Brick Restaurant

I love Avondale and the Brick Restaurant is one of my favorite stops when I visit the shops. First, the atmosphere is casual and friendly, they have outdoor seating and occasionally, there's live music. I've never had poor service here as all of the servers have been friendly and accommodating. As a former MeetUp host, I'd work with restaurant managers to organize our weekly dinners. The manager of the Brick was amazing when working with our large group. Finally, the food is delicious.......!!! I'm always impressed when restaurants serve food made in house, including the salad dressings and the Brick does not disappoint! I actually crave their food if I haven't visited for awhile!I'm giving it a four rating because is does get quite loud at night and it's hard to hear your table mates when that happens......During the day and early evening, it's perfect!

I loved the kale salad with salmon and I do not eat kale ever. This is the first kale salad I loved and actually devoured. The dressing was a perfect accent to the kale. Thank you for changing my mind about kale.I went to lunch on a Friday and no wait. Love how the way sitting is set up, no one on top of anyone. Service was fantastic, requested a cocktail and received it right away with no waiting. Was absolutely shocked. Server was so pleasant and very attentive.

Really enjoyed this new restaurant I came across. Thanks Yelp for helping me find it :) Came here on Tuesday for some appetizers and drinks. We ended up ordering for the table Crab cakes , spinach dip, wedge salad, and a regular cheeseburger with provolone cheese. Crab cakes were really good! The sauce was drenched in the crab cakes because the saucier the better right! Spinach dip didn't really wow me, I will say some bread with the spinach dip might have made it a better touch. The wedge salad was delish. The burger was cooked at perfect temperature. Juicy and flavorful. The bartender has also made me a delicious white sangria, but for a tequila drinker I was slightly sad they didn't have Casamigos . Our server Christian gave outstanding service and was super attentive. He needs a raise because we ended up being so full and still ordering dessert. Let's face it sometimes we always have room for something sweet . Crème Brûlée was the choice we went with. Overall I will be back to try other items on the menu. I enjoyed the low lighting ambience and the vibe it gave. It's a really nice neighborhood so I will definitely be back .

We love going to the Brick for family celebrations but also just a lunch date too. I was craving the tuna wontons and they didn't disappoint. Typically I get the steak salad which is also great. The staff is always friendly and I love to sit outside when the weather is warm.

Outstanding food and service at Brick's! Our server was very attentive and was super sweet! The food was fresh and very delicious. The ambience was a relaxed & causal. Please note: Make sure to make reservations and to get there a bit earlier to find street parking because it maybe a challenge depending at the time you go.

Stopped here for the first time and wow this place is really nice inside, cool atmosphere. Shannon our server was top-notch and very friendly and courteous..Thank You Shannon. Overall the food was average at our table. I had the blackened mahi mahi and it was good. My wife had the wedge salad with crab cake, unfortunately the wedge lettuce was discolored and looked "not so" appetizing. Crab cake was good. Our friend had the French Dip with fries and really enjoyed it. Next time we visit, I would like to try the wagyu burger..a local mentioned this was their favorite item at Brick. Thankfully the amaze-ball service Shannon provided will keep this on the list for a next time.

My best friend and I went here for brunch. I love the vibe and ambiance of this place and the service was amazing. We both order the salmon and calamari. The calamari was decent, but wow, the salmon was delicious! One of the best salmon I've had by far in Jacksonville. The flavor was amazing. You can taste the smokeless flavor of the salmon. Not overly cooked, just perfection. The kale salad was yummy! Squeezing the lemon on it made it even better. Good vibes. Good food. And great for people watching. Love this place.

Cool restaurant, great vibe for a nice dinner! Parking can be a little challenging, but with some patience, you can do it! Clean and spacious inside. Friendly front host. Tonight on a Thursday around 8 pm, for a party of four, there was no wait time. The restaurant was busy, but not extremely crowded. Our waiter, James, was ok. He was quick, friendly, and attentive. All of our orders came out accurately, except for one of them. We don't like sending plates back to the kitchen, so we just dealt with it since it was something minor.The waiter did noticed the mistake, but we were already done with our plates. He apologized, we didn't make a big deal about it! The food was very good, fresh ingredients, awesome flavor, great seasoning.

Whenever people can't decide where to eat, we hit The Brick. Atmosphere always pleasing indoors and out. I got my fav, shrimp and grits. I'm be been coming here for years and it has never disappointed. The bowl, a friend had, and she agreed.. amazing. The seaweed and mango meld well together giving it an exotic flavor. What else can I say other than...git to tha Brick

I got s customized chicken rice bowl. Just grilled chicken, jasmine rice, ginger sauce, steamed broccoli, and a couple peppers. PERFECT. Chicken was good and trustworthy - not all rubbery and nasty like you find in a lot of restaurants. Broccoli was beautifully steamed - I hate when it's hard and undertone. For $17, I can't think of a better quasi-healthy meal!Service by Laura (Lauren? Sorry) was also top-notch!
