"We're so lucky to have The Cummer Museum in Jacksonville. The museum is located on the banks of the St John's River, about a block away from the Fuller-Warren Bridge in 5 Points. They offer a children's learning area, rotating exhibitions, priceless artwork, beautiful gardens and a tasty cafe (worth a visit on its own).Depending on the season, you can attend outdoor concerts, performances, and other special events. Although admission is charged, several local businesses host free admission throughout the year."
"I had the pleasure of enjoying lunch with friends Sunday afternoon. It was my first time visiting Southern Grounds and the food did not disappoint!I got in line, ordered my food and grabed my number to take to the table. They had a self-service water station. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with sauteed onions, mushrooms and bacon. Oh my, I don't think I've ever tasted a chicken sandwich so good! The seasoning was perfect, and the sauteed onions and mushrooms complimented the sandwich so well! For my side I chose the Mediterranean salad and I'm so glad I did. There was lots of indoor seating plus a large patio. The downside was parking. But that is the issue for every business in San Marco. There were a few parking spots right beside the building which were all taken. I ended up parking on the street about four blocks away. They did have another small gravel lot just across the railroad tracks. I learned there's another location in Neptune Beach closer to me. I will be checking out this location soon!"

"This is an interesting place. The menu that is handed to you does not have prices on it. The scan of the menu does have prices. And you can order and pay for it thru your phone. Or you can walk up to counter and order but you get hit with a 10% fee. Either way it is very eclectic style of restaurant. Had the rise and shine breakfast and did the self serve coffee bar with a pretty good selection of regular or flavored coffee. I ordered my breakfast with English muffin. And it was grilled. Very good. Breakfast was very good and people that work there are very helpful. Just a bit different style of restaurant. Still worth going and possibly going back now that I know the routine."
"The service was good - the food was pretty blah. There were 5 of us - we had 4 different orders - 1 was salad (no complaints) but the other 3 were disappointed."
"A++++++++ very tiny place. Even their bathrooms are tiny. But what they lack in space they make up with TASTE!!!! Ive never had a waffle I havent needed to out syrup on. It was soooo tasty. You MUST have their fruit bowl. Definitely a side to share for 2-3 or even 4 people. I felt like royaltyz my family went on a coffee binge at this place. Compared to all the other breakfast places we went to, this place had perfected the coffee game. The service was spectacular and charming. Ilwe felt like family when we there. I have absolutely no cons.Tip: get there early.....they open at 7am. They have a sign that says not Public restrooms so some people sent some family to use the restroom away from the restaurant. Their name was called and the whole family wasnt there. So they couldnt be seated and had to wait longer. The bathroom sign is for people walking by.....but the worker said that if you are waiting to be seated you can use the restroom. Just keepIn mind its small and right next to tables"
"Was staying for the weekend (6/14/24-6/16/24) at Hampton Inn District Harbor for my 2nd wedding anniversary. My husband and I wanted to try this sandwich spot and so glad we did. Our food was made fresh and service was great. We sat outside in their peaceful deck area soaking in the sun and scenery."
""Coffee is so good we even drink it ourselves on occasion" was the epithet on the wall welcoming us to Beach Hut Cafe. It was actually a second runner up choice from our first choice. It was very welcoming as we mosed up to the front counter and took our seats. All seats had a nook, beach bench vibes. There was no hostess so customers picked their own. It very busy place. Unfortunately the waitress touched the bread with thier hands. Everything was right in front of us. We did not miss a thing. Elizabeth, our waitress gave us time to order. Wifey had the breakfast special not picture. Two eggs, french toast or eggs, potatoes, grits and toast. It was a nice way to start our Saturday morning:)"
"Super fast service! And the staff were very nice. My daughter loves this place and the decoration is her fav. We both got the brown sugar bubble milk tea. It was really good."
"Cute little cuban Cafe in the cut. It could easily be missed but is def worth the stop as the empanadas are to die for... they have a wide variety, including chicken, beef, and vegetable. They also serve a variety of coffee. Nice place to grab a snack before sight seeing."

This popular Jacksonville attraction is now up there in my list of favorite U.S. museums. (I still have many more to explore, but top ones so far are the Cleveland Museum of Art, Virginia Museum of Fine Art, and the Met.) I love how this museum combines art and nature with its permanent and current exhibitions and expansive gardens (more on the gardens in a minute). The works of art selected for display and the different themes are well-curated and well-explained in thoughtful captions. The museum space itself is very pleasing to the eye and a serene environment for visitors. There's also a great section for kids that seems like it has something for everyone. Lastly, the main gift shop makes you want to buy everything, and it probably has a gift option for every person in your life. I could spend all day inside looking at the different exhibits, but it'd be a waste not to explore the gardens--Olmsted, English, and Italian. The Italian garden is most photographic, but each garden offers something special. I was enamored with the colors and variety of blooms in all the outdoor spaces. The gardens felt like an oasis in the city, and I could almost forget the sounds of cars in the near distance. It was an overall wonderful experience and was well worth the ticket price. They also do free admission on some days of the month.

Friendly atmosphere and good service. The meals are always made fresh and healthy choices. Coffee shop that you can grab and go but having a seat and just enjoying is the way to do it.

Decided to check out Cool Moose Cafe for breakfast. It's a pretty casual-style establishment with a waiter/waitress to assist you but you have the ability to order/pay through your phone which I thought was neat. We got there early so it wasn't much of a wait but after 11:00 it began to get pretty busy. I ordered the French toast and a side of home fries with added chorizo and American cheese. I will say the food was pretty standard - not bad but definitely something I could replicate at home. On a positive note though, the service was good and the host at the door was super kind!!

Excellent meal! We stopped in on our way through. The menu is big and varied which was nice for the 3 of us who have different tastes. The waitress suggested the Turkey Cranberry Panini and it did not disappoint! I highly recommend it now, too!

"Breakfast is a morning's worth of mood insurance." - Amy Krouse RosenthalThere is a lot to like about this quaint little gem tucked into the harbor and a few things that were downright peculiar which after contemplating I have decided added to the experience. The visible scars of transformation through the years; where outdated meets modern radiates an interesting energy. My wife and I grabbed a table in the back to take it all in. An abundance of beautiful local artwork lined the walls and it's for sale. I LOVE this! It shows support for the local art scene and shines light on who the owners are. Also on the walls are pictures of some of their food options with a menu description, they seem proud to serve "Jimmy Dean" sausage (peculiar) but hey, the food is great, let's talk about that a bit:I ordered the signature Benny, as an executive chef here is what I was looking for. Correctly cooked eggs that gush out the yolk when you spear one of them with the side of your fork. Check. An ample amount of Correctly made Hollandaise sauce that has some acidity to cut the fat of said delicious yolk. Check. A biscuit or muffin preferably griddled as the foundation of the dish. Check. Thinly sliced ham that Is easy to cut through so that you are not battling with it to stay in place the entire time. Check. Potatoes a mix of reds and hash. A bit peculiar but it was done well. I found my self tapping my toes to the Elton John song playing in the back of my mind. "Benny, Benny, Benny" for the win. My wife had the waffles with scrambled eggs and bacon. I knew full well that I would get to snare the bacon from her plate when she asked me if she should get that or the "Jimmy Dean" as her meat option . Muy yum! Don't feel bad for her I lost at least half a Benny in the exchange, but the bacon was good. The scrambled eggs were correct (no color) and the waffle was great, a bit on the sweet side. This place is small, get here early for a table. Enjoy the vibe, and please, stay a little strange. Our world simply needs this type of variety. Thank you for a great experience. We will be back

What a cool place! The atmosphere is unlike any other café I've ever been to. The staff were friendly and quick to make drinks. The drink pictured I actually didn't try because I don't drink sugar... but my friend absolutely swears by it. It's a brown sugar boba tea with extra brown sugar & almond milk (I think). She slurped it down and thoroughly enjoyed every drop of it! The menu didn't include any items I could eat or drink except water (I'm on the carnivore diet = NO carbs) but I expected as much. I usually just drink water every where I go, anyways. It was still a super cool spot to enjoy a beverage with a friend. I definitely recommend!

"I have never been to the establishment, but they are a vendor at the Riverside Arts Market every Saturday in downtown Riverside under the I-10/95 overpass next to the St Johns River. They have a large assortment of bread and pastries. I have tried all of the pastries, they were all tasty. Recently though, I tried a loaf of High Fiber with Fruit. The bread is loaded with grains, fresh milled flour, and a variety of seeds and fruit. I'm on my 3rd loaf, it's packed with fiber, and it's moist because of the fruit. I prefer it toasted plain, but butter certainly makes it delicious! I also love their Sourdough loaves!"
"Has she ever come here? You have to try the French silk pie, or the peanut butter pie. They're both amazing. The food here tastes homemade. Toasted cheese and tomato soup. For being a simple meal, it's different the soup it thicker and creamy great flavor. The toasted cheese is on a thicker homemade bread. I could order that every single time and be happy, It's so good. I did get meatloaf one day. I was very happy with that too."
"I walked in a little after 7:00 AM on a weekday just as the old-timers were getting their stools adjusted at the breakfast counter for their countless cups of coffee, yeah I'd say this is a local's restaurant which was exactly what I was hoping it would be. The outside is kinda bland as is the strip mall it's located in but the magic is inside, this cafe is very unassuming but very clean and comfortable. The service was excellent, the staff here is really friendly and attentive you'll never have to worry about your coffee cup going empty and by the way the coffee is outstanding. I ordered two eggs over medium, bacon, grits and toast - the food arrived fast and it was all cooked perfect. I think arriving early was a good choice because the customers continued to fill this place as time passed but even with the cafe filling up the service remained attentive. The prices are very reasonable and all the food was delicious and a great value I can see why people flock here. If I have one regret it's that I didn't try the biscuits but I won't make that mistake again- hope to return soon.."
"I woke up early one morning to walk the beach and wanted to grab some breakfast. When I got by the street, I saw High Tide Kitchen was open and decided to stop in.The restaurant has a very clean vibe and the menu is not overwhelming. I went with the meat lovers omelet and it was delicious. My server was very kind and attentive. And everything about my experience was great. I definitely will be back when I am in town next year!"
"Exceeded our expectations! When local Venezuelans recommend it and approve then it's a win! So delicious loved everything we ordered! Cheese was oozing out! Don't remember all the items we ordered but it was perfect and highly recommend it!"
"So delish! We stopped by for their coffee of the day and grilled pork sandwich. Derick and Sakeena really have a great venue here. The coffee was freshly ground. What a wonderful sandwich. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft inside. This is really a great start to the sandwich. The pork was tender, greens and veggies, fresh. Oh so good.Very nice menu with a great mix of beverages and food."
"Bright, airy, baseball themed breakfast and lunch spot. Driven by more times than... Well, a lot. Finally stopped in, and now looking forward to a return visit Staff helpful and ouitgoing, portions are generous."
"Graffiti American Burger Bar is a casual and friendly bar that you want to spend a couple of hours at relaxing and chatting with others. They have good bar food like juicy burgers, chicken wings, etc and a full bar that makes you feel satisfied. Good food for sure! There is a large free parking lot available for customers. I also loved the graffiti on the walls. We ordered chicken wings to go and a tray of some of the best pretzels and sauce I've ever tasted! Yummy! Service was friendly and helpful. We plan to go back next trip to Jacksonville Beach!"
"Our go to bakery for Keto desserts! For Thanksgiving I ordered a keto key lime cheesecake so there was a low sugar dessert option during family gathering. Note: this tastes like a key lime cheesecake except there is no crust. For strict keto dieters, it's perfect! It's pricey but to me this is worth it ($48). For my diabetic family members, it was a hit! I needed a little crunch so I bought a Graham cracker pie crust, threw it in the air fryer for a few min then crumbled it up and added a little to the top of my cheesecake. I don't mind supporting small local businesses like Wicked Batter because their items (traditional and keto) tastes great!"
"Just tried Fox Lady Cafe and loved it! Great little local place. Had the turkey wing with yams and cabbage and the stuffed fish with Mac n cheese and dressing. Both were very tasty! Each entree came with rice (I normally don't eat rice but it was very good) and cornbread (also good!!!). Of course we had to get their strawberry and yellow pound cakes. Everything was great, eg cute decor, nice service, found was perfect comfort food, etc. Small space (ie probably holds 10-15 people) but it's nice and intimate. We went during covid (June 2020), and they were just doing carry out. Apparently they also cater, and I can see why. Check em out!"
"This inconspicuous "hole in the wall" cafe is tucked away in the CIT building off Deerwood Park Blvd. A nice place to grab a delicious piping hot breakfast after my morning Y workout!Their made to order omelets are savory delicious and I highly recommend the Western Omelet with ham, Western veggies and your choice of cheese. Make it a combo and you also get grits/potatoes and your choice of toast along with a large cup of coffee. The cafe opens sharply at 7AM Monday through Friday and also serves lunch. Give them a try if you want a delicious breakfast away from the Town Center maddening morning rush hour crowd!"
"I work out in Hawthorne in the afternoons. All of my coworkers love this place, but I'd never had the chance to go, so I was happy for a Monday afternoon where we all could go! The restaurant is under new management and owners, but they do have some cow decor in honor of them. The new owners do accept credit card/debit card payments for food. PJ's is an absolutely adorable place situated in the Hitchcock's plaza. The minute you step in, this place is warm and inviting. The wait staff is friendly and so is the cook. If you're lucky, you'll get to hear them talking back and forth--it really makes the place feel like a home. Service was quick and very mindful of our water/coffee cups being filed. On this day, I had the veggie quesadilla, some beef quesadilla, sauté veggies, and mashed potatoes with gravy. Let me tell you--this food is amazing. I don't think I've ever had a restaurant give me so much flavor in my side of veggies. And the gravy on those potatoes was perfect. Some of the other items that my coworkers recommend are the meatloaf (a special), the liver and onions, the Shepard's pie (also a special), and the greens. It's really nice to have a restaurant in Hawthorne with so many options and good taste. This is a place worth putting on your regular breakfast or lunch dine out rotation. I'm looking forward to trying some of these specials myself!"
"This place is great both Spanish and Mexican food. I've never had a bad meal here. They also have multiple locations in Ormond in Daytona. Family owned. Very nice people. Definitely try it once twice if you like it. !!!"
