Stopped in with the family because they wanted Peruvian roasted chicken. Not exactly a wide range of options in the area. We ordered the whole chicken combo with avocado salad and fries. We were doing to order chichi morado. The printed menu in front of us showed a price of $2.99 but showed up as $4.68 on the POS screen. I questioned why the difference and the woman pointed to the large menu screen above and said the price had increased. I said the beverages on the menu screen were actually the only items that didn't show a price. She said it was a mistake. Not sure why this is a common theme among Peruvian restaurants in Florida. I see the price on the Google Menu shows $4.16 but still not what they're charging. We opted for bottled water and was charged and were told $1.30 per bottle but were charged $4.68. Coincidence it was the same price as the chichi morado? Again no printed price for the water so who knows. The avocado salad was actually pretty fresh. The French fries which are sold as a side for $8 were pretty skimpy. I mean fries are cheap and most places will give a pile of them The chicken was OK (definitely had better) but the chicken was a bit on the anorexic side. The haucatay sauce was pretty good but the chinichuri was lacking for sure. Was disappointed based on the reviews versus the reality.

Had an itch for Peruvian food and decided to give Brazas Chicken a try. Located inside a shopping center, parking is plentiful. It's a small little restaurant that seats about 15-20 people. I was greeted once I got in with a list of what they didn't have. One of which was Rotisserie Chicken...?!?? They ran out and were 45 minutes away from having more chicken ready. Well luckily I wasn't in the mood for chicken but many people walked in and out while we waited due to no chicken. Wife and I ordered the Pollo Saltado, Jalea Mixta and Papa a la Huancaina. Wife enjoyed her Pollo Saltado and I noticed the potatoes were hand cut and they purposely separated them from the sauce so they don't get soggy and allow you to mix it yourself. My Jalea Mixta was a large portion. I knew immediately I was going to have leftovers. It came with Yuca Frita. All the fried seafood tasted fresh and it was lightly battered which was nice. The Papa a la Huancaina was also plentiful and delicious. Portions overall were a good amount. I will note that the prices were higher than noted on the menu which were a little off pudding but I felt better once I saw the portions. Staff was really nice and attentive. They came over several times to check on us. And I was also impressed at how clean and nice the bathrooms were. Overall it scratched my Peruvian itch. Them being out of their namesake food item and prices being off was a bummer but the quality of the food made up for some of those errors. I would come back when in St Augustine and recommend to others.

Great food, fast and friendly service. Probably seating for 20 or less. Feels like more of a takeout place but regardless, the food they are serving up is excellent. 2:00 on a Saturday and every seat was full. Chicken was well seasoned, perfectly prepared, and juicy. We saw a couple of special orders come out - one was a fried rice type dish with octopus and shrimp - Arroz chaupa. Another was a steak with peppers and onions served with rice and fries. I'd definitely come back to try the fish as well.

One thing my family and I sorely miss from home is good Peruvian chicken & sweet plantains. So after finding out my son's Sensei was Peruvian, I quickly asked him if he had any recommendations for good Peruvian chicken. I could not be more thankful for his recommendation. The juicy chicken was packed with flavor all the way down to the bone and their sweet plantains was a delicious way to cap off the meal. We also had their sweet potato fries, but sadly that did not survive the ride home as we were famished, but they too were amazing. =)Thanks Brazas Chicken & we look forward to seeing you again very soon.

Tucked in a plaza near Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine is this small and quaint Peruvian owned joint. We were assisted by the owner had a good conversation on how they prepared their dishes. We got the whole red snapper, whole Peruvian chicken with sweet plaintains, yuca and fries. The fish was delicious and crunchy yet not greasy since it was fried. The chicken was flavorful and we got it piping hot. We enjoyed our food as well as the friendliness of the staff.

Stopped in after reading the reviews, My wife and I had the Brazas combo, which included a whole chicken, fries, and an avocado salad. The fries and salad were made fresh and were yummy. The chicken was terrific, moist white meat, and great seasoning. I loved the chimichurri sauce, as well as the mint sauce. I'm not sure which sauce came with salad, but it was delicious also. Service was friendly and helpful. I would have left a 5 star review, but they served can soda, and were out of some food we tried to order. 5pm dinner, you shouldn't be out of anything. Especially something as popular as huacaina potatoes. I'll have to try it again some day, but since I live over an hour away, it may be a while. Hopefully they have potatoes next time.

If you're looking for a delightful dining experience, you must visit Brazas! The portions are huge, and the food is absolutely delicious. We started with the mixed ceviche, which was packed with fish, shrimp, and calamari. The mild version was perfect for us, bursting with fresh, zesty flavors. Another highlight was the Jalea fish plate, featuring perfectly fried fish and yuca. The light batter on the fish was incredibly tasty, especially when dipped in the ceviche lemon sauce--simply irresistible. For a special treat, ask for the llomo saltado from their secret menu. This dish, served with rice and French fries, was a standout. We did not have room to try anything else but their chicken looked delicious as well! Brazas has a festive and lively atmosphere with great music adding to the enjoyment of our meal. The place is spotless and well-maintained. Plus, Wendy, the owner, ensured that everything was perfect for us. Brazas is a local gem. Worthy of trying over and over! Make sure you are hungry!!! We will be back for more!
