"I cannot believe I've never been to this place before now! What a hidden gem that hit every mark to a T. This is a family owned meat market and restaurant that you can tell they pour their heart and soul into! They are so friendly and provide great customer service. My boyfriend and I ordered a Caesar salad to start, I got the steak in a sack with homemade chips and he got the 16oz ribeye with onion rings and green beans. The portions are great for the price point. I can't think of any place in Jax that serves a ribeye with 2 sides for less than $30. The quality of the meat can't be beat! The steak in a sack had actual steak cut up rather than thin sliced steak, it was so juicy, flavorful and cooked to perfection! You know it's fresh and top quality when you get a preview of their delicious meats in the case. They have a vast menu of sandwiches, handhelds, salads, sides and entrees for dinner. They offer BOGO wine and beer out of the drink fridge and have homemade goodies from the grandmother of the family. Don't sleep on the homemade pickles!!"
"If you want authentic, this place is it. I can't believe I've never been here before, and I cannot wait to try more things on the menu. On top of that, the prices were great - especially compared to some local chains. Then after you eat, ensure you stroll around the store! There's a meat / butcher shop in the back and a huge pastry and bakery section."
"So, first thing to understand is, they recently moved to a bigger and better location on down the road but still on Beach. Now, they have more room for their grocery store proper but also a food court, a barber shop, a store selling Indian ladies' fashions and apparently much more yet to come. I mean, it has just opened very recently. The grocery itself is very interesting: it's not just Indian goods but also Turkish, Middle Eastern, Persian, Pakistani, Afghan, and more. It seems like everything is halal--I'm not certain about that but seems the main theme is all products are halal. Now, because of this international flavor, things can be a bit confusing at first because a lot of goods are grouped by nation/culture but some are not. This is means among other things, there is an aisle of tea . . . but that's all Indian tea. Afghan tea is elsewhere, as is Persian. There are of course Indian pickles but not in the aisle titled "pickles" which instead is everyone else's pickles--so like Levantine pickles there. You just have to poke about some to figure out where everything is actually. They also have a variety of baklava and samosas up front for sale next to the check-out station. I got some samosas and they were absolutely excellent. Then there is the food court. There is an Indian express take-out cafe but the real attraction is Istanbul Grill and Bakery which relocated here. Their menu has been expanded and they even plan soon to start serving Turkish breakfasts on the weekend which is amazing: Turkish breakfast is just beyond but rare to find in a restaurant in the US (I make it at home but it is very time-intensive and dirties up countless small plates for all the jams and such necessary). They are also now a complete bakery and have the most utterly incredible-looking cakes. I did not get any of their cakes because I have a whole tray of baklava at home but they do look delicious. As I speak Turkish I could not help but overhear conversations people were having around me and all were Turkish and all were happy with their food--which speaks volumes. It is very rare to have that many Turkish people happy all at once about a restaurant. That's the best review of any Turkish restaurant you can get."
"Great Asian grocery on the Westside. They have some hot food here, they have a meat counter, they have produce, they have Shirataki noodles. There is a huge selection of rice and noodles and dry goods. Always have something on sale. There's notes all over the place from different people offering services. Seems like it's the community bulletin board. The owner is a cool guy. Very helpful and willing to order whatever you want. I love to get my bags of seaweed snacks here. I believe they also have lottery. Funny story, I came in here last year and they had gotten a case of crawfish or maybe two or three and they had a big bowl of fresh crawfish out on the checkout counter so you could see them. They were still alive so I asked the guy if I could buy a couple for my fish tank which she thought was very funny but he threw a few in a bag and didn't even charge me for it and they lasted for years LOL. Fun little pets. That's the kind of place this is. Never know what you might find."

The food is delicious here, and very reasonably priced. My favorite is the dinner menu, I get the tenderloin and it is phenomenal. I get it with the onion rings, they are homemade - best onion rings I've ever tasted. Took off one star because of the service and the inside. Service - have had a few instances where our order got messed up or given to someone else. However, servers are very kind and always try to make it right. As other reviews say, the inside isn't anything fancy. My main drawback with the inside is that it gets loud with everything going on in the kitchen and the restaurant. We have tried to sit outside to eat, but it's not super well-maintained and not a great solution in the summer. Overall, definitely recommend trying the food as you will not be disappointed, but have some patience with the service and the inside of the restaurant.

One of my new favorite Mexican places. Very authentic. Great prices, great value. I can't wait to go back and try more things! The chipotle bistec plate and the chicken meal my fiancé got were great. Highly recommend the shrimp ceviche tostadas, the shrimp was super fresh. We are gringos (hablo un poco Español) and our server was very patient and helpful in describing menu items we weren't familiar with and helping my fiancé choose an entree. This would be a great place to enjoy some cervesas or margaritas with a group of friends. Everything really hit the spot!I will definitely be taking more time to meander through the grocery store connected to the restaurant next time and see what catches my eye!

We did not know this place but was recommended by someone and it was indeed a hidden gem!Apna Bazaar has 2 restaurants, a pizza store and a supermarket inside. We tried both and their food was delicious, big portions and affordable! Definitely going back to the Indian cuisine. The grocery inside has a variety of Mediterranean snacks, treats, fresh produce, etc! One of the restaurants also offers the famous Dubai knafeh chocolates. It was good but I prefer the crispier knafeh. Food was also served fast at their common dining area. Oh and they have amazing Turkish coffee! We will be back!

This is really quite well stocked offering a large variety of Asian staples, Asian produce, sauces and canned foods. They even have a section where they have prepared foods ready to eat and ready to go. Quite a generous and large parking lot although it was completely full when we arrived. Overall a good source as an Asian supermarket.

I had never been here and while waiting at the DMV (1.5 hour wait...what?) it has a nice restaurant and import store of packaged foods, household items , wines/beers, frozen meats, pizza and even gifts! I was told it has been here 6 years and it's still here so that's a good thing!

Making tamales this Christmas? Go here! They have plantain leaves for authentic Honduran tamales. Not only was I excited that this location was near me, but the service inside was outstanding as well.As an American woman, I am use to the stares when shopping at an ethnic grocery store. However, I found this store very well stocked and full of patrons. Everything I needed to make Christmas tamales was here.... the meat, seasonings, masa, Manteca ..... and if needed the tamale steamer. The store was clean, the isles were accommodating, they had a fresh meat counter and they have fresh cooked food (I did not taste any good on this trip). If you are in need to get your authenticity on ..... they have the ingredients!Merry Christmas

"After a Yelp event, my friends and I explored Brazil Deli Market. I was greeted with a friendly smile and hello. The bread was the first thing I saw. It was soft to the touch and looked amazing! They sold lots of fresh meats, with some already seasoned. The wings caught my eye immediately. Then, we strolled through the grocery store to explore. We then headed to the counter to order prepared foods (in the cases). Each of us ordered several different items to share. Wow! My taste buds were so happy. Honestly, I can't tell you the names of the items we ate, but I enjoyed everything! The ham and cheese was one of my favorites as well as one of the beef stuffed pastries. They also had a menu. I saw a few items as they served to others, and the food looked so good! If you are like me and love international cuisine, check them out! Your taste buds will thank you;)"
"This is the Mi Pueblo meat market, aka "Mi Pueblo #2" (it is down Beach blvd from Mi Pueblo #1). From the intel I received from the owner of El Castillo, this is the primary carniceria for the area. They sell El Castillo's bolillos. But most importantly, they sell meat. And real skirt steak which they call "carne fajita". Since my Spanish is limited to pointing, carne and lo siento, I couldn't ask for what I wanted, since I didn't know how to ask if there was more of things in Spanish. Or what something was. This time, I came with my kitchen accomplice who, thankfully, speaks Spanish. I left with 5 pounds of the most beautiful skirt steak. I nearly cleared them out. I felt like I won the meat lottery.I also got some really nice uncured pork belly, bone in pork chops, and longanisa (unsure if that's chorizo or something else, but I bought it anyway). I was not a fan of their pre-marinated carne asada for cuts of meat, it wasn't the best. I thought it would've been long strips of skirt steak, but it's cut up with some grisly parts. Did you know it's impossible to find skirt steak in the greater Jacksonville area? Publix, nope. Tillman's? Nope. Small butcher down the street? Nope. Anyway, I am fairly certain this isn't owned by Mexicans. It's Central American and northern South American (Peruvian, Guatemalan, El Salvadorian). It was hard to find a crema that didn't have cream cheese in it like the La Vaquita brand I've come to know and love. Their tomatillos are perfect. Avocados aren't all hard. Lots of different kinds of queso. Chicharrons, homemade and packaged. All the quintessential canned goods."
