"I cannot believe I've never been to this place before now! What a hidden gem that hit every mark to a T. This is a family owned meat market and restaurant that you can tell they pour their heart and soul into! They are so friendly and provide great customer service. My boyfriend and I ordered a Caesar salad to start, I got the steak in a sack with homemade chips and he got the 16oz ribeye with onion rings and green beans. The portions are great for the price point. I can't think of any place in Jax that serves a ribeye with 2 sides for less than $30. The quality of the meat can't be beat! The steak in a sack had actual steak cut up rather than thin sliced steak, it was so juicy, flavorful and cooked to perfection! You know it's fresh and top quality when you get a preview of their delicious meats in the case.They have a vast menu of sandwiches, handhelds, salads, sides and entrees for dinner. They offer BOGO wine and beer out of the drink fridge and have homemade goodies from the grandmother of the family. Don't sleep on the homemade pickles!!"

"As a self-proclaimed soup girl, Sun Deli is basically my dream come true! They had five soups of the day when I visited on a Saturday, and I went with the creamy cauliflower--it did not disappoint. The egg salad was simple, classic, and satisfying, and my partner's MCD Rob was absolutely phenomenal. This is the kind of classic deli that nails both the food and the service. Can't wait to come back and try more soups (and sandwiches)!"

"This hidden gem was AMAZING!! Everything was delicious!! I came with friends and everyone was completely satisfied. We had fluffy pancakes that didn't even need syrup, turkey sausage, buttery soft biscuits that melt in your mouth, & creamy grits (top it with the crawfish pepper jack soup trust me it will blow your mind)!!! We also had the ham and Gouda sandwich that was sooo buttery good!! This is my new favorite spot 5 stars!!! Thank you Ms. Terri, Kat, and JoJo in the kitchen is a bad man!!!"

"I took my son to his early morning appointment across the street and found this deli on Yelp. We did not have time to eat before we left our house and we try to stay away from fast food so this place was a double win. I ordered a croissant breakfast sandwich and my son got a breakfast wrap. The order was ready really fast and it was delish!! They had options to dine in or take to go. I think we found our go to from now on when we have our appointments. They also have side options like macaroni salad, potato salad, veggie salad etc."

"Just had my first visit to Mocha Rita's and would highly recommend and make a regular stop for hot and cold sandwiches. The establishment, named by the owners after their two dogs, Mocha and Rita, offers fresh homemade hoagie rolls for their sandwiches and fresh ciabatta for their paninis. Visiting for the first time, I asked the owner what I should get and she pointed to the panini section of four options as a place to start. I ordered the Cuban. I chatted with her for the few minutes it took to make it. When I asked for the sandwich to go, she was sure to show me how crisp the sandwich was before she enclosed it in the plastic container. "It's not going to be crisp after it goes in here" she warned. Fair enough, she set my expectations. After I got in my car I decided I should at least take a bite while it was still hot and crispy. The one bite became a full on assault on my sandwich and in minutes, I had consumed the entire thing in my car. My cuban was amazingly tasty and the filling was very generous. I'm looking forward to my next visit back. Alcohol available here also."

They've got tons of options and even some other options besides sandwiches like burgers and hotdogs. I honestly can't speak too much to those since I always get their sandwiches. An easy going atmosphere with some small outdoor dining. It's one of my favorite sandwich shops."

"I frequent Gina's a lot because #1. I can literally walk there....but I don't. :) #2. The food is diverse enough that I can eat here every day. And #3. The food is consistently fresh and really delicious. I stand corrected, Gina's is actually named after the owner's oldest daughter (who does NOT work there), but instead I usually see the youngest daughter and the owner's only son helping out every single day. This is a true family-owned and operated restaurant that does breakfast and lunch until 4pm on weekdays and they are also open on Saturdays. Closed on Sundays.I regularly purchase the containers of the homemade coleslaw, hummus, chicken salad, egg salad, tuna salad, tabouleh, and potato salad they have available in their mini fridge near the cash register. They are all fantastic and super yummy!On occasion, I will get the stuffed grape leaves, homemade banana pudding, another tasty dessert like a slice of cake, or if I'm in the mood, a half bag of fresh pita bread. Perfect to snack on at home.I recommend any of the subs, sacks, burgers and salads. I really enjoy the grilled chicken salad and the Crinkle Fries, too. I usually do take out, but there are two rooms large enough to fit the breakfast and lunch crowds. Gina's Deli has been around for over 20 years now and I have been coming regularly to this location since 2013.It's definitely one of my favorites in Murray Hill and I do love the food, the prices & the awesome, friendly service!"

"The staff were amazing from the moment I walked in-I was immediately welcomed. When I asked what was good the person working at the register listed off a few of her favorites. I ordered the #8 and it was amazing. All of the ingredients were the perfect mix of flavors. While I didn't eat in the restaurant it is a very nice atmosphere to sit and enjoy your sandwich. "I haven't had a bad experience eating here. Food has always been on point. Veggies are fresh and food comes out nice, hot and delicious.It's run by a duo, I'd say power couple. I'm guessing they're the owners bc they're the only ones I see every time I've been here. The wife takes the food orders and preps when food is ready. The husband cooks all the orders. No matter how busy it gets, they never get flustered. Food is made to order so be patient, it's not long of a wait.Great selections on the menu, a rather big menu. My plan is to slowly try them all. From Western Omelet to Steak in a Sack...to Burgers....oh so good. Hmmm...what to try next!?!?"

"Akel's is in the Bank of America building in downtown Jacksonville. I work in the same building, making it extremely convenient. I try not to go out to eat too often, but Akel's is always there if I decide I just don't want to eat what I brought from home. They have hearty salads with some of the best ranch around. Several of their soups are very good as well. As far as sandwiches go, I have only had the BLT (on a sub roll) and the Philly cheese steak in a pita. Their bacon is delicious so you can't go wrong with the BLT but the Philly was just ok. I don't often choose to go to Akel's but it will always do in a pinch."

They have the "Umwich" choice - so instead of bread, it's wrapped in lettuce!! Who knew!?! I had the #14 or the Bootlegger - turkey, roast beef, lettuce, tomato, and added provolone cheese. Delish! The service was great and patient. One of our favorite places to indulge and not cheat! Woo Hoo!!!!"

"I won a gift card from a work event for Honey Baked Ham, so while we were out of town we decided to go and grab lunch there. As soon as we walked in we were hit with some amazing smells. The smell sweet, it was smokey it was cinnamony and it smelled Good. I was ready to eat. I was excited to check out their lunch menu and see what tickled my fancy. They had a lot of different sandwiches to choose from. I ended up getting a smoked turkey sandwich with bacon barbecue sauce cheese lettuce and tomato and my husband went with the traditional ham sandwich. Although the sandwiches come on a specific type of bread you can change which type of bread that you would like to get. They offer a baker's roll, a croissant, and I do believe a ciabatta bread. Browsing around the restaurant I noticed that they sell Take and Bake items like side dishes and pies to go with your holiday dinners . Service was great the young man at the counter was very patient while we browsed the menu and chose what we wanted. He also politely answered all of our questions. The sandwiches however were not all that great. I was expecting way better. I thought the meat on the sandwich would be more moist and tender and juicy. Unfortunately to me it seemed a bit dried out, it was just lacking. It was not what I thought it would be. The store itself was clean and well organized. For it being lunch time it was not very busy. For the price of the sandwich and what I got I do not think I will return."
