"Monroe's Smokehouse on the Westside is finger licking good!If I were a betting lady, I would bet this is, by far, the best place In town!I used to live on the Southside by the other location, and have been there a few times, but this one is top notch!Funny side note....I first initially went to Monroe's because I thought the sign said Monroe's Steakhouse....glad I stayed!Restaurant is clean, big, and has several tables to meet the need of the customers. Staff is friendly and accommodating...and food is fresh and hot!Parking.....eeeekkkkk they are so good, parking can be a problem. But give it a second and you will find a park. As we entered, we jumped in line and started the process of ordering. We went on a Friday...so you know we had to get the smoked meatloaf. But we also got the Burnt ends platter with 2 sides. Make sure you look on the specials board....they don't list everything in the menu.The meatloaf was the Friday special, and it did not disappoint! It was smoked perfectly with a nice crust and smoky flavor! The burnt ends were crunchy with the perfect amount of tenderness in the middle!Hours are limited and closed on Sundays....so get there when you can.Fridays are open late!Can't wait to go again!"

"Wow! Salt Springs is the best roadside eats place around.Located along Hwy 19, Salt Springs is a pass through town in the middle of the Ocala National Forest when traveling to visit many of the amazing springs around.Papa Joes Drive In is a great stop to grab some grub on your way too or fro your daily adventure.Very COVID friendly as it is a drive in with a nice area to sit and eat situated away from the building where people come to order.The staff is super friendly and incredibly helpful. The woman who was working gave us great suggestions and honest feedback that we were offering way too much food (which ended up being fine, because the leftovers were great later even cold). WARNING: If you are looking for a healthy, diet conscious meal, this review does not cover that.We got the smoked pork sandwich, a cheeseburger and the Redneck Fries. All for under $20 with tip.First of all, the fries are the bomb! Crisp fresh fries smothered in smoked pulled pork and cheese sauce and served with BBQ sauce. They were a meal in themselves. A sinful delight.The smoked pork and burger were smoked in an onsight smoker which gave that delicious outdoor BBQ taste that you don't often get from restaurants. Simple, but delicious, both were nothing fancy, but top notch. The burger has crisp lettuce and a fresh slice of tomato to finish it off. After the fries and burger, we had no room left for the smoked pork sandwich. But, my husband at it cold the next morning (we were camping), and it was absolutely delicious.This isn't fast food. They cook everything to order. But, it sure is good food."

"My roommate is friends with the owner's daughter, and she highly recommended this truck to me, since she knows I love my food trucks. They come regularly to my work, so when I saw they were coming one day and I had no lunch, I decided to try them out. They also follow me on Instagram, so I wanted to give back for the love they give me on there. After vieiwing the menu, I decided to go with the Mac Daddy brisket, which comes with brisket, mac and cheese, and chips. The owner immediately recognized my name and started talking to me about my job, how I was doing, and was happy that I was finally able to make it out to the truck. The food came out immediately, and it was delicious! I love the buttery taste of the brisket and how smoothly you are able to cut through the meat. The mac and cheese was extra cheesy and you could tell it was homemade, not processed. The chips were crispy and probably didn't help with the other carbs I had in the pasta, but that is okay. I give a thumbs up and will be back soon!"

"Terrel's BBQ is where our family gets bbq when we don't want to fire up the grill or smoker at home. It. Is. Delicious. The ribs are pretty tender and the sauce is finger smacking good! On those weekends you don't wanna cook and you need something flavorful to hit your lips and tummy just right, head to Terrel's.They are also on point with the sides. My parents are picky and haven't had a stray word to say about these delicious sides yet... Southern collards, delicious green beans my son loves, the real southern style potato salad, baked beans...can't miss! Their desserts are bangin... Just GO!... and being me some!"

"This was our first time here and the wait time was a bit excessive but overall it was OK. Not a lot of places to sit while you wait so sitting outside can be very hot.I think with regard to Service, it would be beneficial if the server would explain the process a little bit more clearly and what should be done. I had been to a place like this 15 years ago when I lived in California, and my friend had never been to one. I did not realize that they had the sauces, for example on the side, which would've made a tremendous difference for the chicken! Overall, the experience was ok but if you don't like being in a place with lots of heat from the grill and the steam from the soup bowl in front of you this place is not for you. . It was exceptionally hot and we were sweating as much as the weight staff who hustle and bustle big time.Overall, for the two of us, the bill was $90, which was a little excessive for what we received and what we understood. Should I go again? I would look at it differently and probably not do nearly as much of the soup."

The chicken and brisket were moist and flavorful, while the ribs were dry-rubbed and perfectly cooked. The collard greens were spicy and delicious, but the sweet potato fries were a bit overcooked. Overall, it was a solid barbecue spot with a variety of sauces to try. Be warned, XXX has ghost peppers, so you might feel the heat! :)!"

"I was glad to see that woodland put a location closer to me and was a standalone location. Several coworkers have eaten here since they opened a couple weeks ago. People talk highly of woodland's burgers, and they did not disappoint. The burger was amazing, corn nuggets were good too. Very clean has been open about three weeks, I believe. Very friendly staff. For a small town like Archer, this definitely is a good thing, and there's a short drive from gainesville, and so worth it. We will be back out here soon."

The flavor and tenderness was spot on and when paired with the homemade pickled onions made it almost healthy! :) But truly, I love the extra pop from the onions and the soft potato roll held it all together. I appreciate that everything is served on the side so I came pick and choose how I want to build my sandwich. It's a plus for my picky eaters as well. My daughter had the smoked Turkey and said it was the best she's ever had. Full of flavor and she said she, "didn't have to chew it. It melted in her mouth."Great customer service, too. "My husband loves American BBQ, so upon seeing the post of fellow Yelper James D., we immediately made a plan to visit them.The place is huge! You order at the counter and they will call your name to deliver the food to your table. We both ordered briskets and collard greens. The brisket was tasty although a tad dry. My husband also got their ribs and potato salad, and I had chicken plus green beans. We both agreed that all their sides tasted fresh and delicious! I also enjoyed my chicken, flavorful and juicy! If any restaurant has bread pudding, we are going to order it! And Brisky's version did not disappoint! It was a little sweeter than I usually like, but still incredibly tasty. Maybe I'll ask for the caramel to be on the side next time. Perfect way to end our yummy lunch!"

I get the BBQ sauce on the side because I believe the sauce may dilute the smokey flavor of the pork. Plenty of food for what I paid. I eat half and eat the other half the next day for lunch. I save money and I don't overindulge. Win-win! 2) Grilled Chicken Stew with fried plantains. I don't want to describe it. It's that good!The mayo sauce that they include reminds me of the shrimp sauce served in Japanese / Chinese restaurants. It goes well with the tostones, but I also use it with the pulled pork. "Last night was my first time at Cross Creek. Went for a birthday celebration and they were easily able to accommodate a party of 20 with a reservation which was nice! I ordered the country fried steak which came with 2 sides- I got mashed potatoes with brown gravy (brown gravy on my steak too) and country green beans. Overall everything tasted great! Potatoes were yummy, gravy didn't necessarily taste homemade but it was still good and they didn't skimp on the gravy! The country fried steak had good flavor but wasn't as crispy as I wouldn't liked. The breading was falling off which is kind of the whole point of the dish. The steak itself was a little thicker than I like for my CFS which made it harder to cut and more tough. Overall it was still good and I enjoyed it. Service was a bit slow but that's to be expected with such a large party. I don't mind waiting for our food when we have a group that big. My only complaint is that half the table had their entrees while the other half were just getting their salads to start. Some of us had to wait quite awhile for our drinks and refills. There were two servers working our party and I know they were running around a lot so I do appreciate their hard work. They have 2-4-1 drinks all day everyday!"

"My daughter said this is the best gyro she's ever had. The pita bread was super fresh and the meat is good. My husband said the Italian beef is the best he has ever had. He is an Italian beef connoisseur. The sweet peppers were amazing, dipped to perfection and you can tell it's homemade. I had the cheese fries and the cheese was good on top of the fries. Everything was BURNING hot and FRESH! So glad we tried it. Our daughter just started going to college in St. Augustine and we will be out here a lot and this will be our go-to spot. The customer service was superb and you can tell they are passionate about their food. They were so excited for us to try their food and honestly they had every right to be. Honestly, amazing food. The ambiance is so nice. The seating is nice and there was live music. My family loved every moment here."

Beautifully smoked, chopped up nuggets of porky goodness served on a couple of slices of toasted white bread. We ordered a 2-meat dinner combo, ribs and chopped pork with sides of their collard greens and baked beans. Big fall off the bone goodness! I prefer pulled pork, but the chopped pork was pretty good too. We also ordered the half chicken sandwich. More like an open face, but the chicken was the rotisserie kind. I was a little disappointed because I was expecting barbecue chicken. Good sauces! Dipped that rotisserie chicken and it's like barbecue. Plenty of food for little price. You can get a chicken sandwich with chips and a drink for $3.99. Good deal!"
