"We celebrated my friend's birthday here over tacos and drinks. Everything tasted great on the surface but can use more seasonings, I had to add extra sauce for flavors; service was prompt and friendly. They checked up on us throughout our entire dining experience. The ambience is warm and inviting. I would definitely recommend this place if you were nearby."
"The food truck is located in the Jax Lanes Bowl parking lot on Beach Boulevard. The employees are awesome and so nice. I ordered the chicharron and cheese pupusas. They are the best that I have ever had. Warm cheesy and huge. Condiments are offered with each order. Don't sleep on this food truck , they are delicious."

"This is our new go to spot! It's small and intimate with beautiful paintings all over the walls! It's family run. Literally dad runs kitchen and makes the drinks and daughters run the tables. So cool. PROS: service- our waitress was hilarious and so sweet and attentive! Best salsa I've ever had! Homemade!! Spicy and sweet! Secret recipe dad makes!!! They sent me home with extra!$2.99 margaritas and long islands for happy hour 4-7 pm. OMG THE BEST MARG IVE EVER HAD! No mixer! Homemade lime mixture. So fresh and so strong!!!!!!Entrees were comparable to other Mexican places, but good! Cons: the meal ended! Such a great experience!!"
"Fantastic little jem! Got some steak fajita tacos and el pasture tacos both had outstanding flavor. They offer a really yummy hot sauce too. Wish I had more room in my belly to try more. Very conveniently placed in the heart of town."
"Both locations are amazing but I always love the alachua location more mainly bc it's so much larger and parking is way easier than at the tioga location. Same amazing food and service as the original- the team members always do their best to make sure it's a friendly clean environment. My go to is always the loaded carne asada fries and the carnitas loaded quesadilla. But literally everything they have is wonderful. They also have a unique selection of local products from stickers and postcards to candles and natural products. Check them out."
"Huge Portions, quality food, great service, and a really cool interior space make this is a win. It was an easy walk from our hotel which was nice. We sat at the bar and had quick and kind service. My chicken was excellent and I loved the salsa."
"We came here to celebrate my Mom's birthday. Since we were a large party, we made reservations ahead of time, and our table was ready when we got there. We arrived by bits and pieces, so our server came over each time to get drink orders. I had the skinny margarita and it was excellent. Once everyone had their drinks, our server disappeared for quite some time, and we finally had to ask someone else if they could take our order.Once the order was placed, food came out quickly. I went with my standard Mexican order of fajitas, trying the chicken since they didn't offer an all shrimp order. The portions were huge, and the fajitas were decent, but actually lacking flavor. We also had to wait for them to bring out the tortillas after everyone had their food. All in all a good experience, although I was disappointed they didn't do anything for my Mom's birthday."
"Came here to eat with my car club and the food was great. Nothing is super complicated here but the prices are chefs kiss. I don't think anyone in my group had a tab over $20. The waitress was super nice and did well with handling our party of 7. Food came out very quickly and the orders were all correct and hot.We sat outside and they had fans blowing while we enjoyed the breeze. The portion sizes are great and it wasn't very busy which gave our group a more intimate vibe. Overall I enjoyed the visit and would come back."
"So, I am giving 5 starts because the fish was seasoned PERFECTLY and cooked PERFECTLY as well. I believe the fish is mahi it was very light but held the flavor very well. The rice was also flavorful and cooked to perfection (not dry) the refried beans were also good as well. The service was great I was greeted with a smile. I got my food quickly. The whole meal cost $17.30 not bad but I think another taco could be in there for that price because you only get a small slice of fish. But overall taste was perfectly the cabbage added a nice crunch/texture difference."
"This is a must stop whenever we are in town! I get the burrito bowl with chicken and it is to die for. This time my sister got the quesadilla and I wish I would have gotten it! I tried a bite of hers and it was so delicious! Service is friendly and fast!"
"I have to admit, La Sabrosa was a place that I have passed by over and over. I had no idea they serve food. And now looking back, I think of how foolish I am for not even checking in to begin with. This is a prime example of not judging the book by its cover.La Sabrosa is a GroceryRant (part Grocery, part Restaurant), serving mainly Hispanic-Latino and Mexican food. And so looking at their menu, I decided to get their 3 tacos deal for $9, opting to get 2 Pupusas and 1 Steak Taco. It took awhile to get my food, because it was made to order. But it was well worth the wait. Folks, the food here is legit; authentic. What may seem small on the outside is big in the inside, big as in Big Taste. I am already planning to come back here to try one of their soups....well...amongst others. Additionally, they have outside seating, as well as a covered patio to accommodate seating.I'll be back."
"My choice for Cinco! I have visited this new restaurant several times and it never disappoints. Wow! They had a full celebration happening in Cinco! Margaritas were flowing, live music and lots of laughter. We were lucky and scored to seats at the bar. Spicy Margarita was delicious, house made guacamole is delicious. They have a house made green hot sauce that is so good.If you haven't been to La Costa give them a try."

This place is my new go to for Mexican in Jax. The guacamole tasted amazing. I also had one chorizo taco authentic style that was bursting with flavor. For my drink I had the blood Orange margarita and it wasn't salty which is a fantastic thing and rare to find a good margarita that isn't pored with tons of sour mix. I loved my margarita. I ended up eating the fajita quesadilla which was amazing! I had it with steak that was cooked perfectly. The entree came with rice and beans. Definitely coming here again.

First I went here was in 2022. Parking was a little difficult to find, being that it's a shared parking lot. In after a few minutes I was able to find a parking space. The food choices here are excellent. I recall having their salsa and I did like it that particular day because it was a little watery. But, the chips were very good. I decided to order a carne asada dish. The steak was flavor and tender as well. I really like those grilled onions that came with it. The dush included yellow rice, which was fresh and flavorful also. I really love their refried beans. They flavorful and creamy and topped with cheese. It comes with a very tiny salad as well. I also decided to have corn tortillas. They too were served hot and fresh. The service here is always good. The ambiance of this restaurant is regular. I will return here again soon. I just remembered there's another location on Baymeadows Road, which I haven't tried yet.

My family and I went in for the first time today for lunch! I got the fajita bowl, my husband got the taco and quesadilla plate, and my daughter got a kids burrito plate! All the portions were very generous, including the kids plate, which looked like an adult serving. Everybody enjoyed their food, it was delicious. The service was excellent. The restaurant looked very clean, and the music was fun. We will definitely be back.

"I was a bit dubious about my family raving about this Mexican restaurant in a town where chain restaurants seem to be king. Located in sleepy downtown Palatka, Mariachiles has its own private lot but also there is plenty of nearby free street parking. I was pretty impressed by its vegetarian section on the menu and opted to get two veggie soft tacos. They were piled with roasted corn, spinach, black beans and avocado. Nicely grilled and seasoned on flour tortillas, two of them made a perfect dinner. Nice warm chips came complimentary along with flavorful salsa. The interior is larger than it looks from the front and goes back quite a way. Lots of booths, regular tables and a bar area. My family lives locally and said they also go there when the restaurant hosts trivia nights.Nice staff and quick service, I was pretty impressed with the food quality and flavor."
"The server was great, very friendly, and attentive on a pretty busy night. The food was good. The wait was not long to get us seated. The waiter gave us the house hot sauce we didn't know about, and boy, that will light your mouth up. If you like super spice, ask for the house hot sauce!"
"Nice spot to try in downtown High Springs. No surprises, just good, honest Americanized Mex standards. Live music on the patio, but it was HOT, so we ate inside. Super fast service, VERY reasonable prices, and nice decor. My chile relleno dish was great, and did NOT include mashed potatoes, which was weirdly stated on the menu. A great variety of drinks (mmmmmm Sangria!!) satisfying fresh chips and salsa, and all the standards. EXCELENTE choice if you're in the area!!"
"Well we have eaten here a long time ago and thought the food was pretty good.. we went there and was busy. Our waitress seemed to be bothered at times, like we were a bother. Their salsa is very good, though. I Never got a refill on my water, even asked when she brought my wife her soda refill. Food had a bland taste to it. I threw some of the salsa on my chicken soft tacos and added some flavor. Rice and the beans were actually burnt and crispy, probably under a heat lamp too long. So wasn't too happy with lunch."
"We sat outside because we had our puppy. When the waitress brought our drinks she also brought him some water. The queso is delicious as well as the nachos, nacho burrito, and California burrito. The spinach dip is also very plenty full"
"Great meal and great service. Food comes out extremely quickly. Order was correct, and food tasted fantastic!"
"Quick, cheap, and most importantly delicious. Taco Charro delivers the food that you expect to get from a food truck. The food taste authentic, natural, and is easy to pick up and go. I usually grab three to four tacos when I stop by. The steak and chorizo tacos are my favorite and I try to ask for a grilled Jalapeño on the side for some serious heat. The tacos are about $2 each and they pack them full of meat, so you are basically getting two tacos for the price of one. Other places give out chips with there meals, but I can honestly say that I don't even need them with the quality of food I get from Taco Charro. They also offer glass bottle drinks which is nice. It might be a little intimidating getting out of your car at night to grab food from a truck, but trust me it is worth it. There is usually a couple people ordering anyways so it's not like a secluded Friday the 13th type situation. If food trucks can continue this quality I will be sure to make an effort to try more."
"This place can knock it out of park one day and then strike out the next. The inconsistency just makes it hard to give them anything more than 3 stars. Today was a disappointing visit as the waiter seemed irritated that we came to dine. We arrived at 7:25 on a Sunday and they close at 9:00 so plenty of time. The food was just ok today and maybe the waiter affected that for me. He just made very little effort to make us feel welcome, didn't inquire about options that he should have, didn't ask us if we wanted more chips and salsa, etc. etc. you get the picture. Armando, do better. While we will probably return hoping for one of the better experiences, we won't be rushing back."
"Food truck night at our community, I was am to order our dinner through the Food Truck Pub app and select our time for pick up. Staff is friendly and food was ready on time for my scheduled picked up time. We ordered La Prima fries, chips and guacamole, (3)carne tacos, and (2)carnitas tacos; order was a little over $35 a little pricey for Mexican food. The guacamole was my favorite, very fresh and came with plenty of chips. My daughter's fries were cold, this was a bit disappointing but she said they were still good. The beans were a little salty and carnitas tacos needed salsa for a bit more flavor in my opinion. Definitely worth a visit!"
"What a wonderful experience, this is a beautifully decorated Mexican restaurant. Our server, Carial was. Rey sweet and helpful with suggestions and explaining some of the items on the menu.We started off with chips and salsa it was so good then on to the Roasted Cheese Jalapeños, they were very flavorful with goat cheese and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar I think on the top. The Birria Tacos were amazing the meat was so good I didn't even want to eat it as a taco. They were topped with chopped onions and cilantro which added a taste. The final topper was the most delicious flan that I have ever had. This was such a great dinner, everything was beyond delicious!"
"This is one of those places that'll you never hear about on social media. The term, "hidden gem" doesn't even begin to crack the surface here for Tortilleria Azcatl. Located in a desolate parking lot is more Jacksonville taco nirvana.First and foremost, you'll discover a DIY condiment bar with all the cilantro, pico de gallo, radishes, and salsa verdes your little heart desires. If you're expecting fine dining, go somewhere else. You order from a truck, and sit underneath a covered tented area with a handful of tables and chairs. Asada, Pastor, Pollo. They were out of Chorizo the freezing cold night we went. All tacos are $3 and all of the ones I tried were great. I loaded on bucketfuls of cilantro, diced white onion, and even though not pictured, salsa verde. In my opinion, the tortillas were the star of the show. I would eat them on their own with no sauce. C'mon now, tortilla heaven! Meat was very delicious too, however, not my favorite in town, and the Asada was just a bit over done. That's me nitpicking though. If you know, you know. If you don't know, now you know. Definitely worth the trek for the seasoned taco expert!"
"I guess my review was so long ago, I don't see it anymore. I love this place. I usually come on Wednesday night for the El Pancho menu AYCE FOR $10.99! It starts at 5pm and you have to ask for the special menu. Margarita's-perfect! My favorite is strawberry and mango frozen one. Favorite Waiters: Nadia and Augustine. Bit are good."
"BURRITO FAMOUS is such a hidden gem. Been meaning to try this place for a while and it's so good. I got a build you own burrito and it was fantastic. Definitely going back there again!"
"Loved love love the Taco Way.My wife is out of town, my kids, and I like to try new spots and we had pegged this location for a few weeks now. They only been open a couple of months, but if their food stays this good, they'll be there for a very long time. The chef had worked in Miami for a number of years, and the family is from the Middle East. So why does the family from the Middle East open a Mexican restaurant? Well, they actually have taken Middle Eastern spices and Mexican cuisine, emerge them together. The result is a party of flavors in your mouth .Parking is convenient, services stellar, and the ambience was diner, but the dining room is very clean. But you wanna know about the food?Mexican Street Corn - I love Mexican Street corn however this dish very too far away from the Mexican style for me. And while I love, corn, and I thought this dish was good. It was not a dish that I loved.Taco Bell - now this was something special, large portions, perfectly grilled chicken, along with all the fixings. Perfect for my daughter who is dairy gluten-free. GET THIS DISH.Wet burrito - this is my sons go to any Mexican restaurant we go to and he loved his burrito. He's a big eater, but he only could eat half of the food that we brought out. So remember big portions.Shrimp tacos - this was my dish, and I thought it was fabulous. I worried that the spicy mayo would overwhelm me as I am not a big spice person. But I shouldn't have worried because it was absolutely fabulous and the chef came out and told me they make it in the house. We happen to come on a day, after their AC had gone out. It was not uncomfortable inside, but I know they were frustrated because of the weather that took it out. But like I said, we didn't mind, we were not uncomfortable, we enjoyed the food, and we absolutely love talking to the family about their concept, their plans, and how they came up with the idea to merge the two cultures into one flavor."
".Friday night Margaritas 2 for 8$. (Get a to-go cup) you're going to take one for the road. The drink itself was fabulous and well balanced with sweet ripe fruit on the bottom. The meals were tasty, Arroz Con Pollo, grilled chicken on top of yellow cheesy rice and a side salad with sour cream and guacamole. (Adding guacamole was my doing) eat it as it is on the plate or ask for tortillas and wrap it all up...either way, your sure to enjoy. My friend had the the steak and shrimp fajitas (beautiful display) and it came out smoking. Overall, Salsa was the end of a great evening. Friends, food, fun--Friday"
"This taco truck was super busy one day while we were driving by so we decided to stop by today. It is in a shell station, but don't let that fool you. The customer service was great, we spoke broken Spanish and the staff spoke English well enough for us to get our order in correctly. We ordered tacos. The tortillas were perfect, the meats were seasoned great (carnitas & chicken) and the toppings were generous. They have a few salsas you can try depending on your spice sensitivity level. They offer their food to go or they have 2-3 picnic tables right outside the food truck where you can eat. Overall, we will be coming back!!! 8/10"
"Solid Mexican place. LARGE MENU. Everything tasted fresh and on point! If you like hot salsa then try theirs. It's a roasted habanero flavor with a kick for sure. Service was fairly quick and the restaurant was clean and up to date."
"I am in town at Marriott in Orange Park. Went over for a late afternoon meal. Ordered the Asada Burrito and it was amazing! Absolutely perfect! Could eat there three times a day. Great job!"
"Shoutout to our local community heroes! We loved the fact that the local patrons enjoy this venue! Happy faces and yummy food always make me feel better when I try a new restaurant. I was looking forward to trying their menu! My favorites were all available and of course I knew I had to control myself and not order too much. We enjoyed the salsa and chips and the extra sauces to personalize to our tastes. We had ordered queso and chorizo which was piping hot and rich and savory. We had a crunchy chicharones piled up with all the veggies like fresh avocado and I think it also had squid on it. So very refreshing and delicious! Hit my cravings! I ordered Caldo de res which had a large amount of tender beef, big pieces of veggies and savory broth! It was served with hot tortillas and Mexican rice! Yummmm! Hubby had the birria ramen which he said was very rich and easy to eat! I dipped one of my tortillas into the birria consommé and it was legit!! Friendly and attentive service and a comfortable neighborly setting. I can't wait to eat here again and try more delicious delicacies! Flavors are on point !"
"Small market with an emphasis on Mexican and South American food staples. They also have a menu board that has eclectic offerings such as smoothies next to tacos. I was here more for the market, but one day I will try the food here. The staff here were friendly and overall, it was a pleasant market to spend a bit of time in."
"My family brought me here for my birthday. The place is small and part of the Avenues mall. Now, I wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. They had live entertainment and the service was pretty good. Now- the food was excellent. The portions were huge but we always like to take food home since we don't eat out a lot anymore. So, we did order quite a bit. Check out the pics to see. They had the best rice and beans! Also, their chips and salsa are the best in town. I also really like their Coctel de Camarones. It was refreshing with it being served in a large cup mixed with tomatoes, onions and cilantro. It also had a lime and orange wedge. On the side of the shrimp cocktail were two tortillas and some crackers. I ordered the Plato fiesta and it too had shrimp in a spicy sauce with a slice of chicken breast and steak. I liked the shrimp cocktail the best."
"Whit is the MAN. He is SMECKSY and fun and the best bartender, if you don't give him all your money you are just silly."
"We go to La Napolera about 4-5 times a month and there is a good reason for that. The food is fantastic and the prices are very reasonable. There is always enough food that you have leftovers to take home. It's always just as good the next day as well.Another thing that we love about La Napolera is there tomatoes. They are always perfectly ripened and taste amazing. Everyone that works there is always so nice and they remember you. If you want good food and a great atmosphere this is the place to go."
