Bold Birds Nashville Hot Chicken

They promise heat and that is what we got. I tried the spiciest level and about died. No pictures because it took me 20mins to recover from one small bite. I got what I asked for but only try this if you're daring. Otherwise the medium level tastes good and had just the right amount of spiceWe ordered online and the food was ready when we got there. Seemed like they do a lot of to go orders as nobody was really inside. Nice large space. Quiet and clean!

The youngster and I recently stopped in Bold Birds for lunch. Two orders of jumbo tenders ordered and devoured. Quite filling and tasty. One hot, which packed plenty of heat, one classic. I enjoyed the crinkle cut fries while she raved about the mac n' cheese. Food came quick, was fresh and the restaurant was clean.Why only three stars you ask? I ordered a chocolate milkshake from the counterperson, named on the receipt as cashier #3. When the strawberry shake arrived at the table, I reminded the individual that I had asked for a chocolate shake. I was quickly corrected with a, "no you didn't" as he left the strawberry shake and returned up front. Who does this???

This place brings the heat for sure. I like spicy,got the medium and wished I woulda got mild. I figured the slaw would bring the heat down some what. Great customer service and the restaurant was clean. If you like spicy fried chicken give this place a go. Tenders were pretty juicy too

Bold Birds does not disappoint, if you like Nashville hot chicken , then this is the place for you in the Jacksonville area. Right amount of heat, right amount of flavor.And if you're going to get fries, do yourself a favor, get the loaded crinkle cut fries, it's almost like loading it up with Big Mac sauce, pickles and additional chicken... dare I say even better than the chicken sandwich overall!?

Super fresh, large portions of chicken and the lady that greeted us was awesome- great personality! Never met someone so excited about serving chicken before but she genuinely was. There was also a young girl walking around making sure it was really clean. Last but not least, cool location in Murray Hill with a very relaxed vibe. We drive across town to give them a try & so glad we did!

Fast friendly service ! Mild Chicken tenders amazing! But the corn salad was the best! Great atmosphere and very fast service .

One of my absolute favorites places to eat when I'm in Jacksonville. This has become my standard for all Nashville Hot chicken I consume, and they're tough to beat. The tenders are perfectly crispy and they're not afraid to bring the heat when it comes to spice. I love paring it with an order of their cheese fries. It's become my go to order and I know I have to sit down for a bite whenever I'm in Jacksonville.

I love this place and especially love it being in Murray Hill. It is a nice break from pizza, tacos, and burgers. I have had hot chicken IN Nashville and I can honestly say I enjoyed it from good old Bold Birds in Jax much more!!The food is always fresh and hot, both in temperature and in spice. When they say it's hot, they truly mean it. So tread lightly on that spice level scale when you order :)I typically get the tenders but opted for the 1/4 white meat chicken this time. All was good and very delicious. At times service can be slow, but it's worth it since the food does typically come out hot and freshly cooked. Another aspect about this place I wish could be improved is portion size. The sides come in a small styrofoam cup, I often leave this place still kind of hungry. At the price point, I really wish the portions were bigger especially for sides (Mac n cheese is $4 for the pictured). The sides are so tasty and my favorite part but I do wish there was more bang for your buck.Happy to have this place and hope they accept these suggestions for improvement.

After a nice long 15 mile bike ride, my husband and I decided that we deserved a *treat*! This spot was super convenient to the trail and it was GOOD. Nice and simple interior, plenty of space for you to sit and enjoy your meal, and pretty easy and quick service. We put in our order, sat down - my husband drank his milkshake (LOL) and then our chicken arrived. We went with medium spice - it was pretty spicy but super flavorful. I liked the seasoning and it went well with our dipping sauces! We tried 3 different and all of them were good. I'm a classic ranch girl but enjoyed trying the other 2 as well. Fries were decent but I wish they were a little crispier. Overall 4/5 stars and no major complaints! Go check it out!

Don't let the other reviews lie to you. This used to be my Covid and post covid spot. However, the price to portion ratio is beyond frustrating and now laughable. You need to order at least order double to get what used to be worthy of their price. Either they switched providers for chickens or they too are falling into this chick-inflation mess.
