"My wife decided to surprise me and took me to John Brent to have my hair done today. He did an amazing job I love my hair! It's been a long time since I've had a haircut and I decided to go with long layers, and my hair looks completely transformed; I did not even get color and everybody thinks I had my hair colored that's how good it looks. John Brent is a true master of his art. I will definitely be coming back."
"Have been going here since 2000 (even when it was named Balzano). Great location in the Target shopping center on Southside and very nice interior with good prices and friendly staff. Get Robin - she's fantastic and has been cutting my hair (she does eyebrow waxing too) for 13 years. She (and Hair Unlimited) accepts walk-ins too.Closed Mondays."
"This is an amazing little jewel. The stylists are all independent contractors and book their clients and set their own prices. Christina Perez is the owner and she's amazing. She's is absolutely, hands down the best with color. She also does nails. If you're looking for someone to rush you in and out, then she's not for you. She's meticulous with her work and takes her time. We've started doing my pedicures while the foils and color are sitting on my hair. It's just a perfect amount of time. She's not the type to rush people in for cuts while she's waiting on your color. When you're her client, the attention is on you and she 100% listens to what you want. Her number is 904-314-0075 to book with her directly. I've also had great haircuts from Ryan and Gia. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Beth had done my manicures for years and I'm always getting compliments because my nails "look so real". Well, they are because I don't mess with acrylic or tips ~ lol. I wouldn't hesitate to book an appointment with anyone. As I stated earlier, everyone in the salon is a independent contractor. They book their own clients and set their own hours. They are all professional enough to have developed followings, but are still friendly and keep the salon a fun place to go."
"I've been going to Mac for at least 20 years. My primary hair stylist is Margaret (the owner) but I've been to Macy, Amber, Maggie, and Colin, and everyone is EXCELLENT. The vibe of the salon is very warm and welcoming. If a mistake is made (very rare - maybe 2x for me in 20 years) it is fixed immediately without hesitation. Everyone's work is fantastic and they are especially good with color. Prices are reasonable. Cannot recommend highly enough."

Diane has done it again! Rocked my hair and I LOVE it, yet again. She even cut it while I wore a mask. Nothing gets in her way of being extraordinary at her craft. She's so much fun to chat with and I love being around her energy. I'd hang with her outside of the salon! Diane really knows what she's doing and loves doing it too. I will forever be getting my haircut from her.

Christina was Wonderful!! Before and after pictures from my cut and keratin treatment. It will remove most of your curls, cut dry time to a fraction, make straightening a breeze, and make your hair so much healthier and hydrated. She told me I would need to use silicone and sodium free shampoo/conditioner/products for best results. She was very nice and helpful! It took my huge head of hair 1.5 hours total. She said it should last around 6-8 months if taken care of. I do miss my curls some days, but super happy with the results.

Just moved to Jacksonville a few weeks ago. I looked up a salon that sells Kevin Murphy products. Little did I know the stylist I made the appointment with is actually a Kevin Murphy instructor! He is awesome! His expertise with scissors was nothing short of incredible! Very impressed with Colin! I have made regular 4-week visits through the end of the year - I'm so happy this part of my moving adjustments has turned out so well!

Romell has got to be the best hair stylist in Jacksonville. Amazing color with hi lights and cut for an affordable price! Must make an appointment weeks in advance because he is always booked but definitely worth the wait. Great cut and color, fun salon and always great music! Romell's mother also cuts hair, can't go wrong here!

I've visited this salon over the past two years for my 4 year old son's haircuts as it is convenient to his school. Until this week, I've never experienced an issue and to get a quick haircut for a kiddo its been a good option. The reason for 3 stars instead of 4 is due to my visit this week (and the only reason I'm giving them a 3 instead of a 2 is b/c the franchise owner, Regina, called me directly to apologize for the experience). I checked in online and expected about a 15 min wait. When we arrived the receptionist stated 20 minutes...not a problem...they were busy. My son and I waited patiently (which is hard for a 4 year old but he read all the books and hung out with no issues). I told the receptionist upon arriving that my son had syrup in his hair and would need a shampoo as well as a cut. No problem she said and we waited. 20 minutes later (as quoted) they called his name. Before we could make it past the receptionist the stylist looked frustrated and concerned...over the shampoo. I said is there an issue? She said "How is this going to work? You have to come back there with me and hold him down you know how kids are." I said of course I will but he won't be an issue (my son loves to have his hair washed btw). She wasn't convinced and expressed concern again. I said if it is going to be an issue we can come back another time. She continued to walk towards the shampoo sink frustrated. At this point I was concerned with her being upset and then cutting my son's hair. She made it very clear I was putting her out. My son hopped into the seat ready to go but she looked at me and said "see how is this going to work?". I said do you have a booster to get him higher. Then my son asked her if he could get a lollipop after his hair cut...she said if you can be good then you can. (Huh?) She said see I told you (again). I said listen I get it you don't want to wash his hair. We will go somewhere else. Now I will point out that my son was not being wild, jumping around, screaming that he didn't want to wash his hair...honestly he was confused and quiet. WI took his hand and walked out with him. He said she was mean...I said (loud enough for her to hear) no son, she is just rude. Minutes later I called back and asked the receptionist for the stylists name as my plan was to report her to corporate. She apologized over and over saying she understood and I appreciated that. Within 10 minutes I received a phone call from the franchise owner apologizing and offering to make it up to me. I let her know we didn't spend a dime and did not expect anything in return other than her handling the situation internally with that stylist. So that was the bad experience...again, I've been coming here for 2 years with absolutely NO issues. So would I return...ugh maybe. For the convenience to his school...maybe/probably. But I can tell you if I ever walk in there and see the same stylist...I will walk out and wait for another day. I honestly have a better option closer to my home which is a new location and I really like their work and stylists. But until this week I wouldn't have thought twice about coming to this Great Clips. I hope they work out this issue internally and figure it out for future guests.

I was in town for a few days and I desperately needed to color my hair to cover my grays. I was able to make a last minute appointment with Jackie and I am so glad that she was able to fit me in. She was extremely thorough with my color. She took me outside in the sun to match my true color. Most stylists usually slap the color on and let me sit for 30 minutes but she took the time to comb through the color to make sure that the color was evenly distributed. She didn't try to sell me on expensive products. She actually used excellent affordable products that I could get on amazon. If I lived in Jacksonville I would be her regular client. She was truly a perfectionist and Meticulous in styling my hair. I would recommend her to anyone that needs a trim and color touch up.

"When you find a hair stylist that makes your hair look like a mane from an edgy Vogue magazine, you should remain faithful. I've strayed because my crazy busy schedule usually means I'm lucky to squeeze in a cut with whoever & whenever I can. Each time I've done this, I regret that the person was not Romell because my hair was never quite right. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't terrific either. The point is, Romell books up quickly so be patient, call early and plan accordingly. He is great about sorting through the photos of hair I'd like to have and customizing the cut to my hair texture, length and level of commitment. Romell is kind about the reality check when I get too far out there and yet strives to give me daily glamour that I can maintain. In short, Riah is worth the wait and I'm done trying out the convenient imposter."
"I've been coming here for years and have found a couple of stylists that I like. Checking in online, you can make requests for whom you prefer. My name on the app looks like:Ed A. STYLIST - where stylist is the name of the person you are requesting. Once you find someone who provides consistency, then it's all about the convenience of the location which for me this place falls nicely into that category. Great management who often works at the location - Regina I believe. Not all GC's are created equal and it all starts with management. This place stays busy so definitely check in online to avoid long waits."
"I only go to Tim at shear perfection when it comes to my hair. Because he's the only one that I could trust to trim the style that I like since I'm extremely particular of how I like my long layers . I drive 35 minutes to get to have my hair cut by Tim and it's definitely worth the drive. The price is reasonable and I always leave happy/satisfied. Although I would like the blow out after the cut but I always leave with wet hair (Oh well..) But the hair cut is only $25, so I still think it's a fair price. He usually takes 30 minutes to wash and cut my long/thick hair, so he's pretty quick."
