheese that, let's just say either sat too long or didn't cook long enough. I ate it anyways cause I was hungry and it didn't taste bad just would of tasted better had it been fresh! Over all experience, I will be back. The staff was amazing"
"The food here is consistent and always fairly decent. I think the prices aren't bad either. The service was friendly and attentive when we visited last and we were seated promptly, despite it being lunchtime on Saturday. The booths aren't the most comfortable, but they're not bad for two people. We enjoyed our pulled pork and smoked chicken with various sides. The cheese grits were pretty tasty and I'd recommend them over the coleslaw I picked as a side dish. I think using new "real" plates (rather than the old blue melamine ones they've got) would go a long way towards improving my impression of this place. It's clear that it's in need of something new or fresh on the inside. That being said, I've never had an issues with the quality or taste of the food."
"Good afternoon all. Today I tried a restaurant called Chowdown Alley for lunch today. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Salad with the homemade Ranch Dressing. I didn't think I would like it but I was very impressed. The staff greet you walking in the door, their always smiling and it looks like they know ever person who comes in by name. Impressive. Now the salad was plentiful and fresh, the chicken was juicy and seasoned well. Now for the homemade Ranch Dressing, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you try it. That dressing is soooooo good. I will definitely be going back again to try the Blackened Chicken Salad and the Chicken Tender Salad. . Definitely a repeater."
"Another enjoyable visit to Wally's. I don't know which is my favorite, the food or Jacob, the owner. I had the Gyro Philly sub which was awesome! Grilled Gyro meat piled generously over grilled mushrooms, onions, peppers and cheese, along side ripe tomatoes. Sone excellent Tabouleh on the side. My grandson had a huge cheeseburger along side thier always hit and crispy well seasoned fries. We took home some delicious crispy and buttery Baklava. Jacob was also the cook today. He is a most awesome and beautifully kind person. He is quick to light up with a warm smile to make you feel welcome and appreciated."
"I love to get the honey barbecue Wally wings. They are consistently good. The best wings on the planet! I always use the take-out service. They bring them right to your car."
"Everyone's heard the verbiage "eat like a local" well I did just that after arriving at Jim's Place. This self proclaimed "New York Pizza in the Country" says it all and was something unexpected, yeah I read the reviews but walking in from the front porch through the antique over-size door was quite the experience. The staff here is focused on customer service and getting the food to the table, so some of the good house keeping practices may take a backseat. Depending on the time of the day you may be seated at a table that hasn't exactly been cleared from the previous customer yet or you can just walk in and pick your spot, we chose to grab a table without asking and it seemed no one had a problem with it. I recommend you come here when there isn't anything pressing in your schedule because this place operates on its own clock and that's just fine with me it's nice to be a little laid back at times - the food is prepared fresh to order so the clock doesn't start ticking until you place your order and that's the focus FIFO (first in first out) so it's relatively easy to know when your orders is coming out of the kitchen if you're paying attention.Pizzas are medium and large or by the slice, and I definitely recommend it - thin crust, delicious sauce, really nice stretchy mozzarella cheese, lots of pepperoni and ground sausage simply delicious no matter the toppings you choose I'm sure. The menu contains lots of options, we also enjoyed a toasted Philly Cheese Steak Sub as well, now that will make you smile too.The staff here is very friendly and as accommodating as possible, the steady flow of customers kept them hopping so practice some patience they are by no means over-staffed here which probably is why their prices are so reasonable. This place is a real diamond in the rough but such a nostalgic experience and no doubt a local favorite..."
"Pretty good drinks and someone from our group forgot their bag on the counter. Someone unfortunately took something out of it BUT when we went back the manager and bartender offered several times to comp us with a couple drinks for a mistake we made. Very friendly staff and a good photo op!"
"Antique and food in a large area. You could make this a date and lunch trip several times over. The staff was friendly and the food hot and fresh. I enjoyed my clam chowder and salmon sandwich. The quiche was tasty too.Next time I will try dessert ."
"Came in around 10:30 am since I saw they open early which was nice. The staff are really friendly and the faculty is very clean and welcoming. I opted for a large build your own bowl. I chose brown rice and greens as my base, salmon and tuna as my protein, with toppings of seaweed salad, shredded carrots, cucumber, edamame, and mango, plus avocado and krab. It was delicious! Really fresh and the flavors were great. The portion sizes were generous as well. Really enjoyed it, glad it's close to my work, definitely will be back again soon!"
