"I'm going to start by saying I was born and raised in Los Angeles and then lived in San Diego for most of my time.I have a high bar for Mexican food, and this place nailed it. I could tell from the moment I walked in and saw the decor, stage, and menu. The food came out incredibly fast and was fresh/amazing. I had the Carne Asada plate and a margarita, both were home runs.It's a big open place, so everything is ordered at the counter. That's probably the only thing I was not thrilled with, but it still worked fairly well.Would highly recommend."

"I came here because it showed up in my google maps search for "fresh squeezed orange juice". You wouldn't think that would be hard to find in Florida but you'd be mistaken! Publix doesn't offer it for sale at all, for instance. I got that juice which was very delicious, and got a traditional American bacon and eggs breakfast with a large English muffin. Indeed I visited twice, ordering the same thing both times. I got my bacon well done, which is how I like it but I am sure they don't make it like that for everyone. Anyway they followed my directions to the letter and I was pleased. The second visit, the eggs and hash browns were slightly underdone but I was still happy. I'd go back again. Oh, and the service is as cheerful and as sunny as Florida itself. So you won't regret coming here at all. Great place. Wish I had one near where I live."

"FREE BEER TOMORROW!!!...and very delicious seafood served by friendly, cheerful staff in a fun local restaurant with a down-home country ambiance. Located on the St. Johns River across from the north side of Blount Island Marine Terminal, Chowder Ted's is a short, pleasant drive away from the traffic of Jacksonville. The first thing we noticed while waiting to be seated was how big all the servings are. We began with a pot to share of their namesake's chowder, and it lived up to it's name. (I'm glad it did because my name is Ted, too.) The chowder is in a spicy broth with big chunks of potato, clams, and tomato, and it's so good that next time I'm getting my own pot of it as a meal - yummy! There's a wide variety of appetizers, sandwiches, and entrees, including big cheeseburgers in case you came to a chowder house but don't like seafood.(WTF?) We settled on the fried flounder sandwich, which was delivered with a side of very tasty, freshly made coleslaw. The sandwich was piled high with 3 filets of perfectly fried, golden brown fish, so large it was hanging over the edges of the large bun. It was dressed with lettuce, tomato, and a very tasty sauce on the bun.The servers are so friendly, and the vibe inside is like a neighborhood restaurant full of regulars. Get over to Chowder Ted's right now!! They are open Tuesday through Saturday. You will be glad you came."

"Stumbled onto Crispy's by accident and loved the look and layout of the place. We came back the next day for some food and drinks midday on a Saturday.Place was quiet when we arrived, but definitely ramping up as we left. You can see this is a well established place for both locals and new comers.All the food we had came out well, especially the Laura Pizza. Drinks were on point and service was timely. Only tip I would suggest, keep the music going on a good volume level to keep the atmosphere. Otherwise, well done!!"

"OK, here we go.....I dislike writing negative reviews, but this was my honest experience. It was my first time eating here (four ppl total).What started out as a positive experience quickly went downhill due to the unacceptable time it took to actually eat. I can't really blame the staff for that as this seems like an ongoing issue after reading the reviews on Yelp and other platforms. I'm very hesitant to return.They do have solid sandwiches here and an extensive menu with plenty of options for everyone and ample portions, too. We came here simply because my mom wanted a BLT and I saw a friend's picture on FB of the BLT she and her mom ate here. The amount of bacon in The LTD (their version of the BLT) was ridiculous in a good way, but shouldn't have taken an hour for my mom to get it and eat.My steak wrap (TR7) was very tasty and recommended by my server along with the tater tots. The sauces added a nice dimension. My brother had the double country fried steak plate with mashed potatoes and gravy with a side of green beans and he said it was good and plenty. Overall, the food was pretty good and the atmosphere was adorable with a clever car themed menu and decor. Plenty of seating. However, management may need to address the execution of service and be more aware of the customers. We were there for an hour before we received any of our food except for my sister's chili and although our waitress kept apologizing about the wait, a simple explanation of WHY it was taking so long for our food while other customers at tables who came after us, ordered after us and were served way before us (they actually finished eating and even got their bill) would have gone a long way. I now understand others' utter frustration dining here. It's not a matter of being short staffed when other tables mentioned were served and finished with their lunch. It's a matter of awareness. What a shame because I wanted to like this place."
