Bosnian Kwik Mart

Boston Kwick Mart is a great European food market with an emphasis on food from Bosnis, Hungary, Romania and the like. I must say that I wished they chose a better name because many will dismiss it as a convenience store.Service is incredibly friendly and helpful. I found a great looking hot ajvar and can't wait to get home and try it.They have a small refrigerator filled with sausages and other meats.They also have a lot of candy and sweet type stuff.I definitely recommend here and give it five stars.

Do yourself a favor and visit soon! The owner is warm and helpful, the store is well lit and spotlessly clean!They have an amazing selection of European food. Sweets, preserves and vegetable spreads and jarred salads , so much variety! In the freezers and coolers are wonderful smoked meats, all kinds of butters, cheeses and cheese spread. Baked goods, Pierogis! Fruit and meat filled and some wonderful thick chewey pita bread(microwave 3 min at 50%).

Though a small market, I was very impressed with its selection and the variety of goods to be had. Most are, not surprisingly, Bosnian or Balkan/Southern Slavic foodstuffs, a few Russian and pan-Slavic foods, as well, plus a good selection of chocolate from other European nations (though I was surprised there wasn't much Russian chocolate, since Russia is known--at least to Russians--for their chocolates). The selection of coffees, candies/cookies, jams, tinned fish and meats--all that met or exceeded my expectations for store of this modest size and the owner was a very friendly Bosnian lady. She informed that Jacksonville has between 25,0000-30,0000 Bosnians/Herzegovinians which is far more than I knew or expected! Also, they have the best brand of Greek honey, which is hard to find and thus a big bonus.While much smaller than the Korean grocery next door, don't be fooled by the name: this is an impressive little store, far more than I'd call a "kwik mart" and a nice addition to the community. , . !

Bosnian kwik mart is offering great food varieties. Service is good and employees are friendly. Great shopping atmosphere.

Jacksonville needs more places like this. There's so few places here to get international foods. Great selection, great prices, and very clean. I'll be back.
