"All I need to say is FABULOUSLY FABULOUS HOME Cooking. This little place was found on a recommendation and wow they were right. There was 6 of us and 1 child and the cost was $60 for the all you could eat buffet.Everyone tried a little of all of the items on the buffet. There was baked and fried chicken, pork chops, fall off the bone ribs and the sides of veggies was endless. The restaurant also had 7up biscuits which were very good. There was also a salad bar and a dessert bar. Our waitress was very good about keeping all of the drinks refilled. The restaurant even gave us a cup of water for the dog.The decor is rustic with different lunch boxes all over the walls.I give this place 5 stars for the amazing home cooked food. No frozen stuff here. We will definitely return on our next trip"
"Love this place. We come when we are in the area to pick up our pups from Southern Goldens. The buffet is great. The food is fresh and hot. The workers are friendly. When we were there about a year ago they had picnic tables on the porch for outside dinning since we had our dogs with us. Definitely not fancy but very tasty food and a great value."
"IMO, you kind of know what to expect with these places. I've never been to one I thought was awful, but I've never been to one that's incredible. So nearly all of them I've been to would come in at 3 out of 5 for me.2 things during our visit made it a 4 star visit. One was the service. Everyone we interacted with was very nice to us, along with the other tables around us. The second thing to me as the quality and amount of sashimi that was available."
"Great food. Nice experience. Friendly staff and nice portions. Worth the money. Unique and refreshing."
"Excellent food and even better service. I would take my out of town friends and family to this restoranut whenever they visit. I always try something different whenever I go here and have never been disappointed."
"I love the plantains, cabbage, wings, fried shrimp and beef Pattie's at De Real Ting. Their Caribbean food isn't the best in Jacksonville and I hate that you have to ask for sauce because every time I've ordered the Jerk Chicken it's dry, and then I have to order 4-6 sauces which is beyond me.They have live bands sometimes depending on the season and usually on Friday. Oh, you can also enjoy karaoke on Fridays inside of the cafe and I enjoy it every time. Friday downstairs is hip hop night and Saturday's is reggae night. But they honestly play reggae mixed in every single time.Downstairs in the club and a whole other world. It gets really hot, you won't have much service on your phone and you can smoke downstairs as well."
"I went here for Thanksgiving with my family. Working in hotels, I had an idea of what to expect. However, what I received kinda exceeded it.When it came to food, there was something here for just about anyone. I'm mostly vegetarian and was able to walk away full. They had all the Thanksgiving fixings of collards, turkey, ham, roast beef, mac and cheese, stuffing, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole and mashed potatoes and gravy along with a dessert and salad bar. While the food itself was hit and miss (the Mac and cheese and green bean cass were "meh" and the stuffing had a weird lemon taste that clashed hard.) their service was spot-on given that we were a large family. Overall, I walked away full with little complaint."
"The interior of this restaurant is spacious and clean with an amazing entrance! Staff is super efficient in keeping the tables clear of used plates. They are also friendly and helpful. The food was VERY good! I've read previous reviews and it seems their hiccups are definitely being improved and resolved. Their sushi offerings were fresh with even sashimi available. The cooked offerings were as delicious and fresh as was the soups. The only slight miss was the dumpling wrappers were a bit tough compared to the delicate ones from freshly made. I think it's probably a result of the premade ones having to sit out. Still delicious though. I couldn't try everything on their massive buffet - there's only so much stomach room, but everything I tried was absolutely delicious! Everyone else in our party of 6 also enjoyed their selections. The only negative comment from them was the pork ribs were very strong in the pork aroma and taste. They thoroughly enjoyed their other selections though and all of us went back for seconds. We will most definitely return and can't wait to try the foods I previously didnt have room for. Highly recommend!"
"Very expensive for the amount of food I could eat. The table had the cooktop for the meats and the burners for the soup. I got the chicken soup which was very flavorful. The markers on the buffet were incorrect so I got squid instead of pork belly. I don't know how long to cook squid so I couldn't eat it when it was cooked since it was too tough. The cook top was truly very hot in the center and hard to cook everything quickly when there was three of us. That being said the rest of the proteins I chose such as shrimp chicken and bulgogi were very tasty with the soup. Also the sushi and sashimi were very tasty. They have a huge salad bat which I couldn't eat at this time due to having a tooth pulled. I probably will go again with my partner helping me choose the meats and taking full advantage of the salad bar."

Traveling through the area, we turned to Yelp for somewhere local for lunch. Thus, we ended up at the Lunchbox.Apparently they relocated from a previous location & we got rerouted. Eventually we found it.The decor is simple with lots of lunch boxes set around the room. You walk in & pay first.A waitress stopped us after we paid & asked what we wanted to drink. We proceeded to the buffet to get food & went to find a seat.We saw the waitress take drinks to an empty table on the other side of the restaurant. We didn't know if we were supposed to get up & move or stay where we were. So we stayed & another server came up & asked what we wanted to drink, so we stayed where we were. The process was just kinda confusing. The food: overall it wasn't bad. There were several things that were yummy, others that were not. The mashed potatoes were almost black because they had so much pepper in them - I couldn't eat it.My hubby got what he though was beef/gravy - it was liver. He basically threw up when he took a bite.So keep in mind that the daily meats are listed behind the register & the items are not labeled on the buffet. We would probably try it again, but it was just ok.

This is one of our favorite lunch stops every Saturday. I always get the buffet and salad bar cause it's always fresh and well done with a lot of selections. My wife always has a BLT and a side of Okra which she says is fantastic. Best fried Okra around she says! Wish they were open later they close at 2pm. Staff is super friendly and always knows what we want before we sit down.

My childhood consisted of my family and I going to different all you can eat buffets. My favorite was all you can eat Chinese buffets. I was craving unlimited Chinese food and wanted to splurge so I went to Google and found this gem of a restaurant around the corner of my house. My husband took me here in a lunch date and we had a blast and ate so much they had to role us out of this restaurant. My plate was filled with all sorts of delicious of meats like spare rides, teriyaki chicken, bourbon chicken and sweet and sour chicken along with white rice and lo mein. They also had a ton of seafood to choose from. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive! The lunch special on the weekend is $12 for adults and $6 for kids!

There are several options on the cold/hot bar that are very good. There's more food than I've ever seen in my life. Many of the cuts of meat are very good. I enjoyed the salmon and the prosciutto/cheese cuts at the cold bar the best. The chimichurri was delicious. Great atmosphere and staff. Seems very clean. I do understand why it's so expensive but that's why I didn't give a full 5. I've had food that's to die for, for much less and then had leftovers. I don't really eat enough in one sitting to justify the price point. That being said, it's good. Some pieces are wonderful. It's a fun experience and should be tried at least once.

Huge portions, staff that treats newcomers like family, AMAZING food. The crab bisque is better here than at the San Francisco dock!

Nice little Caribbean place with lunch time buffet. Have driven by here a lot but happy to finally try this place today. The lunch buffet is $10.99 and drinks are separate. Had delicious jerk chicken, yellow curry with chicken and potato, mixed vegetables with cabbage and carrots (so good!) fried chicken, yellow rice, and salad. The mixed vegetables with cabbage and garlic were so good, they were pan seared in garlic and oil, addictive really. I had a couple of servings. Finished up with a nice small scoop of homemade peach cobbler from the buffet. It is as good as it sounds, warm and sweet, with a touch of tartness. My coworkers got some goat meat pies and really enjoyed them too. Will definitely come back and the jerk chicken is off the chain!

Went here with my family tonight as it's getting harder to host as my family has gotten older. This year we decided to enjoy a dinner out and enjoy dessert at home. I anticipated a standard hotel buffet but was surprised to see there were several selections available. While I found some meals a bit meh like the green bean cass and the collards the turkey, mash potatoes and gravy were stellar. Our service was spot on as we were a group of 20+ but she was on it cleaning up plates and getting us refills. I left very full and happy. Happy Thanksgiving!

We went here because it was brand new. Literally open for 4 days. The place is jumping. It could be cause it's new, however they had sushi, kinda hibachi (nothing like a true hibachi place) and random Chinese buffet foods. Service was good, lines were long everywhere but waiter was slow clearing the table of empty dishes. I would go again

"So glad they opened another location near our place! Although it's a smaller spot, they still offer one of the best and affordable Brazilian food you crave. We ordered Picanha and Grilled Chicken Breast for our entrees. We waited a few minutes since it's made to order so it came out hot and freshly cooked. As for the sides, they have several options which you can choose from their hot bar. Both meats were flavorful and tender. I loved the Chicken Lasagna! I can't believe it was a side option! And of course you can't go wrong with sweet plantains, so yummy! We also tried their Beef Empanada. Crispy and lots of beef fillings, delicious! The staff was friendly and the place is clean. They also offer assorted desserts, but we were so full, so that is for the next visit!"
"Me and My Family Was So Hungry and Figured to Try This Place... Read All The Reviews & Seen a few pictures that people posted. There was both good & some comments were not so good but as I always say You can never judge a book by its cover. So my family & I just said we'd give it a try and boooy was it Gooooood . Upon entering we were greeted by a friendly guy at the register. Gotta pay b4 eating which is cool. Then we just grabbed our plates & went at it. I will say it was amazing sushi area was good and everything else after that my family was pleased. They checked on us if we was ok. Once the food pans that needed to be filled there was staff on hand making sure to take out the old pans to put in the new ones. They checked temperature and made sure plates and Utensils were on hand. I give this place a A+ We DEFINITELY WILL BE BACK! Great Service With Great Food At Great Prices"
"We stopped here on a whim and man we are glad we did. Although there was a buffet ( Tuesday and Fridays). We ordered off the menu. First and foremost the service was excellent. We were greeted as we walked in and had water almost immediately. The menu is a bit short and time of day specific. But the choices were excellent. The kids meal menu is not just one or two things that you normally see. It was a good selection and good portions. The adult portions are very generous and fill the plates. We will return."
"Such a great little hidden lunch time spot close to the river. We had the buffet and filled up on a few plates of everything from comfort foods to the nice selection of desserts that they offer on a daily basis. It was busy as its one of the main places in the area but still you were taken care very quickly and never ran out of drinks. Loved it and will be back!"
"one of the best buffet around here. I came all the way from Jacksonville. I keep coming here every time. There is no where else I rather be"
"Lovely little Italian restaurant in Green Cove Springs. Plenty of seating. Was not busy on a Tuesday night. Italian rolls were light and fluffy. Very tasty. Meal sizes are HUGE. Could easily feed 3 hungry people each. Service was quick and friendly. Not as fancy as Santionis, but honestly, I prefer this."
"Had the all you can eat wings and they were great! Many varieties were all cooked perfectly. Salad bar had all of our likings. We will be sure to return again. We love the small town feel pops has here. Thanks!"
"Although it's called BBQ buffet there was no BBQ on the buffet, but there were plenty of delicious options. There's a salad bar and ice cream, chocolate cake and 2 pudding options for dessert. My favorites were the fried chicken and lasagna! They were also making waffles and omelettes to order. Full bar and Coke products ( no Coke Zero). I had sweet tea which was good. Although you serve yourself, our server kept the drinks refilled and the plates removed. There are several TVs and 2 pool tables. Oh wait - forgot to menits only $16 for dinner and it includes your drink! Kids 10 & under are free (2 per adult). I'm shocked this place wasn't busier. It's a jewel!"
"So picture a dive bar has a baby with a Piccadilly buffet! That's this place and it's amazing. No frills-check, clean tables-check, friendly staff-double checkOne price and eat away! The fried chicken was amazing, Mac n cheese -delicious-corn bread, very good, green beans, green gotta eat something green. Wait.....gravy!!!You name it, it was on this country buffetThere was also a salad bar and a dessert area.If your coming for atmosphere head on past this strip mall country buffet, but if your coming for some delicious food this is the place. Now I did ask about the all over the place reviews and the waitress said they had been working out some kinks and it all good now.Our waitress was awesome and you don't pay extra for all the mismatched chairs. It's a place to definitely get your eat on."
"This is my first time here. You wait at the Hostess desk and she will seat you. At the end the Waitress will bring you your check. All went well. The food was very good. I tried a small amount of salad, fruits, shrimp, pot roast, and dessert. I opted for water. Today was holiday fee for dining $16.99. They gave me a senior discount of $1.00. I like that. The food items were very good, except I did not care for the egg roll. The line for the steak was too long, so I skipped it. I did go back for steak, but the cook for the steak might of gone on break.I left happy. Pros: food was a good temperature and taste. Waitress was very good. Cons:egg rolls did not taste good. Recommend? Yes"
"Updating multiple bad reviews, the food has made an astonishing recovery. First the good: Wing, dumplings, papaya salad, and the Hot n' Sour soup were all terrific. In fact that soup is the best I've had in recent memory, perfect amount of heat and twang, very few chunks of tofu. The shrimp looked fresh and they were oversized, the salad bar is excellent with fresh fruit and Iceberg lettuce which seems to be in short supply these days. They had trout on the hot bar and it was also excellent. \Now for the bad: Service is still awful, paper plates only but real silverware is still employed, and no salt and pepper or Soy Sauce anywhere to be found. They do have tubs of soy sauce on the hot bar but its diluted down to 50% and is terrible, bring your own, that goes double for chili sauce, again once a staple here but nowhere to be found. Also the lunch hibachi is GONE, I asked a few people if it was still available for dinner and have no idea what their replies were, I'm guessing its still in service during dinner but who knows. All in all the food has had a major facelift and recommended. Don't miss the hot n sour soup."
"I was unexpectedly on this side of town and found this gem. Every bite was amazing. We had the beef stew and the oxtail. I will be making a special trip in the future to try some mote of this day island love"
"If you're really hungry and aren't expecting too much, it's an option. In other words, you get what you pay for here."
"I've been here for lunch before and was impressed. As a local upscale, excellent menu and wine list restaurant, it is a surprising gem in a rural neighborhood. This is probably why so many locals are here every few days and most tables have a bottle of wine accompanying their dinners. The atmosphere is casual without a hostess on the side where people are seated in the proper dining area, but the bar side is first come first serve with consistent regulars. We started at the bar and moved to the booth so my friend could see the local musician. That was an added bonus. The musician was Andrew Harvey and his music was soothing, sorta background, but yet made you want to sing along. The menu is large and varied. With classic gator for the tourists, escargot for the elites and salmon/steaks/wings for everyone else. Our food arrived timely from when we ordered, everything was exactly as ordered and we enjoyed gator nuggets, wings, salad, steak and veggies and I decided on a Salmon & Brie plate. Waitress checked on the table, drinks were refilled accordingly and the musician played requested music. All good! I recommend to others and even though it is one of the more upscale menus in the area, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Great for friends, groups, couples and hungry people!"
