Rude people. Don't come here. Said we couldn't have an ice water and couldn't use the restroom... sad

According to the website, it appears they have food, but that is a different location. They do allow food to be delivered or carried in from nearby businesses. We ended up having a couple beers prior to heading around the corner for tacos. There are a wide variety of beer options and the bartender shared the story of each one's name as we ordered it. He also knew a lot of Jacksonville history so that was entertaining.

Great Brewery, love the variety and skill involved in all the offerings. The beer hear is top notch, hands down one of the best on the city.

"Dog friendly" means they allow dogs to sit outside. There is no shade, but they did offer a dog bowl for water.

Great beers and awesome beertender! No food when I went, but I did go on a wednesday so maybe that impacted it. But great service and chill place to hang out near the river.

Ok beer. Poor service. I went on a Thursday night at 6pm. It was clear to me that if you're not a local, they could care less about you. I love going to new places and checking out the local beer scene. Not here. I will never be back to Jacksonville. It was almost as if I was an impediment to their vibe than a paying customer.

They have a decent selection of beers ranging from your typical lager all the way through stouts. Location is somewhat small but enough room to grab a beer or two and chill out for a minute. We did find it odd that they close at 10 PM on Saturdays as we were looking forward to going back after the football game but unfortunately that didn't occur. I had a glass of the Dukes as did my husband. It's a typical brown lager very smooth finish overall really good taste.

Walked in and the place was relatively slow. Bar tender was in the weeds from pouring beers. Say for a while before we were acknowledged. Bar tender acted as if we were an inconvenience. Didn't have time to chat or be friendly but had time to straighten the chairs that weren't even askew.

Bold City Brewery Downtown spot is on Bay St next to Cowford Chophouse. Bold City offers a small menu of appetizers, burgers, and cheese plates. We did not have any food on this visit. Bold City Brewery offers a wide range of beer types: IPAs, Hefeweizens, Saisons, Ales, and specialty brews. My husband had two flights of four beers each; only $5 per flight. He enjoyed all samples, especially Mad Manatee IPA and Crimson American Berliner Weiss. They offer 1 gallon, 1/2 gallon, and quart growlers. They also offer 1 quart "crowlers" which look like an oversized beer can. Wine is also available by the glass. We got downtown around 6:45pm. The downtown tasting room closes at 8pm Sun-Thurs, 10pm on Fri-Sat. This location isn't far from the Florida Theatre so it makes a great place to have a beer and nibble before a show.

Forrest time at this location. Bold City was possibly our introduction to local craft beer in Jax. We used to go to the original location which is a warehouse space. This downtown location is much more spacious inside. Decent amount of bar space, some high tops, plus love seats. They have their own brew plus some other and wine offerings. There was some music playing and they have TVs with sports on. I will certainly go back. Part of the bar looks pretty cool with old newspaper vending machines as the base. No food other than what seemed to be small expensive bags of favored popcorn. I didn't have any so not sure if they are good or not, but $5.50 per bag seemed expensive to me.
