"I have been coming here for quite some time, becoming a regular. Each time I have been here the quality of the ramen continues to be outstanding.! as a creature of habit, I always get the curry vegetable, which is the best I have had anywhere. I have tried other Ramen restaurants, but nobody compares quality or service to this location!Their business has definitely picked up in the last month, having a waiting list to get in. We got there 15 minutes after they opened and they already had all the tables filled and eight people ahead of us. I will say, however, it is so worth the wait!Today we had James as our server and I have to say like the other servers I've had there he was outstanding! Their team truly takes care of the customer. I was listening to the other waiter we've had before. (wish I had his name) working with the gentleman sitting next to us. There was something on the bill that was not correct and this waiter was so professional calm, and customer centered in his approach of how he dealt with it. There is also a young lady who works there, again I wish Ihad her name, who is so wonderful with customers. Her genuine smile truly makes a difference. Fortunately I've had the privilege of having all three at one visit or another.Overall, the food is phenomenal. The service is outstanding and it's worth the wait!"

"Absolutely my favorite location of V Pizza! It is truly the best! The quality of the food is much better than any other location in the Jacksonville area. This location is really neat inside! It is kinda dark but with lots of wooden decor. It is super cool! The food is amazing! The winds were more well cooked here than any other location. The cryin Hawaiian wings are my absolute favorite! They are sweet and spicy and have a great flavor! The pizza's are like nothing else! The dough is soft, and chewy but not too thick or thin. It is perfect! The cheese is fresh, the toppings are top notch! The pepperoni is great! The flyin' Hawaiian is one of a kind. The picante is my favorite though with pepperoni, sausage and Calabrian Chili which is great! The service is good. I liked when the locations had table service but the going up and ordering is fine. Just feels more quick service which for the price is kind of a bummer."

We also came back three hours later and ordered The Southern Fried Baptist and Sweet Southern Fried Baptist wings, so good!The staff are super friendly and there's also a nice little dining area. The food does take a little while to make, but that's because everything is made fresh to order. They make it super easy to order ahead over the phone or online. If you're in the area definitely check them out!! They're directly behind the Taco Bell and 2 minutes down the road from Jacksonville University."

"I was not impressed the first time we came to Island Wings a couple years ago. It wasn't bad but nothing to make me want to come back.We happened to come after my son's soccer game a couple months ago because we needed somewhere close before his little brother fell asleep. The food was much better and the service was exceptional. We've come back 4 times since and every time are blown away by the service.The burgers and motz sticks are our go-tos but we had the poke nachos today and will definitely be getting those many more times. There's almost always a food special with multiple kids eat free days and times. The wings are ok but we have other restaurants we prefer for that so we stick to other menu items.But more than anything, the service. Today the manager went out of his way to set us up on the back patio since our Saints game wasn't anywhere inside. Nicole was so sweet and attentive and was checking on us so frequently despite being the only people on the patio she never forgot about us.We will continue to come back over and over for the great service and food."

We also had no issues finding parking along King Street. It seems it's a blend of teriyaki sauce, hot sauce and jerk sauce. Well my good lord...whoever was working must not have wondered if the other two wing orders were for MILD, should they have perhaps taken that into consideration and put only a drop or two in there. I convinced my husband before our waitress came over to try one and his face went bright red and this is the man that had jalapeños in his steak wrap! He was shocked I actually ate the entire wing. Do you want to know how wonderful this place is? Without any qualms at all, they took those inedible wings off our ticket! That's something that's so seldom done these days and shows not only good judgement on the part of mgmt, but to even take that problem up to her boss, it shows a good waitress. I can't say it was the best meal I ever had, but those tangy gold wings will be something I'll be craving until next time I can get back up here!I thought about dropping a star for the wings we couldn't and didn't eat, but since the problem was so immediately rectified, why do that to a business and crew that are obviously working their butts off to make sure the food is fresh and delicious? So 5 stars you guys still get for the unbelievable effort you put into this place!"

Our server quickly came to the table and took drink orders. I can't remember her name, but she had blonde hair and was super nice. She said they run happy hour every day from 3-6pm, half off drafts, $5 cocktails, and $6 apps (certain ones).What a pleasant change of pace (no real price hikes). Our beers came out frosty cold, and we sat for a bit to enjoy our beer. We then decided to order a few more drinks on happy hour and ordered an app of cheese curds. They came out super quick.Please note, looks can be deceiving. These looked more like chunks of fried cheese, but let me tell you, they were quite tasty and did taste like cheese curds.We also decided to order ten boneless wings to share. They came out even quicker than the app, and these were doused in sauce and were quite good.All in all we'll be back, even just for some drinks and to catch a game."

Next time I'd get a different sauce and it'd be perfect! The queso is also really good. You can't go wrong with their apps here! Order a couple and share amongst the table so you can try a few of them. Be prepared to wait 45-60 mins for a table on NFL Sunday- they were PACKED!! Can't wait to go back!!"

Even though there were seven of us, one order of chips and salsa would have been enough as it was a huge bowl with lots of chips. The salsa was good and the chips were fresh. I really enjoyed the potato skin topped with a little sour cream!I was very happy to find out they served Pepsi;) I ordered the Full Court Salad with blackened chicken minus green peppers. The salad ingredients were fresh and it was a huge portion. I brought half the salad home for dinner. The chicken was tender and juicy however it was not blackened. But it was seasoned well. I also tasted a piece of fried fish which was delicious! Hannah, our server was friendly and attentive. I would go back as the menu was huge so there are lots of other items to try."

They gave us the semi private room at the end of the bar, which was nice because it was easier to walk around and talk to each other. On this visit, I had a seltzer and ordered chicken tenders. The tenders were hot and tasty.For the NFL game, we took over the bar, which included the tables and bar, with roughly 40 in the party. On this visit, I had a white Russian and ordered the Angus burger with Swiss cheese with a side salad instead of fries (no upcharge). They forgot my toppings, lettuce, tomato and onion. When the server brought them to me, she also gave me an order of fries. And the fries were crispy, hot and yummy! Plus the burger was juicy and delish.Service was a little slow, but both times I was there with a large crowd, and the restaurant was busy in general. The servers were friendly and the manager walked around asking if everyone was good. That shows they care about service!I'll be back for more football fun in the fall!"
