"Great service, food arrived quickly. I always grab the Dungeness special, it's enough food for 2 people.i find it odd this restaurant has only a 3.8 star rating, considering my visit was absolutely perfect"
"First time visiting the General Public House. We walked in on Saturday around 5pm. Plenty of available seats. Nice laid back atmosphere. Our waitress was extremely pleasant and fun to talk to. We tried the BLT spread which was delicious. The bread for the spread was ok but the waitress let us know they are trying out a couple different options for the bread to go with that spread. We also go the lobster bisque and that was phenomenal. For dinner we ordered the prosciutto stuffed chicken (it was a big portion) and also ordered the redfish dinner. The fish and chicken were cooked to perfection. We finished it off with the peanut butter pie! Great date night out and we will be back."

"Well I did a thing today! Pete's Bar turned 90. It's always nice to attend a Birthday Party of someone or thing older than you. My memories of Pete's go back to the days of when Jacksonville was dry on Sunday the beaches were wet. When the Rite Spot was Pete's neighbor and beer was always cold at Pete's.So today they celebrate turning 90 after a couple of weather related delays. The weather did not disappoint. The crowd was large with numerous vendors and a stage outside. Inside folks were playing pool and enjoying the ambiance that Pete's is known for!Cheers Pete's to memories that have lasted a life time!"
"Looking for the cliche Florida coastal crab boil restaurant. Hurrican Patty's filled the need - as if it came out of a movie. It's off the road, on the marina docking bay = picture perfect. They're open later than other places, which was mainly what we were looking for. Shop owners eat later than the tourists. #factsWe walked around the venue before entering and loved the entire water "bay vibe". The restaurant has a wrap around walking dock / deck with an outside bar, table seating, and live music all on the backside. On the front side of the venue is the entrance, and an outdoor table seating patio. Upon entering, you have to wait to be seated by the hostess. This has a very Joe's Crab Shack meets pirates ambiance without the "restaurant chain" feel. Our service was quick, semi friendly, and to the point. Our server gal took care of us, had a smile, but was not hovering - and that's what we expected. A total cliche server experience. The "Painkiller" drink I ordered was stiff and DARN yummy! The price was right, not over priced. I would have preferred a top shelf rum and no ice. Next time I'll ask. They have the crab boil special on Saturdays.I didn't know about the social when I chose this venue for our food adventure Night. The price was great as we happened to go on a Saturday. I also pre-gamed signed up for their email list on their website and got a coupon for a shrimp appetizer emailed to me. Woop!I've never had anything "oyster" before. (Being from Vegas, it's not something you order when there... I would recommend it.) We ordered the oyster sampler. We also ordered the shrimp and grits for next day breakfast / lunch. Sunday chill day pre-gaming.!The shrimp appetizer was buttery and light. It's a perfect starter for two. I recommend it.The oysters were steamed well, but I wasn't a fan of ALL the flavors on platter. The oyster and lobster was so F-ing good. I'd order just that next time. The crab bucket was on point. YES! I would prefer more seasoning, but I'm not mad at it. This is large enough to share. Great for 2 people if you have an appetizer. The shrimp and grits were darn good.I felt the grits were a little undercooked, but I didn't mind because the next day I heated them up in a pot with some milk and butter and they were bomb AF!!!!!!I can imagine, though, people WOULD complain "the grits are undercooked".I took home the sausage from my crab boil. Sliced them up and cook them the next day - adding them to my grits for a PERFECT no cook Sunday meal. Nom nom.I would highly recommend hHurricane Patty's as a venue to take people to, especially on a Friday or Saturday evening when there is live music outside. The prices were very reasonable.Don't expect five star service. Expect your meal served to you - you might get a smile. I'm okay with that because, it's a Marina restaurant... Up in the cut.The food IS surprisingly good. The atmosphere is awesome! I would imagine dinner at sunset would be very chill and romantic.REASONS TO VISIT: 1. Location2. Plenty of Parking3. Ambiance4. Overall Venue5. Reasonable Prices6. Decent Food7. Decent Drinks"
"Came here to eat with my car club and the food was great. Nothing is super complicated here but the prices are chefs kiss. I don't think anyone in my group had a tab over $20. The waitress was super nice and did well with handling our party of 7. Food came out very quickly and the orders were all correct and hot.We sat outside and they had fans blowing while we enjoyed the breeze. The portion sizes are great and it wasn't very busy which gave our group a more intimate vibe. Overall I enjoyed the visit and would come back."
"I originally wanted to try their tacos in a bag but had no idea Obscura Social House only served breakfast only until 2pm and wouldn't have the tacos until 6pm. Went with the breakfast taco options instead. They sell out of items so come early if you can! By just before noon lots of things were already out and I think I got the last bit of steak. I enjoyed their coffee drink options, lots of fun themes and they go all out to make them very unique. I thought about doing the cookies and scream with oreo and cookie crumbles but did not want cold brew coffee. Instead opted for their take on matcha with a vampires blood drizzle in the cup! The decor is fun and spooky, could be great around Halloween time. Lots of horror film posters around for fun pictures."
"The food was fantastic! Soo good and healthy for you! I had the Bowl with black beans, yellow rice, a dollop of guac and Pico De guiyo. Sorry spelling for the Pico?!!Anyway the plaintans were excellent. Outstanding food assistance and the presentation was beautiful before I dove in. Took a good portion home for lunch tomorrow!! My friend had the rice, beans and the plaintans!!! So good! We were celebrating our b-days!! Can't wait to go back soon to Havana Jax!!!"
"I haven't been here since I moved from FL 12 years ago! But I used to be a regular, so, naturally when I was coming back to the beach, I had to stop here! It was exactly how I remembered! Food was absolutely delicious & oh so fresh! The table split oysters, crawfish, loaded potatoes, and key lime pie. Nothing disappointed! Cocktails were good also. I'll be back & it won't take me 12 years this time!"
"This is a place with a good atmosphere to come with the family. Every time I've been here I haven't had any complaints. The employee who served me today was super mega friendly. I ordered some shrimp tacos, theywere delicious and very well seasoned. But I think if there was cabbage instead of lettuce, it would have given the taco a crunchy touch. My husband ordered fish and fries, but he ordered them with sweet potato; I tried one of them, it blew my mind, they are the best sweet potato I've ever tasted, sweet and crunchy, not greasy at all."
"Beautiful Roof top bar!! We stopped in for a drink and the view is killer! It seems like this is a brand new building? You valet your car ( only option?) walk in go up the elevator to the top and wow so pretty! It was packed up there, lots of people coming and going but we got drinks pretty fast the server was great and hustlin, drinks are quite expensive ($12-20 per drink) but your kinda paying for the ambiance too I guess.I really liked my drink it was delish!"
"Great service and food, also great view!! Server , Alura, was attentive and friendly. Fish sandwich was great, band good too!"
"This is my second time in this establishment. Tonight (8/24/24) is the first time ordering a cocktail (Old Fashion) that took a minute to order. Not again. It was the weakest OF I've EVER had. The music (R&B) however is cool."

The service was okay, had our menus from a lady whom was eating food and licked her fingers.... Asked for new menus, she refused to do it. We had to ask somebody else and our server was nice. For food, we got a pound of snow crab legs with half pounds of head off shrimps (didn't really take off the heads good) with half pound of sausage. No complaints on sausage or crab legs. And the flavor we chose was all the above which included all the flavors and the spicy level was medium. I'm not a fan of spicy but this kind of spicy is exactly what I like!! Very excellent. Hoping to come back at this specific location to better service but other than that, the food was bomb!! The review was 3.8 and I honestly can't not agree with it. I'll give it 4.

I agree with the overall Yelp rating of 3.8 stars. We went here for our office Christmas party. The decor was festive, and our group of over 20 was able to sit together. Right off the bat, our server listed about 5 things on the menu that they were out of that evening. However, everything that I wanted was on the menu. The appetizers were tasty. I tried a bite of the bruschetta, which included heirloom tomatoes and beets, for a unique twist. I also had their cornbread which was super yummy. For dishes I had four sides since I'm a vegetarian, and they didn't really have any veggie-friendly main entrees that I could see. I had sautéed garlic spinach, jalapeño creamed corn, Mac & cheese, and grilled asparagus. The Mac & Cheese wasn't anything to write home about, but the veggies were cooked to perfection and very nicely seasoned. My favorite was the jalapeño creamed corn. Some of colleagues who ordered steak or grilled chicken said that the grilled part tasted like chemicals like the grill hadn't been cleaned properly. My husband said his Ahi tuna steak with garlic risotto and sautéed spinach was very tasty. Overall, I think this was a good pick for our office celebration.

My family and I went in for the first time today for lunch! I got the fajita bowl, my husband got the taco and quesadilla plate, and my daughter got a kids burrito plate! All the portions were very generous, including the kids plate, which looked like an adult serving. Everybody enjoyed their food, it was delicious. The service was excellent. The restaurant looked very clean, and the music was fun. We will definitely be back.

This place is a Haven for anyone who wants to be part of the fighting game community. Has really cool gaming set ups, amazing food, and great people! Highly recommend.I got the tofu rice bowl and the rice was so warm and sticky. Next time I go there, I'm going to try the Ramen. This place also is open pretty late and has hookah if you're into that.

Midnights and cafe con leches for us both during a quick lunch while out running errands. Quick service on a quiet Monday afternoon, sandwiches and coffee both hit the spot.

Friends invited us out to try this restaurant on Valentine's Day which normally I wouldn't recommend cause they would be crazy busy, but we got a late night reservation and came in. Our server was excellent! Really welcoming and sweet, which I loved. Now to the food, it was delicious! Everything we tried I liked! I ended up doing their valentines special which was an app, entree and dessert for $40.Loved the crab stuffed shrimp, loved the chicken dish, chicken cooked perfectly! Not dry at all! Dessert was good. Would definitely come back to try more!

"This place gained new local ownership about 4 months ago ... the result is outstanding... it's a great beach bar vibe and restaurant... they have made it super clean, eliminated poor bar smells that plagued previous ownership reviews...Great menu... outstanding TV viewing... cold beer... and OUTSTANDING food...I had a custom burger with Swiss cheese, mushrooms, and candied bacon, cooked to order MR to perfection... side of delicious onion rings... the bacon is ridiculously delicious in itself.. burger was huge, fresh, awesome seasoning, nice large bun which held together well to eat the burger with ease... tremendous lunch and satisfying a hungry guy! They have tons of indoor seating both in dining room and a huge bar as well as a large outdoor covered area... my bartender took extremely good care of me and ensured I didn't have any needs...The new ownership really got it right and deserves great local support... They are also very dog friendly as well.So... go enjoy a great meal and let's keep the new ownership and employees busy... you won't regret it... obviously... highly recommended"
"Went for Thursday Night trivia which was fun for a friends birthday party. We played and dinned on the outside terrace which was very nice. They provided space heaters and the entertainment was great. Service was good, but we did have issues trying to get drinks and I believe they were short staffed or not use to a bigger crowd for trivia this week. The burrito was small for $14. Casa Maria Burritos are twice the size with amazing taste. This burrito lacked appeal along with taste. 2/10. The chips were good but some had so much salt/seasoning that it had to be brushed off. Nit a huge fan of their food but trivia was fun and saying that I'd probably come back only for the entertainment."
"Would not recommend. Party of four, lunch. Our waiter was nice, but he messed up with one order. Ok not a big deal. Moved-on. All of us ordered wedding soup and that was mediocre in a vey little bowl, which is probably good because i think it would be left. Then everybody had a half of sandwich, each if us picked different. All of us were not happy, a lot of bread (not fresh) and not enough meat. Dry and tasteless. Perhaps their dinner menu is better, who knows, but i am not going to come back."
"I'm not sure why Q Ball Billiards only has 3-stars. I've been here a couple of times and I've always had fun. On this trip I was on a date. We started at another venue but decided we wanted to shoot some pool.We were greeted as soon as we walked through the door. We went to the bar and received our balls and table assignment. They asked to hold an ID as they want to make sure you don't skip out on paying. I can't blame them as people are so bold these days. The pool table was very nice and in good condition. There was ample seating and tables for our drinks. We played two games and I had two Blue Moons, and the total was roughly $22. Not a bad price. If you like to shoot pool this is a great spot! They have many tables so unless there's a tournament, you shouldn't have to wait too long."
"Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. Same as my last visit we were blown away by the food. Menu was huge with all kinds of options. Opted for the fish sandwhich (no bread) and a huge filet came out on the plate! Nacho cheese was reported to be a little different than expected but still good. Service was stellar! Will def come back to try some other menu items!"
"This Thai restaurant is and always has been consistent and delicious whether you're dining in their lovely dining room or ordering takeout. They take extra care with the food they're serving and I really appreciate that."
"Hands down, more people told me to come here while I was in Jacksonville than anywhere else. I had high expectations, but it really wasn't all that. I mean, I guess it's kind of pretty to look at (and so was our bartender). This seems like more of a locals-only hangout than anything else. Everyone here looked like they were dressed by the same person. Wall-to-wall hipsters. That's not necessarily a bad thing. Just not my thing.I was told to get a martini here and that recommendation was right on the money. Delicious. Speaking of money, they're not cheap, but less than $10 is still better than most places in Atlanta."
"They open at 5 and apparently all the locals with a drinking issue know and show up for the "good drinks" ! There was a line of AARP folks needing some liquid courage. Me, I came for food. The burger was delicious and cooked perfectly The fries were also hot and tastyThis place has been around for a bazillion years so go read up.If you stay north of the dinner menu, you can have a nice evening out without breaking the budget, go south and it's pricey! But drink some of those famous drinks and you won't care about the prices. The restaurant has a dated feel and could definitely use a facelift, but if your all dranked up, it don't matter!"
"I was heading into St. Augustine today and someone had recommended this place to me for a good place t o eat. They were right. The restauarant has a varied menu with appetizers, salads, sandwiches, breakfast items, burgers and entrees. I had seen a picture of the Gypsy House Salad and it looked good so I figured I would give it a try. It comes with green leaf lettuce, carrots, red cabbage, tomato, cucumber, red onions, olives, hard boiled egg, house made croutons, garbanzo beans, pepperoncini's, and Swiss cheese. I added blackened chicken to the salad and had the house dressing. The salad looked great and tasted even better. Service from Kelly was friendly and quick. The ambiance has a black and gold color scheme, as well as many colorful art items on the walls for sale."
"I like dive bars cuz you never know what to expect. This lounge is walking distance from the Hilton and they have. A drive through liquor store attached to it !! DOPE! It's attached to a motel so it always has people in it. I like it it's pretty chill and the prices are cool. For a local bar walking distant from the other 3 hotels near by it's a dope spot to check out."
"SERVICE / AMBIANCE: We walked in around 4PM on a Friday and were sat right away. We were given the lunch menu so I guess they were still serving lunch. FOOD: I ordered the Sangria which was very refreshing and would recommend. We ordered the Buffalo Wings as an appetizer. I didn't quite like these as the flavor was different than a typical Buffalo flavor. Sadly, my husband got a bloody wing and we were done eating the appetizer after that... My husband ordered the Lobster Roll with a side of Bay Chips. He loved it so much he ate his entire plate. Needless to say, he would recommend this dish. I ordered the Smashburger with fries. I asked for no pickle or onion and still got the pickle and onion on my burger. The Smashburger wasn't anything special in general and was quite thick for a Smashburger patty. The fries were tasty however."
"If you are like me, you probably depend on reviews, but don't leave enough of them yourself. Maybe it's time we all change that. In this case it is a five star burger a super cool location and great service that remind me how important it is to leave reviews that might help others. My octogenarian parents, myself and my 20 something. Daughter stopped here on our way back from Silver Springs. Mom's knees and the hot day kept us from enjoying the amazing top side but downstairs inside we got our first experience of the District. My daughter got the mac & cheese, which was fine but honestly, the description made it sound more flavorful than it actually was. My father mother and I got the district Burger, which was on special that night for $10. This burger at the regular price of $16 would be excellent but at $10 it was out of this world. Very juicy with wonderful flavor. My daughter also had a Lavender Haze and it was excellent as well. Beer list is boring, but they have the requisite list of styles. This is a place that I will visit when I am in the Ocala area."
"Doing some day drinking on St. George Street and heard tunes coming from this upstairs venue, so we decided to climb the dark stairway and check it out right in the middle of a rendition of "Brandy" (Looking Glass) circa 1972 this guy was killing it. We went left into the tree house side since the bar was filled and found a two top next to a translucent window. Our server wasted no time greeting us and dropped off a few food menus as we explored the drink selections from the plastic placard. We chose a Purple Lollipop and a Vodka Mule, they arrived in a chilled draft glass and were so refreshing and very alcoholic - the acoustics are great, the service was attentive but maybe a little over-focused being this place only had a few customers, his interaction was strictly business but that was okay we were only here for one drink and a few songs, he did lighten up after I convinced him I didn't need change and yes I am over-tipping you on purpose (finally a grin).I'd return, it's a great place to escape the sun and humidity and to listen to some good live music, the talent was happy to pose for a picture after I dropped a Alexander Hamilton in his tip jar..."
"Frequent here! Always a good time! Good service, good people. I was craving a burger and they delivered."
"A wonderful experience at Coop 303! This area of Jax Beach is so cute, filled with a ton of walkable shops and restaurants. It was the weekend so it was quite packed, and most of the restaurants had over an hour wait. Fortunately, we walked into Coop 303 at the right time because the three of us were able to be seated right away.Service was fantastic! The menu is small, but filled with delicious options. We had to start with the Peaches & Cream - fried green tomatoes, burrata cheese, peach jam, and a mustard balsamic reduction. We also ordered the baked oysters, and as my main I went with the Coop 303 Fried Chicken Basket - 48 hour dill pickle brined. Incredible and so juicy! The truffle parmesan tater tots were the perfect side along with garlic mashed potatoes. If you didn't already know, I'm a potato girly. Hope to make it back here again for another delicious dinner!"
"We were staying at the hotel for a football game and didn't arrive until later in the afternoon. After settling in after a long day, we went downstairs and decided to grab some food and drinks. We were to we could sit wherever we want, so we grabbed a seat. Mia showed up rather quick, with a huge smile. Very friendly and did a wonderful job. We started with a couple of drinks, quite good, many times a hotel bar just does basic beers/wine, and easy drinks with mixers. We were pleasantly surprised, great drinks. We both ordered the brisket. I will say it's a huge portion of food. The downside, the brisket was very fatty, it didn't taste bad, and I wasn't expecting the most amazing thing ever, but it was so/so. The table next to us had the same thing and loved it. Maybe we just are spoiled as far as BBQ goes living around so many places devoted to only that. Other than that, we had a great time, great service, and fun atmosphere"
"When it comes to Mexican food, Casa Maria is the place to go. Their Wednesday specials are a steal, featuring any burrito for just $10. And if you're looking for a drink to go with your meal, Casa Maria has you covered with their daily happy hour deals, including buy-one-get-one margaritas served on the rocks or frozen. The burritos are overflowing with flavor and are sure to leave you feeling satisfied. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for large groups."
"The SG line was super long, so I did a search for coffee shops. After a few wrong turns, I finally found Bodega coffee. Super friendly and fellow yogi chatted me up and made my coffee. I'll be back! Coffee was bold and tasty. No line. Reasonably priced. Try it out. Happy sipping!"
"craving Mexican for so long and Salsas did not disappoint!I went for lunch and they have very affordable Monday through Friday lunch specials! I choose something off the special menu which was a shrimp burrito! it had onions, peppers and this yummy crème sauce. A wonderful rice and a little salad with guacamole. it was all huge and I took most home! The chips and salsa on the table where great as well!ohhhhhh and if you are in a rush this will be great! I think my meal was out in 5 minutes and fresh and hot!!!"
"This is our third visit, and definitely not our last. We came in on a Friday for happy hour, but noticed that the menu had changed from what was listed online. The options were more limited and none quite to our liking, so we opted for items from the regular menu instead.I've had their shrimp and grits before and enjoyed them, so this time I ordered the fish. It was still tasty, but I wish the protein portion was larger. My husband ordered the SKS cheesesteak, which was delicious, but then again, it would've been better with a bit more meat. Additionally, the hoagie bread felt a bit stale when you break it, the pieces don't stick together and it's slightly dry.We also requested that our drinks be served with our food, but unfortunately, they arrived after we had almost finished eating.Overall, we'll definitely be back, but likely for brunch, as we had a more enjoyable experience during our last visit."
"This place was amazing the crabs and oysters delicious how to write juicy crab a 1 million star"
"Been driving by for awhile now and finally decided to stop by. We were sat quickly and our server Asia came soon after seating to take drink orders. She was very helpful when asking questions about items on the menu. My daughter got the pulled pork sandwich and my boyfriend aand I shared the Texas trinity platter. Delicious all the way around. If he was hotter we would have sat outside but the inside dinner area was nice as well. My daughter loved the hair spray and sewing kit in the ladies room lol."
"This is a Westside townie bar with the package store attached. Rolan there on any given weekend night and you'll find 75 -100 pick up trucks scattered around the parking lot and the nearby businesses. The alternate DJs some are better than others you can expect to hear some country music and some fairly hard core dance that you would hear in a downtown club. Kind of funny to see a row of cowboy booted country boys shaking their asses to hard-core rap but you know, I guess it works. I find this bar to be incredibly smoky, they don't serve food so if people smoke in there and it is way too smoky for me. They have an OK selection of alcohol, two or three adequate bartenders. Literally if you were going to look for a bar from maybe like that old movie roadhouse, this is it. Despite the fact that it's full of rednecks and pick up trucks I have yet to see a fight. There's always a few of the rental girls from Lane Avenue hanging out by the pool tables in case you're interested. Drinks are kind of expensive for a Westside bar in the middle of nowhere but interestingly this place draws a crowd from all over Jacksonville, I don't know how or why but it does. Only reason I go there is that I can pretty much walk home if I needed to."
