If you're looking to get rushed into a 45-1hr 9 hole round by disrespectful, cocky old folks, this is your place to be! Buddy and I were rushed and talked down to by two separate groups at two different times, thinking we're playing the back nine of Sawgrass or something ridiculous. Good luck trying to play your 2nd or 3rd shot without the old members hitting into you!The course is kept in decent condition with nice greens. Good challenge for new golfers or just trying to get a casual round.

I feel like this is just a little nine hole golf course for the residents in the area. It's on rough terrain, not very cared for. It's a great pLace to or practice hitting golf balls. It's connected to the Blue Cypress trails and docks. Happy golfing!

Wanted to check it out after the renovations. Hadn't been there in maybe 10+ years. Greens were great, you can tell they really focused on those. It's only a 9 hole course, as it always used to be, but I remember it being a much better value than it was today. I downloaded the app so I had a $5 off coupon, but know that there aren't any sand traps, and the fairways are really straight. It'd be a good beginner's course. It's not exciting enough for regular golfers, though. I'd recommend they drop their rates for 9 holes with cart, for sure. Maybe they're just testing out the waters with their current rates. Pics to follow so you can see the improvements!

Blue Cypress is a nine-hole regulation public golf course, located close to Jacksonville University. This is just about the cheapest option I've found in Jacksonville for golf. You can usually get on and play 9 holes - with a cart - for about ten bucks.Having said that, it's also about the roughest condition course in town. The tee boxes are mostly dirt, fairways are ok, and as of 9/2015 the greens looked like garbage. Honestly though playing here is about the same price as a bucket of range balls and is a lot more fun. They do scrambles on Thursdays and events pretty regularly. The course also shares space with something called footgolf, which is the same idea as golf but instead of teeing up a golf ball you play with a soccer ball. It's pretty cool to see and the foot golfers don't really get in your way as a golfer. It's not a course I'm taking any buddies from out of town to, but I could see myself coming back for a deep discount round.
