"This place is a solid option when dining in St Augustine. It was a busy Saturday in the city and we were quickly taken to a table on the heated patio. Our drinks weee good. I had a mezcalaruta. Good flavor and fresh ingredients. For dinner I had the barbacoa which was lamb based. It was adequate. The meat tasted tough but the plantains were excellent. Our service was slow but it was a nice night. We were between music sets. It seems they need to improve the time between acts. Would be nice to hear music at 5:30."
"So, I am giving 5 starts because the fish was seasoned PERFECTLY and cooked PERFECTLY as well. I believe the fish is mahi it was very light but held the flavor very well. The rice was also flavorful and cooked to perfection (not dry) the refried beans were also good as well. The service was great I was greeted with a smile. I got my food quickly. The whole meal cost $17.30 not bad but I think another taco could be in there for that price because you only get a small slice of fish. But overall taste was perfectly the cabbage added a nice crunch/texture difference."

"Really Enjoyed this location. A few parking spaces & a nice shady place to eat.Loved my chicken UFO & the Baja sauce on the side is the perfect dipping touch. Definitely recommend. Oh & add the lime ;) Service was friendly & quick enough. Vibes are 10/10"
"I had this taco about two years ago in St Augustine when me and my now husband first visited and I couldn't stop thinking about it. It didn't disappoint this time either. The tacos are so fresh and cooked to order. They are like double decker so a hard and soft shell. The drink options are amazing and so is the decor in the establishment. I love the vibes and the amount of flavor and protein/filling in the tacos leaves nothing behind. The free chips in the bottom of the bag were astounding as well! Service was great, good food we will definitely be back and hopefully sooner this time! Also bonus its pet friendly!"
"Service and ambiance is fine. The food seems a bit Mexican. It was ok. We may need to give it another try. Oh and the menu sometimes doesn't list all the ingredients in a dish so my friend was picking something out of his meal. That's a peeve of mine I tend to ask "no chunky tomatoes, mayo or capers?" Depends on where I am eating"
"It's been a while since our last visit here. It was definitely better than most. The food was good and full of flavor. I ordered the Carne Asada and a Taco Salad w/ ground beef. Both were very good. They had live entertainment which was Very loud but entertaining. People were out there dancing and having a great time. The service was Jimmy John's fast. LOL. Everything came out really fast and hot. The chips and salsa were good. We enjoyed the whole dinner. I recommend."
"We used to be big fans, then they started to decline. I believe they went thru an ownership change during that decline and we found ourselves removing Margaritas from our regular rotation. We decide to give them another try tonight and so glad we did. While it was late for dinner and the place was almost empty, service was spot on. Chips and salsa were solid as was the cheese dip we ordered. I opted for the chimichanga poblana and it came out hot, fresh, and perfect. My wife's steak burrito was huge which always ends up as lunch the next day. It looks like Margaritas is BACK!I believe they have gone thru another ownership change, but 100% sure. The interior has added booths from when we last visited so it's definitely been a while. We will be adding them back into our rotation for sure."
"I met up for an alumni chapter meeting at Tequila's Mexican restaurant. This was my first time. I enjoy the chips and salsa as well as the queso my friend ordered while we waited for dinner. Which did take a while to come out. I ordered two specialty tacos, shrimp with avocado and chicken and mushroom. Both were yummy! But my favorite was the shrimp with avocado, so much flavor! I also ordered the tres leches which was okay. I probably wouldn't order it again. When I checked in on Yelp I was offered a free tequila shot. I asked the server about it and he said he would get back to me. The manager explained they didn't offer/make the premade batch of tequila shots until the weekend. But he came to the table and offered all of us a tequila shot which he did with us. Very nice touch!I'll be back to explore more of the menu!"
"This particular Mexican restaurant is located in the same shopping plaza as the Winn-Dixie supermarket and was a decent enough spit to grab lunch.A client and I headed here for lunch. We got there just before one o'clock in the afternoon, so it appeared that we probably just missed the lunch crowd. Our server was extremely professional, outgoing, and friendly. Since birria was on the menu, we both went with birria dishes. My client had the birria quesadilla and I had a birria burrito.I will say, at least how it looked, my client got the better of our meals. The birria quesadillas looked amazing. Don't get me wrong, my birria burrito was definitely good, but that birria quesadills looked incredible. If you find yourself on the southside of Jacksonville, Florida and craving a Mexican meal, I would definitely recommend here."
"We had a great time here! came to celebrate my babies Birthday, I had called before hand to let them know we were coming in heavy with about 20 people, when we got there our server was AWESOME! He had no problem keeping up with our big party and made her birthday even more special with singing their hearts out! Lol! Now to the food, it was delicious! No complaints, Got a bunch of Appitizers to share, quesadillas, nachos, flautas the stand out for me was the Carne Asada fries, holy yummy!! I will definitely get these next time I go back! :)"
"If you're looking for an authentic, family operated Mexican restaurant look no further than Los Loros. My friends and I stopped in for dinner post FL-GA tailgating and I am extremely happy we did. We were immediately greeted by the host who sat us in a clean booth. The menu here is like Cheesecake Factory - extensive with numerous options for everyone and also super affordable. They serve you a basket of complimentary chip and salsa, which is fresh and tasty. The salsa has a little kick but still is very good. I was in the mood for some tacos and Los Loros has a vast amount of options. I ordered the carne asada, lengua (beef tongue), and chicken. They all come with cilantro and white onions and hot sauce which I opted for on the side. The tacos were fresh and large in portion. I tried the lengua first - and whoa! So tender, very well seasoned, and heavenly. If you have never tried it - definitely do not knock it, this was my favorite of the 3 tacos. The closest thing I can say the texture is comparable to is roast beef. I was stuffed after eating just this taco alone. The second taco, the carne asada was very juicy and also very flavorful. The chicken taco was good as well but because it was chargrilled pretty long it almost more saltier in taste in comparison to the other tacos. However, with the fresh lime and hot sauce it easily balanced the chicken taco. In all, I spent a little under than $13 - which is amazing. If you're craving Mexican, make Los Loros a place to visit!"
"What a wonderful experience, this is a beautifully decorated Mexican restaurant. Our server, Carial was. Rey sweet and helpful with suggestions and explaining some of the items on the menu.We started off with chips and salsa it was so good then on to the Roasted Cheese Jalapeños, they were very flavorful with goat cheese and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar I think on the top. The Birria Tacos were amazing the meat was so good I didn't even want to eat it as a taco. They were topped with chopped onions and cilantro which added a taste. The final topper was the most delicious flan that I have ever had. This was such a great dinner, everything was beyond delicious!"

Election Day 2024!Stopped by for a lite bite instead of a big lunch, so we ordered Ceviche. I had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc while my wife had to settle for a seltzer since she was on meds.Have to say, I can't complain, the Ceviche (with chips) was very good, as was the wine and the service. I'd be happy to stop in again anytime.

The food is good. Coming from the West Coast means it's hard to blow my mind. I'd definitely say 8 out of 10 for the area. Restaurant style is counter service (not my fav) but everyone was very nice and pleasant. Ambience is very fun and upbeat. This is definitely a place you need to try if you're in Daytona.

It's a simple food stand. There's a line at lunch, so you know it's good. There are many options. I ordered the burrito bowl with mahi and the works with no onion. I got a really nice size bowl with plenty of well seasoned fish, lettuce, salsa, cheese, sour cream, rice and beans. It was delicious! I did take it to go. Great place for lunch

On a leisurely Sunday morning, the quest for breakfast led us to Mojo's Tacos, and the notion of tacos for breakfast sounded enticing.Upon entering the restaurant, the cool ambiance of Mojo's Tacos immediately captivated us, seamlessly blending with the charming vibe of St. Augustine.Navigating straight to the register to place our order, we perused the menu and settled on the intriguing choices of "What up Sun" and Shrimp Tacos. The service proved efficient, and in no time, our eagerly awaited tacos made their way to our table. Each bite revealed a symphony of flavors--delicious, tasteful, with both chicken and shrimp expertly cooked and infused with just the right spices. Mojo's Tacos delivered a delightful Sunday morning experience, leaving us with a newfound appreciation for tacos at the breakfast table.

3.5-4 stars with a star given for service/ambiance. Quaint little cafe tucked away on a residential street near US 1. We loved the look of this location of back 40. Super nostalgic with a 50s diner feel. Plenty of parking and covered outside patio in back. Helpful and friendly service as well.On to the food. I had the poke bowl, my husband had the island bowl and our son had steak tacos. You can tell everything is very fresh. Huge portions so very good prices for what you get. My bowl was flavorful with the only big downside being the use of regular rice. A poke bowl should use sticky rice. There was also too much of it. Replace some rice with more greens is my suggestion. The island bowl was ok, somewhat bland according to my husband so not something he'd come back for. Steak tacos were delicious my son said. So all in all a fine place to stop for a meal but nothing to write home about.

Huge place, conveniently located by the hotel we were staying and across from Daytona International Speedway. It was better than expected, some reviews concerned me, and after eating there I do not agree. Service was excellent. I forgot to ask our server his name, my bad. He was attentive, made recommendations, and was patient. My husband and I shared: - The Al Pastor wraps were good. Fresh lettuce, I would have preferred the Al pastor to be chopped smaller and with more flavor, a little spice as well. - Puebla Enchiladas. Was a very good dish, with chicken, spinach, and poblano cheese, and was served with cilantro rice and black beans which we prefer. - They did not have the Dulce de leche dessert so I settled for the Tres Leches. That was a mistake, it was not good. My husband described it as "a hostess tres leches" (stale pound cake covered with sugary stuff) yikes! My drink, a Smoked Ancho Old Fashioned, was interesting and good. Very smokie and tasty. Unfortunately, they served it with maraschino cherries instead of Burgundy cherries. That lowers the quality of a drink Overall we were pleased with our experience

I really hate to rate low, however there was more bad aspects to my visit than good. We visited on Thursday night (5-6) and it had a few tables busy. We waited a long time to get our meal, they were out of what we ordered and the food we did get was okay, but not worthy of a to go box. Very colorful ambiance. With the amount of availability in Jacksonville, we personally won't be back. We went with people that go frequently and they mentioned it wasn't normally like this. Hopefully they just had an off night.

Stopped in for lunch today. Our server cheyanne was very attentive and on top of everything! She answered all of our questions and was very patient with all of my foodie needs. It was a pleasant first experience and I can't wait to go again! I just may become a regular of Cheyanne's! The food and drinks were top notch! Cheers!

"Tried this restaurant per recommendation from coworkers and foods were superb and served hot, which I loved. What makes this place even better is the friendliness and attentiveness of the servers who were always checking on you even without you having to ask for things. I know I definitely missed out on this hidden gem place but will definitely come back for more!"
"I was on my way to Lake City to see a friend, so I decided to stop by near Gainesville for some nice food. Las margaritas was one of my choices, as well as another restaurant nearby. I drove too far for the other restaurant and found this one, so I decided to try it. I was quite happy that I did. When I arrived on a Friday night , there was a crowd and a host told me the wait was about 20 minutes unless I wanted to eat outside. I was ok with the wait, and 20 minutes later, I was seated near the bar area. I asked my server for drink suggestions, and he informed me that most margarita drinks they had are the same amount of strong ness, so I decided to try the Jose cuervo margarita (8 dollars). I honestly thought it would be water downed and weak with its low price, but it was surprisingly quite strong and tasty. I was quite buzzed after enjoying it. Even though my server wasn't a fan of scallops, I decided to try the scallop quesadilla (14 dollars). It was a nice portion with ample grilled bay scallops (the small ones) in a light sauce. There was fresh pico de gallo on the side with sour cream and guacamole. It was delicious without being too filling. For dessert, I tried the sopapilla (3.5 dollars). It was a crispy flat tortilla chip with powdered sugar and cinnamon, with a bit of whipped cream. It felt like a flat churo. Nothing exciting, but still decent.Service was fine, but felt nonchalant and forced. My server was friendly and helpful, but it felt like he was rushing to get things done and ready to head back to his casa. The front desk was friendlier. The atmosphere looked casual and fun. Even though I was seated a bit away from it, the fountain at the center of the main dining area was a nice touch. The bar was further to the right side. Outdoor seating was available and had a smaller fountain as well. The waiting area has ample seating and I did enjoy the plastic horse/burro near there. The cowboy in me had to take a photo of me sitting on it, and the staff were very nice to oblige. May I suggest that you also be a kid at heart and get on the horse as well. Las margaritas is a nice Mexican restaurant in the Gainesville area. The food is decent and reasonably priced, the margaritas are a bit stronger than expected, the service is fine, and the atmosphere is fun. There was ample parking available as well. I would visit again for good Mexican food in a fun atmosphere at Gainesville."
"Tacos! Tacos! Tacos! That's what I was craving for and I ordered the asada tacos plate. The big plate was satisfying with a generous scoop of guacamole. The door attendant welcomes you and helps you with your seating arrangement, at the bar or booth. Great Mexican vibe which I like and service is quick."
"If you like Taqueria Cinco, Keg and Coin and Lola's, you'll love Tepeyolot Cerveceria. This place features what's best in all of these. The freshness and flavor of Taqueria Cinco, the fun of Keg and Coin, and the portions of Lola's. Add to that a fantastic selection of IPAs made in house as well. It's a great, casual, fun vibe. Exposed ceilings, unique lighting, art and vibrant bursts of color surround the tables. It's a grown-up playground with your favorite Mexican food. You order and it's brought to your table. The staff was extremely friendly and informative to us as first time visitors. We'll be back as they have great Happy Hour food and drink deals along with Pop-up "Mercado" every third Saturday. Not only do they have pinball, but the best machines including Black Knight. $1/game, 3 games for $2. You can also play shuffleboard, darts or foosball. It's a blast. Large TVs surround the bar area and it seemed like an ideal place to watch a game. My wife ordered a Whiskey Rita. It was refreshing and unique. A perfect accent to Mexican food. We split chicken nachos with their guacamole and an authentic steak quesadilla with their queso and spicy salsa. Everything was delicious. The guacamole extremely fresh. The steak and chicken seasoned really well and their queso was just special. The best queso I've had. The queso was unlike any I've had before. Perfect texture, fresh as well and flavorful. The spicy salsa was very unique. Pasty, spicy at first, tasty, then after about 30 seconds, it smacks you in the back of your throat. The chips were good as well. They use paprika on them. It's a bit different in that regard, but tasty. I highly recommend this place. I know we'll be back soon."
"We came here to celebrate my Mom's birthday. Since we were a large party, we made reservations ahead of time, and our table was ready when we got there. We arrived by bits and pieces, so our server came over each time to get drink orders. I had the skinny margarita and it was excellent. Once everyone had their drinks, our server disappeared for quite some time, and we finally had to ask someone else if they could take our order.Once the order was placed, food came out quickly. I went with my standard Mexican order of fajitas, trying the chicken since they didn't offer an all shrimp order. The portions were huge, and the fajitas were decent, but actually lacking flavor. We also had to wait for them to bring out the tortillas after everyone had their food. All in all a good experience, although I was disappointed they didn't do anything for my Mom's birthday."
"Shoutout to our local community heroes! We loved the fact that the local patrons enjoy this venue! Happy faces and yummy food always make me feel better when I try a new restaurant. I was looking forward to trying their menu! My favorites were all available and of course I knew I had to control myself and not order too much. We enjoyed the salsa and chips and the extra sauces to personalize to our tastes. We had ordered queso and chorizo which was piping hot and rich and savory. We had a crunchy chicharones piled up with all the veggies like fresh avocado and I think it also had squid on it. So very refreshing and delicious! Hit my cravings! I ordered Caldo de res which had a large amount of tender beef, big pieces of veggies and savory broth! It was served with hot tortillas and Mexican rice! Yummmm! Hubby had the birria ramen which he said was very rich and easy to eat! I dipped one of my tortillas into the birria consommé and it was legit!! Friendly and attentive service and a comfortable neighborly setting. I can't wait to eat here again and try more delicious delicacies! Flavors are on point !"
"If you want authentic, this place is it. I can't believe I've never been here before, and I cannot wait to try more things on the menu. On top of that, the prices were great - especially compared to some local chains. Then after you eat, ensure you stroll around the store! There's a meat / butcher shop in the back and a huge pastry and bakery section."
"As I was approaching Jacksonville, I reached out to my friend and suggested we meet up for drinks or coffee or even tacos. He suggested La Nopalera as it was close to I-95 as I'm heading north. They have a decent sized parking lot and at 12:00 on a Saturday, I had no problem fitting the Sprinter van into a good space.Inside, seated at a booth with a view of the door and then my chips and salsa arrived. A firm salsa and the chips were warm and salted nicely. Yay!Tacos for lunch, I chose the platter of street tacos with a variety of proteins. They arrived about 10 minutes later, hot and fresh and topped with the expected cilantro and chopped onions. The soft corn shells did collapse a bit as I ate them but the flavor was there and they were delicious.Friendly service as we spent a good two hours talking and drinking entirely too much Diet Coke this afternoon.[Review 20288 overall - 1790 in Florida - 1265 of 2023.]"
"Huge Portions, quality food, great service, and a really cool interior space make this is a win. It was an easy walk from our hotel which was nice. We sat at the bar and had quick and kind service. My chicken was excellent and I loved the salsa."
"This is our new go to spot! It's small and intimate with beautiful paintings all over the walls! It's family run. Literally dad runs kitchen and makes the drinks and daughters run the tables. So cool. PROS: service- our waitress was hilarious and so sweet and attentive! Best salsa I've ever had! Homemade!! Spicy and sweet! Secret recipe dad makes!!! They sent me home with extra!$2.99 margaritas and long islands for happy hour 4-7 pm. OMG THE BEST MARG IVE EVER HAD! No mixer! Homemade lime mixture. So fresh and so strong!!!!!!Entrees were comparable to other Mexican places, but good! Cons: the meal ended! Such a great experience!!"
"Started with queso blanko it was yummy. Margaritas excellent. Food could have been warmer. Wife had chicken fajitas and it needed more time on the grill. They precook the onions and green peppers and reheat and/or grill them when ordered- just needed more grill time to finish them up. Same with my chicken taco just needed more heating. So a solid 4. Kitchen needs a little more instructions."
"We stopped in around 4 o'clock in the afternoon to have a late lunch set on the outside patio with our dog. We ordered avocado eggrolls, pork belly appetizer, as well as the riblets. Everything was absolutely delicious. The outdoor patio was spacious and secluded. Our server was fantastic. She brought everything right on time kept us moving, and was very pleasant to deal with.Priced right and very enjoyable due, of course come here for a fabulous dining experience Plenty of parking"
"Very nice servers/staff. Great food and margaritas! We went on a weeknight and it was a great place to relax and catch up during dinnertime."
"I guess my review was so long ago, I don't see it anymore. I love this place. I usually come on Wednesday night for the El Pancho menu AYCE FOR $10.99! It starts at 5pm and you have to ask for the special menu. Margarita's-perfect! My favorite is strawberry and mango frozen one. Favorite Waiters: Nadia and Augustine. Bit are good."
"Great meal and great service. Food comes out extremely quickly. Order was correct, and food tasted fantastic!"
"craving Mexican for so long and Salsas did not disappoint!I went for lunch and they have very affordable Monday through Friday lunch specials! I choose something off the special menu which was a shrimp burrito! it had onions, peppers and this yummy crème sauce. A wonderful rice and a little salad with guacamole. it was all huge and I took most home! The chips and salsa on the table where great as well!ohhhhhh and if you are in a rush this will be great! I think my meal was out in 5 minutes and fresh and hot!!!"
"Located in Gainsville Fl and serving delicious food since 1989 . Very cute restaurant with reasonable food prices and tasty food .Wanted to take out my friends for dinner and even had desert and it was under one hundred for four of us . The service was excellent too.Parking is right up front ."
"Last night's dinner I willsay it was good. We had a waiter who though knew his job was very quiet man a few words. The iced tea was a little more in the watery side. The burrito looked great and was huge. I had the grilled chicken which was not bad. It did not have the Mexican seasonings that I was hoping for and the avocado side salad was very sparse with avocado and didn't have any tomatoes in it. It was just lettuce with a little bit of avocado overall, it was OK."
"The food was decent and you get ALOT to eat for the price, but I was very thrown off by the terrible, nasty smell in the restroom near the kitchen. The chips were sub par, however......if you like spicy, ask for their jalapeño salsa and you're in for a kick! I wish they had a small bites menu (similar to the lunch menu) that was always available because the portions were so large. The service was pretty good when the food was brought out. There was only a slight issue with languages, but we all managed perfectly. I would have liked to try a frozen margarita, but they use a premade sour mix that is too strong and they were $9.99 for one (not sure of the size).Compared to the other locations, this one is the best. If it weren't for the sour water, sulfur smell in the restroom and lack of ambiance, I would give them four stars. We probably will not be back, but for the price, the food was substantial and tasted fine."
"Great staff and great food! The place is clean and bustling with happy customers. I was surprised how busy they were on a Tuesday at 5pm. We were a party of 5 and our waiter handled us like a pro - friendly and efficient. Between all of us, our orders came out timely and piping hot. My order of Shrimp Fajitas was absolutely delicious and I could tell everyone enjoyed their meals by the empty plates later. Love the atmosphere and excellently prepared dishes. Can't wait to return!"
"This place is a hidden gem! My husband and I have passed it a bunch of times and finally stopped and we are so glad we did. The food is delicious, the drinks are absolutely amazing and the prices are great! I tried the chicken taquitos and they were crispy and delicious and the equites were absolutely the best I have ever had! The staff is friendly and the spot itself is so cool and the colors are vibrant and fun. We can't wait to go back! Pro tip ask for the hottest hot sauce they make in house it is sooooo good! Also they have amazing specials every single day! Definitely recommend checking them out!"
"We stopped by around 1:00 on the 5th of March. The restaurant is small, but nice. Teresa took care of us. She is so sweet and such a doll.We weren't happy how long it took to get the food. But, we loved it.Please let her know. I wish I could have her whenever we go here."
"Delicious Mexican restaurant in this plaza. This location has been so many restaurants and was a Mexican restaurant before as well. Today we had lunch with Jo wait at 1pm. Very nice service and great food. The enchiladas were not swimming in sauce but done just perfect. Definitely a great place to come."
