"I had made reservations here for a Saturday night. I was not very familiar with the area, but this restaurant came up on OpenTable and we decided to try it out. We were greeted as we walked in to a very busy restaurant. We thought this was going to be great since it was so busy...glad we got reservations! Our waiter Richard was very friendly and very attentive... hence the 2 stars. We ordered the special, which you can see in the photo. Main protein was a 10oz steak and those two crab cakes on top. The presentation of the steak was.... extremely underwhelming, but I decided to try it anyway. I ordered mine medium rare and my wife medium. She cut into hers after a few tries and it was raw on the inside. I cut mine in the middle and mine was slightly under a medium rare, but again I went with it. My wife sends hers back as I get to eating mine... I cut it from the edge only to find out it was... raw? On the edge? Very weird to me, so I ended up cutting around the steak and ever edge was raw. I ended up just not eating mine and my wife's, the second time around was also raw on the outsides... we just didn't eat our steaks and they comped us. What was good was the small crab cakes and the complimentary bread and butter. I look at the other photos of steaks and they have a good crust on them, but ours looked like they were cooked on a medium heat pan... We won't be coming back. But thankfully there's plenty of other options in Avondale."
"This was our 3rd bar stop of the day and it did not disappoint. Our server was amazing and I'm sad I forgot to ask her her name for the kudos. Here we had some martinis, French 75s, and some egg roll apps.. YUM!If you like a dessert in a glass the key lime pie martini was yummy and tasted like some ice cream almost."

"Came here for a quick bite before heading to a show. I've been here before, but it's been at least a year since I visited here.We arrived and were greeted and shown a table. I decided to order a lemon drop. Our server was pleasant, told us the specials, and then we looked over the menu.So upon looking at the menu, I will say prices are a bit high in my opinion. Personal 10inch pizzas started at $15 and it cost an extra $3 to add pepperoni. We opted to split, we share the meatball app and a margarita pizza with pepperoni. The meatball app was good. The meatballs were well seasoned as were the saucesMy lemon drop was good and came with a sugar rim.The pizza was good, small, but good. Will I Be back? Probably. I had my eye on the pumpkin risotto."
"Great tasting food. Creative taco types. If you like to experiment with your tacos, this is the place. I ordered the fish with 4 different types of tacos. 3 were great, one was ok. But still ++"
"We had a great experience dining here! The place is beautiful inside. I think they also have tables outside. Our server was fantastic! I forgot his name but he reminds me of Aquaman lol, He gave us recommendations and even offered if we wanted another bread while waiting for our meal. My husband got the Slow Braised Boneless Beef Shortribs. They were tender and flavorful! I also liked the Brussels sprouts, whipped potatoes and onions rings that came with it. As for me, I ordered the Cantonese Style Whole Local Snapper. Super crispy, flaky and the mango sauce has the perfect blend of sweet and sour. Delicious! The only downside was I couldn't see the bones as the lighting in the dining area was dark, I suggest to order this during lunch or dinner outside. For dessert, we got the bread pudding and latte to end the night. So good! I would definitely recommend Aqua Grill to my friends when planning our group dinners!"
"Nice place, good service, good food but I wouldn't go back. Dropped a chunk of $$$ for good."
"We used to be big fans, then they started to decline. I believe they went thru an ownership change during that decline and we found ourselves removing Margaritas from our regular rotation. We decide to give them another try tonight and so glad we did. While it was late for dinner and the place was almost empty, service was spot on. Chips and salsa were solid as was the cheese dip we ordered. I opted for the chimichanga poblana and it came out hot, fresh, and perfect. My wife's steak burrito was huge which always ends up as lunch the next day. It looks like Margaritas is BACK!I believe they have gone thru another ownership change, but 100% sure. The interior has added booths from when we last visited so it's definitely been a while. We will be adding them back into our rotation for sure."
"Another restaurant that seems to have been on my list for forever but we somehow never made it until tonight. Huge regret. Huge. Because we were missing out on something special! The interior of the restaurant has a modern but gorgeous feel with Asian touches. Loved the huge Bar/Mandarin sign over the bar area! The kitchen is "semi-open" with windows that can peer into the workings from some areas of the restaurant. Service is friendly, smooth, and unfussy. Timing of dishes was excellent with a short break in between courses and zero feelings of being rushed but still efficient. We (my husband and I) started with a couple of Happy Hour special appetizers: crab Rangoon and pork lumpia. We agreed the Crab Rangoon was top of the list for Crab Rangoon. The lumpia were tasty, but not quite as tasty as our friend's family's homemade secret recipe. But that's a pretty impossible act to follow. We both had a difficult time choosing between all the the delicious sounding entrees. Our server was happy to go over our front runners to help us decide. Ultimately, my husband- being a fried rice fiend - went for that with chicken added. I tried the red curry shrimp and grits, which I was informed by the server when we were discussing option that it is very different than what you'd expect to see with shrimp and grits. She was right! A generous portion of grits made into a grit cake topped with several shrimp swimming in a savory and rich red curry with onions and sliced green peppers greeted me. The taste? Divine. The red curry was a great compliment to the grit cake and shows a level of creativity balancing the global comfort-foods. It was especially nice since it was a cold evening - the perfect hearty meal to combat the chill! The fried rice was tasty and I had seen many New Yorker/New Jerseyians rave about it. Indeed, it does have that darker brown color and a great flavor. Portions were solid; we both took leftovers home (can't wait to try them after their second day rest!). We couldn't say no to the award-winning Mandarin Orange Cake for dessert even though we were full. The cake is a super moist sponge(ish) cake with a sweet icing and orange syrup drizzles. The orange flavor is not overpowering and, in fact, I enjoyed the extra orange boost of the syrup on my bites. All in all, we were really pleased with our dinner here and are looking forward to returning soon-probably with the kids next time! They'll love the robot food runner! We did learn from our server that for the rest of the year they are running Fried Rice Tuesdays, which provides options for a lower price for the fried rice (if I remember correctly, $12.99ish? But I could be wrong). That plus nicely priced happy hour appetizer options Monday-Friday makes for a pretty inexpensive weekday dinner so we'll be trying that out soon to help beat the Tuesday doldrums.I also forgot to mention both the manager and Chef Dennis came by at points during our meal to check in on us. Again, truly a welcoming and conscientious level of service everyone there provided us, from the hostesses all the way to the Chef!"
"We needed a place near the stadium for dinner before opening night for the Jacksonville Icemen hockey game. Obviously, it's not really that close to the arena but close enough for an early dinner and still time to make the first puck drop. I opted for the sheep style burger with truffle and Parmesan tater tots. Perfect flavor profile (think In-N-Out animal style) and those tots were bangin'. I dumped the fresh and perfectly crispy tots out of the silver cup onto my plate and it was a way bigger serving than I anticipated. Our server was on point - friendly and attentive. We decided to split a dessert and chose the hummingbird bread pudding. Trust me when I say save room for this creation. DEEP FRIED - yes, all CAPS - bread pudding, salted caramel sauce, coconut ice cream, and toasted coconut crumble. Best dessert I've had in a long time but I will confess I'm a big fan of coconut. My only critique is that Bellwether is not closer to my house. If you need someplace to eat downtown, Bellwether should be on your short list."
"Very delish good, the service was quick. I have celiac and there were very delish options for me. I has the chicken vindaloo and some butter chicken. Both very delicious"

The cocktails get a 5/5, but the food brings it down for me unfortunately. We started off super strong - my sister and I came for the Miracle Christmas pop-up and they were able to seat us a little earlier than our reservation which was great! The drink options and the Christmas mugs they came in were so festive and fun. They even had light up Christmas hats for us to wear and take home because we made a reservation. The place was decorated beautifully for Christmas - lights and garland everywhere! My sis got the Chrismopolitan which was delicious and I ordered the yippee ki-yay drink which was so festive, but I liked the classic flavor of her drink a bit better. I will say food and drinks are on the expensive side here. My drink was $19 and I ordered a chicken sandwich with fries which was $20. The chicken sandwich description said "juicy chicken thighs" but it was the driest chicken sandwich I've had in a while, and it didn't help they put the smallest dollop of chipotle mayo on it. I asked for more mayo, but it honestly didn't help. The fries also tasted stale and as if there was no potato in them. Overall we would definitely come back for the creative drink options and friendly service, but probably would eat somewhere else. Drinks & experience get a 5/5 while food gets a 2 from me. But maybe there are other items on their menu that taste better!

It's been a while since we last visited this place. I heard from Jay and Marllie P. that they serve Barbacoa and that they were delicious! So me and my husband planned our visit on a Friday night.Place is the same, nice interior and plenty of tables. We were seated right away and was immediately served a complimentary chips and salsa. Light and crispy chips and the salsa has a mild spice, always a great starter. Our orders came out hot and fast. The Barbacoa portion is huge! It comes with rice, beans, pickled onion and a consommé. Yes it tasted like birria, but the flavor is more subtle but tasty and the beef was in chunks, not shredded. My husband got the Pollo Ranchero with mushrooms and onions, it was good as well. 5 stars overall! I think I found a new favorite Mexican dish!

Friday Night Dinner with My Love. We were promptly seated upon arrival and the ambiance was a cozy and inviting atmosphere. To start, our server brought over a complimentary cinnamon-sugar bread that was warm, but just ok. For the mains, my wife ordered the whole snapper while I chose the short rib. We couldn't resist swapping plates halfway through to experience both dishes. The short rib was rich and flavorful. The fish was also delightful, though I wasn't a huge fan of the side it came with. Just okay to me, but my wife really enjoyed it.For dessert, we shared the bread pudding with cappuccino and it was yummilicious! The perfect sweet ending to a wonderful meal.Overall, the service was attentive and friendly. A lovely evening all around.

In with friends based on their recommendation. Unfortunately, our friends made a reservation for the wrong day! But the staff handled it well, slipping us in to a table that had not shown up for their reservation after 20 minutes. The restaurant is small but cozy, and everyone was dining inside in the 90+ degree heat. In another turn, they forgot to assign a server...we had our drinks from the wait at the bar so we muddled through. The oysters were delicious. The wines we brought were excellent with out good. They had a really nice wine list. Corkage policy: One bottle of wine not on our list per four guests; $25 / 750 ml corkageMy dry-aged steak was cooked perfectly but was overly fatty - had to trim considerably. The crab cakes were terrific as was the pork chop. Very good but just short of fantastic.

I really hate to rate low, however there was more bad aspects to my visit than good. We visited on Thursday night (5-6) and it had a few tables busy. We waited a long time to get our meal, they were out of what we ordered and the food we did get was okay, but not worthy of a to go box. Very colorful ambiance. With the amount of availability in Jacksonville, we personally won't be back. We went with people that go frequently and they mentioned it wasn't normally like this. Hopefully they just had an off night.

Chinese new year. We enjoyed the meal and atmosphere. The service and food were excellent. Meals were plentiful and authentic and what we took for granted living in NY.

"Service was excellent! Food was delicious!Had the spinach salad with fried shrimp. Huge portion and absolutely delicious! Shrimp were perfect and not greasy at all! Loved the dressing!Iced teas were refilled without asking or waiting!"
"Shoutout to Yelp Elite Karen H. for reviewing this place and posting photos of her takeout order! It looked delicious and is nearby to where I live so I bookmarked it a few months ago. We recently wanted some homestyle Italian food without having time to cook for a lazy and cold night in. I remembered Leci's and browsed the menu and their Yelp page. We called in the order and it was quick and easy. I ordered the eggplant parm based on the rave reviews and it came with my choice of pasta. I got it with fettuccine and a side salad with their homemade Italian dressing. My boyfriend got the lasagna (which was HUGE) with a caesar salad. We also shared a slice of tiramisu. Our total was only about $45 and we each got 2 full meals out of it. We are now big fans! The eggplant parm was so good and we both liked the sauce. This reminds us of one of our favorite old school Italian restaurants in Pittsburgh. So glad to know we have an affordable and delicious spot for takeout nearby. We will also go to the restaurant some time to try dining in. 5 star takeout experience!"
"Very nice servers/staff. Great food and margaritas! We went on a weeknight and it was a great place to relax and catch up during dinnertime."
"Stopped in for launch. Not busy. Nice patio for the doggie to join us. Great margaritas. Service was excellent and so was the food. Best Mexican food I've had in a long time."
"Our favorite local restaurant. They have gotten a bit busier as word has gotten out. We always love their Skinny Margaritas. One of their best dishes is the birria tacos. Service is always fast and attentive."
"Met a guy here for a first date and really glad he picked this place! The chips and salsa were really good and we also tried the queso dip appetizer. It was a large portion of white melted gooey cheesiness!! We both tried the specialty tacos for our lunch and I loved every bite of mine! I enjoyed the Fiery Fish Taco with fried fish, onions, avocado, sriracha ranch, & lime habanero cabbage. The fish was decadent and the sauce really hit the spot. I also had the pleasure of consuming the Chipotle Shrimp Taco with grilled shrimp, cabbage, pico de gallo, and homemade chipotle sauce. Succulent, juicy shrimp cooked perfectly and the sauce was incredible!! Both tacos exhibited the perfect melding of flavors and textures. I'll most definitely be back again and would probably order the exact same specialty tacos because I loved them so much!!"
"My waitress had a beaming personality! This is more of a chill spot for young adults. The food was just okay for me. The idea of the grapefruit on the plate with my food was a big no for me. Overall, I would recommend them for their entertainment and drinks."
"This unassuming restaurant located in a strip mall off of 17 in Fleming Island is my new go-to spot for authentic Mexican cuisine. It's only been open for a year now at the time of me writing this review. Check it out...From the moment we were seated, the friendly staff made us feel right at home. The prompt service and delicious complimentary warm chips and fresh salsa set the tone for a fantastic meal.I started with their homemade tamale, a flavorful and tender masterpiece. The shredded pork was perfectly seasoned and melted in my mouth. For my main course, I couldn't resist trying the Fried Shrimp Taco and the Baja Fish Taco. Both were packed with flavor and complemented by the tangy chipotle and sweet mango sauces. My server's recommendation of the Taco Jalisco was spot on. The seasoned steak strips, sautéed onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes created a harmonious blend of flavors. It was juicy, tender, and incredibly satisfying. My mom was equally impressed with her classic cheese quesadilla. The restaurant's bright and spacious atmosphere, combined with the fast and friendly service, made for a truly enjoyable dining experience. The fresh, flavorful food and delicious sauces were the icing on the cake. Their menu is massive and has plenty for everyone in the family including a kid's menu. If you're looking for tasty authentic Mexican cuisine in Fleming Island, this hidden gem is a must-visit."
"If you haven't been to Barley & Pie in Fleming Island - YOU ARE MISSING OUT. My husband and I were at an event where the host had ordered some pies from Barley & Pie and we are OFFICIALLY HOOKED. We've been 3 times in 2 short weeks. The pizza's are made on sourdough crust... for some reason I didn't think it would be great, I'm not a big sourdough fan. WRONG. It's amazing. And now our tummies don't hurt after pizza Not a pizza fan? They have some incredible sandwiches that some members of our group ordered and loved. We were also impressed with their in house brewed beers. Such a nice addition to our food options in Fleming Island. And it's so nice to support a locally owned business. They've just added more happy hour specials. Plus they do a kids eat free night during the week. Highly recommend checking them out! Pictured below my absolute favorite- hot honey pepperoni"
"My husband and I went here for a dinner date with a Groupon I had purchased tonight (9/3). We showed up right at 6, and it was pretty empty. The floors and booths were all clean, and they had 3 different tv's playing different sports. The bartender was very nice- he took our orders and got us ice waters right away. I had the shrimp tacos, and my husband ordered the steak tips. My shrimp tacos were delicious! The taco shells were just flour tortillas that were cold/room-temp, but the shrimp had a caramelized kind-of crust and were sauteed with garlic butter. They were delicious! It came with pico de gailo, bang bang sauce, and sour cream. Really glad I ordered that bang bang sauce on the side, because it was waaaay too hot for my baby mouth. My husband said his steak was very tasty, but he missed the fact that it didn't have a grilled taste. The loaded mashed potatoes had crispy browned cheese on top, so my husband gave it two thumbs up. The bartender tonight was very quick with bringing us the check and was very nice! I wish I knew remembered his name, but I hope the owner sees this and gives him a pat on the back. Bathroom review: Clean, one-room bathroom. Plenty of toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.Hope to come here again soon! My husband wants to try their 1/3 lb. burgers. I think they would do better if they separated the nightclub more from their dining establishment."
"Nestled on Gate Parkway and Burnt Mill Road, this restaurant boasts a delightful ambiance perfect for unwinding after a long day with colleagues or enjoying a lovely evening with family. With both indoor and outdoor seating, it creates an inviting atmosphere complemented by a well-stocked bar offering an impressive selection of beers, wines, cocktails, and mocktails. During my recent dinner with a girlfriend, we opted for the outdoor seating to relish the pleasant weather. We indulged in the Cryin' Hawaiian Wings and the Salsiccia Pizza, both of which were exceptional. The wings were bursting with a fantastic blend of spicy flavors, including pineapples, honey, Calabrian peppers, brown sugar, basil, and nutmeg, making them a true delight, despite a few being slightly burnt. They were tender and easy to enjoy. The pizza also impressed with its thin, fluffy crust and a delightful kick from the Calabrian pepper oil. I wholeheartedly recommend the Cryin' Hawaiian Wings and the pizza, and to top it off, the Saturn Mocktail was expertly crafted by the bartender, making it a refreshing choice. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit!"
"This is a wonderful new addition to the area. It's a bit more pricey than other sushi restaurants around, but the high-end ingredients are worth the price. The service was attentive and exceptional. The miso soup hands-down is the best I ever had. The owner, Benny, is engaging and is ready to answer any questions you may have. I will definitely return and bring friends!"
"The service was impeccable, food amazing and plentiful. It was karaoke night great entertainment. A must!"
"I have dined at BB's periodically for over a decade. Although I have always enjoyed it, the food has been exceptional during my recent visits (all during lunch). The menu is vast, with both the brunch and main menus being available during weekend daytime hours. Lately I have been hooked on the fish and grits, which consists of the blackened catch of the day (most recently it was a delicious corvina) topped with a bacon marmalade (with legitimate chunks of bacon), cheese grits, and fried green tomatoes - this item is fantastic.BB's is no secret in Jacksonville but reservations are attainable - I would suggest calling even if no slots appear available online. The restaurant is clean, the atmosphere is vibrant, and the service is kind and patient. BB's is my go-to spot whenever I am in the area."
