"Dreamette is the stuff of legends--a Murray Hill staple that's been serving up happiness since, well, practically the dawn of time. (Okay, maybe not that long, but long enough to perfect the art of ice cream.) First things first: bring cash! This charming time capsule doesn't do plastic, and honestly, that's part of its old-school charm. On a humid Florida day, you'll likely find a line stretching out front, but trust me, it's worth it. Think of it as the universe's way of making you savor the anticipation. When you finally get your hands on that luscious, creamy goodness, you'll realize it's not just ice cream--it's an experience. Even the pickiest ice cream snob would have to admit: this place is the real deal.Seating? Let's just say it's not Dreamette's strong suit. But who cares? There's a few tables but we grabbed our treats and embraced the tradition of driveway ice cream. There's something about eating ice cream in your car or perched on the bumper that makes it taste even better. Bonus: no judgment when you accidentally wear half of it on your face.A word of caution: your eyes may be bigger than your stomach. These portion sizes are not for the faint of heart. That "medium" cone? It's basically a dairy skyscraper. Go ahead and challenge yourself--you're living your best life, after all.If you haven't been to Dreamette, do yourself a favor and get over there STAT. Your taste buds will thank you, your diet will cry, and your soul will be very satisfied. Long live Dreamette ice cream!"
"I have dined at BB's periodically for over a decade. Although I have always enjoyed it, the food has been exceptional during my recent visits (all during lunch). The menu is vast, with both the brunch and main menus being available during weekend daytime hours. Lately I have been hooked on the fish and grits, which consists of the blackened catch of the day (most recently it was a delicious corvina) topped with a bacon marmalade (with legitimate chunks of bacon), cheese grits, and fried green tomatoes - this item is fantastic.BB's is no secret in Jacksonville but reservations are attainable - I would suggest calling even if no slots appear available online. The restaurant is clean, the atmosphere is vibrant, and the service is kind and patient. BB's is my go-to spot whenever I am in the area."

"What an amazing bakery/cafe to satisfy all things sweet. They have an extensive menu ranging from macaroons, cheesecakes, cupcakes, muffins, and a plethora of other goodies. We even got lucky and came in on a weekend where they serve freshly made beignets, which is what we ordered, along with a cheesecake. They also have excellent coffee to compliment the sweet treats. The ambience is very cozy and comfortable and the staff warm and friendly.See you next time Sweet Cravings! =)"
"I liked this food truck. It is somewhat new on Beach Blvd, right after you get off the Commodore Point Expressway. The people were friendly and cheerful. I got the beef shawarma. It was tender and full of flavour. The wrap was soft and fluffy. The crispy pita chips were great by themselves and with the hummus and tabouleh. The kibbeh also had a nice balance of meat and spices. My kiddo even said the vegetarian items were "yummy".Like many of the food truck areas, parking and exiting can be a little tricky, but I think it's worth it."
"I stumbled upon this cute little coffee shop on my way to an estate sale. First rule about an state sale is finding a hidden gem among the masses. And boy is CFK is a hidden gem. It seems like a family run business and we were given some free treats while waiting in the drive through. The menu is pretty straightforward and I'm shocked at the wallet friendly prices. It is a no frill coffee shop with the essential basics. The coffee was warm like a hug and the banana bread was delicious. It's a drive through, quick and friendly. Can't wait to try it again!"
"amazing place to let your toddler run and play! They have a kid corner with a bunch of toys and cars! So greatful for this space! We haven't had a meal where we could eat comfortably in a year and half ha ha! Also the food was incredible! Best pizza we've had in a very long time!!!"
"My Husband and I worked with Diane for our Wedding, that took place in the fall of 2019. It was a different time, pre pandemic. She welcomed us to come in for a tasting on a Sunday afternoon in April (book ahead y'all). She had baked cupcake versions of all sorts of flavors and had fillings and frostings galore to pair with them. We pretty much decided in the car on the way home that we had found perfection. She created beautiful cakes for our day, meeting and then exceeding all expectations. She took inspiration photos from me and kept in close touch to make sure I was completely happy with the final look and design. We chose vanilla cake with Italian cream filling for the main star of the cake table, and a chocolate cake with hazelnut filling for the Grooms cake. On the day of our nuptials, we provided toppers and she took care of the rest! Our guests ate that delicious cake so fast, and raved about it afterwards. Diane took great care to explain the packaging of our top tier, and I will tell you that thawed out a year later it was still magnificent!!"
"Has she ever come here? You have to try the French silk pie, or the peanut butter pie. They're both amazing. The food here tastes homemade. Toasted cheese and tomato soup. For being a simple meal, it's different the soup it thicker and creamy great flavor. The toasted cheese is on a thicker homemade bread. I could order that every single time and be happy, It's so good. I did get meatloaf one day. I was very happy with that too."
"Stay far away from this store! I ordered a birthday cake, and it was my first order from this bakery. I only eat bakery items on special occasions, as I am a diabetic. This cake was for my niece's 30th birthday party. We picked up the cake on May 27th, 2024, and paid $50.00. I thought the price was high for a plain vanilla cake with buttercream icing and some strawberries on top, but figured it would be worth it from a bakery. But when we cut the cake at her party, it was truly awful! The cake was so dry and actually had a cornbread texture! And the icing was like paste and tasted terrible! Frankly, it ruined her party as no one could eat it. So, a few weeks later, I posted a review on Google with 2 stars and wrote that the cake was very pretty, but the taste did not match the appearance. The owner replied back, stating they wanted to make it right and for me to stop by and see Mark. I called and left a message on their cake order line that I would be in on Thursday, the 20th. So, on that day, I stopped by, and boy, was that a mistake! I introduced myself to Mark. He said yes, he remembered the review, and he did not get my message that I was coming. I said, "Is this a good time?" He then proceeded to look up a picture of the cake on his phone and said "oh you only paid 50.00 for this cake? I paid 20.00 alone in strawberries!" I was taken aback and said well that is what yall charged me and he said it should have been 100.00! I then nicely described what was wrong with the cake and how it ruined the party, and he says Well you want another cake? And i said no why would I want another bad cake, and that was for a birthday anyway, and I was diabetic, and he continued to argue with me and finally I said why did you say that you wanted to make this right and asked me to come in when you obviously don't want to? And he CONTINUED to argue, doubting my word, asking why i didnt try anything in the bakery before i ordered, asking why I took so long to post the review (it was from 5/27th. My husband was in the hospital and then I was ill so I posted the review on 6/15th, which was not even a month later), AND he continued to.complain about my paying "only" 50.00! Finally I said look I am not going to argue with you, I am the customer! You obviously are not willing to make this right, so I am leaving! He says well I offered you a coupon and.I said yes, and I told you I couldn't eat anything here, and also, I do not trust the quality. And he says well what do you want and I said I would accept a partial refund (25.00), and then he REALLY blew up and yelled, "You underpaid by 50.00 already! It should have been 100.00!" With that, I walked out. Please stay FAR away from this store and this angry, belligerent owner! He is also very dismissive and demeaning towards women!"
"Delicious and juicy polish kielbasa, perfectly seasoned veal sausage and great NYC hot dogs! Family owned business with a great customer service. Apple cake reminded me of my grandma's cake."
"This food truck is amazing, creative, delicious and really unique... they cater parties and even weddings to customize your tastes!!!! Nik started this idea a little over a year ago and it just gets better and better, the won ton nachos with ahi tuna are amazing... follow the dragon weekly to see where he is going, never a dissatisfied customer"
"The best desserts on this side of heaven. They did the cupcakes for my son's wedding and they were awesome. She does some custom cakes. I love everything I have tried so far.She is located in the Trout River Food Park."

Banana split in a cup is amazing ! No whip cream fillers just delicious ice cream and tons of gooey toppings. The strawberries are soo good. I get a medium and it is way too much for one person. Great service , fast and professional. There are benches to sit on when the weather is cooperating.

My husband ordered a Bloody Mary and it was one of the best he's had, he said. I enjoyed a lovely Chardonnay. ThereVersion on a ChineseChicken salad was good, not great. My husband ordered then flatbread pizza with sausage on it and delicious itwas. Dinner next visit. Loved the place

In my opinion, it was a bit sweet and it had a grainy texture or sugary texture. I would've loved to taste more of the cream and not so much of sugar. The establishment was very clean and the service was impeccable. I will definitely be going back to try some other options. Don't sleep on this cute dessert and coffee shop. You will not be disappointed.

I was sad when Liberty closed. But I was so excited to see a new local and might I add, friendly business pop up in this spot. I was greeted by the super sweet shop owner. I loved her smile and demeanor.I decided to try a few of their breakfast items and ordered a chocolate caramel iced coffee. Everything was good but here's what I enjoyed from super tasty to tasty (because nothing tasted bad!) #1 Chocolate caramel iced coffee- So delicious that I drank it all without taking a picture. It was sweet, without tasting artificial or cloying sweet, and smooth. #2 Spinach Quiche - well seasoned, good flavor, the crust was soft, not crisp, but still a good bite#3 Bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit - the sandwich had a soft and hearty biscuit with good sized thick and chewy bacon. I prefer crispier bacon, but given the cut, I figured that contributed to the texture.#4 Biscuit and gravy - it has the same soft and hearty biscuit as their sandwich. The gravy was a good consistency and had plenty of turkey sausage crumbles in it. The only reason why it's at the bottom of the list is that I wish it was a tad bit more seasoned and savory. I love that they had turkey sausage instead of pork (just personal preference) and that it was a good sized portion and very filling. I'd definitely come back again to try more of their menu.

Pizza is consistently good. I'm a shop owner in the complex and order the supreme pizza to go quite often. I have not been disappointed and much better that many take out chain pizzas. The Stromboli and subs are also very good.

I live in CA and ran across D&D through a web search for Jacksonville bakeries as I was helping plan my grandson's first birthday party. I called and left a message. My call was returned promptly a Diane. I described what I was envisioning and she also recommended options. I text pictures of the LEGO block smash cake I had in mind along with an order of a dozen red velvet cupcakes for delivery. She confirmed my order via email and I was able to pay via e-check since I was still in CA.The day of the event, Diane delivered the goods exactly at the agreed delivery time and surprised us with an added touch of little lego blocks made in fondant in different colors in front of the cake. This was intended to be a smash cake but we just loved the added touch that we highlighted the cake in our display. As far as taste, the smash cake was vanilla flavored white cake with a whip cream filling. There were mixed reviews from the guests about it being dry but I personally thought it was moist enough and good. The red velvet cupcakes were a delight with the cream cheese filling. Because of the heat out here, she recommended buttercream icing to avoid from melting. Aesthetically, it looked good and tasted great.Being a new customer and trying to do the transaction from the other end of the state, it was simple and easy and overall a good turnout. Diane was personable and I plan on ordering here for my baking needs. Happy customer I am!

Food is always delicious and of good portion sizes. Reasonably priced as well. Menu is limited but something for everyone for sure. Staff are all friendly and service is fast. Been here 4 times and will be going back. Popular item is the outlaw chicken salad.

"I don't think one review will be enough to express how impressed I am with this bakery and its owner Nicosia! She is an angel! My original baker canceled five days before the baby shower I was throwing for my friend and Nicosia was able to take my order and have it ready by Thursday in just three days. Not only that, but the cookies were stunning! Everyone at the baby shower asked me who made them and everyone was impressed. My friend's husband is a pilot and Nicosia incorporated little planes on the cookies which made them even more special. I highly recommend her, look no further! I'll definitely be ordering from her again for future events."
"Love it! Fresh, fast, delicious. Do your self a favor and give this one a shot. Everything was tasty. Salad, shrimp, potatoes, asparagus."
"Such a beautiful little place! walked in and they were putting out super fresh garlic bread and a lady said she would give me a tour. She then explained all of the products and what was in them. The garlic bread is apparently filled with cheese and bacon and was amazing! There were two ladies eating inside and apparently they came all the way from Georgia for the bread. I got some nutella and gouda rolls and croissants as well. Prices are very reasonable and I will be back."
"My baby shower cake and matching macaroons couldn't have been more perfect! I sent a picture of what I was looking for and the result was even better than the picture. Beautiful, delicious, and reasonably priced. I will definitely be getting all my special occasion cakes and goodies from Lynda from now on!"
"FOOD was great and service was even better. had the fish sandwich and it was the most tender and succulent sandwiches I've ever had."
"This taco truck was super busy one day while we were driving by so we decided to stop by today. It is in a shell station, but don't let that fool you. The customer service was great, we spoke broken Spanish and the staff spoke English well enough for us to get our order in correctly. We ordered tacos. The tortillas were perfect, the meats were seasoned great (carnitas & chicken) and the toppings were generous. They have a few salsas you can try depending on your spice sensitivity level. They offer their food to go or they have 2-3 picnic tables right outside the food truck where you can eat. Overall, we will be coming back!!! 8/10"
"Cute aesthetics, friendly services, mochi donuts are good not overly sweet but just right. My daughter enjoyed her boba."
"There are not enough words to describe these cookies! OMG delicious!! This is my 3rd time trying Crumbl and the chocolate chunk is my go to. I mean look at the chunks in this cookie. When you walk into the store the young man behind the counter describes in detail what each cookie of the week is. I knew going in what I wanted but listened to him anyway You can order a single cookie , a box of 4 , 6 or 12. Run, don't walk to your nearest Crumbl store!"
"Twelve of us hit the door hungry! We ordered a variety of food and drinks on separate checks. All food came out together, hot and fresh. Service was phenomenal. We arrived at 11:30 am, seated right away and drink order taken as we waited for the rest of our party. We will definitely be returning!!"
"I came in for breakfast on New Year's Eve as a treat. It was! The waitress Chloe was super attentive and brought hot coffee right away, then took the rest of my order. It took less than 15 minutes before she brought my breakfast which was delicious and perfectly made with over-easy eggs, creamy grits with a nice dollop of butter (I already mixed in before I took the pic), crisp bacon, and a grilled biscuit. All piping hot as was the coffee! The cafe has a lot of Hawthorne's history, adding to its ambience plenty of trains from the era when Hawthorne had her beginnings. I am wheelchair bound and found this restaurant to be accessible and the staff to be engaging rather than the way I am typically ignored or overlooked in most establishments. Thank you Chloe, I truly appreciated your kindness as well as your kindness to the child behind me! I am sure the family will remember you as well! Late into my meal my son asked me to order a waffle for him. I ordered a strawberry Belgian waffle combo. He like it so well he ate every bite of it: fresh macerated strawberries, Belgian waffle, crisped bacon, and scrambled eggs! It was all a wonderful treat! I would recommend and will be back!"
"Tried them out at 904 pop up! Delicious cupcakes that are light and fluffy and have the fluffiest whipped cream! I could've eaten a bunch but I had to be good and just buy the one cosmic cupcake they had. Definitely worth checking out, they also have brownies (s'mores brownies ooooohhhh) and cookies."
"I have a secret to tell you... I don't usually like birthday or wedding cake, unless I make it myself. Well, that has changed.Hosted a Hospice Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon and The Cake Shop of San Jose made our cake. It was an absolutely gorgeous cake. A profusion of gorgeous lush flowers seemed to have bloomed right on top. I did not eat any of the cake at the event, as I get so stressed and nervous when I am an event coordinator, but a small sliver of cake managed to make it all the way home with me, and out of curiosity... I tried it. I was so sad I hadn't snatched a larger piece, because it was nirvana! The cake itself held a tender buttery crumb, and the fresh raspberry filling tasted like they had picked the berries that morning. Even the icing on top was good, light, sweet, and not cloying with vegetable shortening. In fact, I would venture to guess it was made with real butter. And since my super power is that I have more taste buds than the average bear.... I really believe it was. Exceptional turnaround time as I ordered it last minute, and great customer service!"
"What a fun experience! Enjoyed the cookies very much! Great to have in palm coast! Different cookies every week! Must try more!"
"A love story:Oh so rarely do we stumble upon a hidden gem that we forget how soft the unicorns mane really is. In short; this place is absolutely fabulous! So many components needed to form such an experience. The husband behind the counter spinning a tale of how they all played a role in building their dream while putting together orders and explaining their menu options to customers . His wife working passionately to fill them, not cutting ANY corners in the process ( I literally watched her stop what she was doing to prepare fresh whipped cream) I had a quick flashback of sitting in my grandmother's kitchen watching her while she prepared us banana splits when we were kids.Their daughter; a Chef who clearly understands that quality and consistency are essential in producing a lasting brand. (they prepare nearly everything in house) clearly thought out flavor profiles and texture variations that work and complement each other really well. Their homemade custard was perfect in both consistency and flavor. Then executed perfectly to the menu description. Dang, someone pinch my cheek.During my tenor as an executive Chef and instructor at a culinary school this is literally what we taught and strived for, who we supported and who we were proud of. They hit it on every level. This place is an absolute MUST try. If they can maintain their consistency and keep pace it will be the best spot in town without really any competition. They have my business, and if you try them they will most likely have yours too. Thank you for strumming on some of my heart strings. You made my day"
"The owner and staff are very friendly. The cheesesteak sandwich and seasoned fries are outa sight! I'll definitely be eating there again."
"One thing my family and I sorely miss from home is good Peruvian chicken & sweet plantains. So after finding out my son's Sensei was Peruvian, I quickly asked him if he had any recommendations for good Peruvian chicken. I could not be more thankful for his recommendation. The juicy chicken was packed with flavor all the way down to the bone and their sweet plantains was a delicious way to cap off the meal. We also had their sweet potato fries, but sadly that did not survive the ride home as we were famished, but they too were amazing. =)Thanks Brazas Chicken & we look forward to seeing you again very soon."
"Biscotti's is definitely one for the books. I went there with some friends for Sunday brunch. We came as a walk-in and had to wait over an hour for a table. I would definitely recommend reserving a table for this restaurant as they quickly seat their guests who have reservations. I ended up ordering the sweet potato pancakes with the house-made sausage and the hashbrowns. EXCELLENT! Would recommend this to anyone who is on the fence between options. The house-made sausage definitely took me by surprise by its freshness and great flavor. Everything that I had on this plate was a 10/10. If you're in doubt, you won't regret choosing this restaurant."
"It you love soft serve an you love shakes this spot is for you. It's been a rough year for us all an what better way to make it better with one of their amazing milkshakes. As soon as you walk in your mouth is already watering with all the prospects you can have. An the smell is ahhh-mazing!!! I have had several of their shakes an they so good. The strawberry cheesecake is a must try if you like cheesecake. With real cream cheese, graham cracker sprinkles an fresh strawberries on the top it's delicious. But if your not in the mood for a shake then just have a sundae! They have plenty of options to choose from with great prices. The service is great an will answer all your questions. They also have a loyalty program with points for free shakes when you save them up. So stop by this local favorite you won't be disappointed."
"This is the second time we have gone to Sugar Factory but this is the first time at this location. Our waitress was incredible and super friendly and you can tell she loves what she does. Today is my mom's birthday and they came out and did the song and ice cream that my mom picked out. I really wish there was a location closer to us so we can go a lot more often. The Cajun shrimp Alfredo was AMAZING!!! It had the right amount of seasoning and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. My only complaint is that the portion isn't that big for a $30 meal. For my drink I had the Mai Tai goblet and it was sooo good, I want to try other flavors. My mom had the same Alfredo and I did and she loved hers. My youngest daughter had the waffle with whipped cream and strawberries which she really enjoyed. My oldest daughter had a cheeseburger with a side of fries and the burger must have been so good because it was gone in no time."
"I frequent Flippin Good Cookies as a walk in customer on a weekly basis. I will forever enjoy the Girideli Moca Cookie. It is a life changer. Janice has also helped me with large orders on the fly before, she always comes thru with a smile on her face. Highly recommend."
"We really like Minerva! Authentic Indian food that is legitimately spicy (you've been warned) and served with a smile."
"The coffee was great, the matcha and the chai tea were delicious. The bagel sandwich, potato hash, soup no complaints.Good quality coffee (Counter Culture) and the chai was made from scratch not from syrups. The blueberry pastry was so yummy! No photos of the sandwiches cause we ate them fast :)"
"I get the same drink at every boba place...passionfruit lime. This is my new favorite. It is SO fresh and the drink isn't packed with ice and fruit slices. There is actually BEVERAGE in the cup. You can also choose no ice, which one of my kids does, and of course, choose the sugar level. My kids rank this one first on the boba list, too.Employees are friendly, service is efficient. We haven't tried any desserts, yet, as they are still getting up and running."
