Back 9 looks great, front 9 under repair on most greens. Newly placed sod, so they are working on them.Challenging course with plenty of hills, Marsh and water. Reasonable rates and friendly staff!

Last played this course 20+ years ago when was managed by the PGA TOUR. Unfortunately, different story now. Where do I start. For $10 range balls you would expect them to at least be in OK condition. Nope. Driving range was hacked up. Tee boxes not any better. The "new" greens were patchy and bumpy. Could use some TLC. Cart almost died. Pace of play was horrendous. Backed up because of a 6-some. Yes a 6-some. No starter, ranger or even cart girl in sight. Other than that, I had a great time.

I play this course regularly as it is one of the courses I learned to play on many many MANY years ago. It's a little bit of a trek from where I live but you can find good deals on their website for tee times. The course is usually in better than average condition and they do a pretty good job keeping it well maintained. Well placed rolling hills and water throughout the course, it can be a challenge for all skill levels while still providing an enjoyable day golfing.Bent Creek - formerly The Golf Club at Jacksonville - offers a lot of enhancements and options at their facility. They have one of the few remaining lighted driving ranges in town (at a golf course), they have the golfboards - think electric skateboard with a place for your golf bag, and I believe late afternoons they offer foot golf, i.e. soccer golf. There are holes for foot golf all over the course and seems like a great way to get some exercise if you're into soccer. One evening while on our way out we saw a group of 6 getting ready to play foot golf. Pretty cool. This is more of a 3.5 star course but if I had to critique the course with a negatives is at dusk; the mosquito population seems to be fairly abundant during peak season. Obviously, this is about 8 months out of the year in Jacksonville so plan your golf outing accordingly.

Have played this course regularly for the last 6 or 7 years. Very enjoyable course to play! Staff is super friendly and always seem to be smiling. That's sure in short supply lately. Nice clubhouse; not extravagant but has all the essentials. Reasonable prices in the lounge. Prices are very competitive and you can usually get "deal" if you're diligent. Pace of play can get slow at times as it is a public course but most of the time it's not terrible. Usually a 3-4 hour round can be expected if you're not the one fishing for balls. It's a tight course and not too long. Very "old guy" friendly, but back up to the blacks or golds and you have all you can handle. I consider this a shot makers course as ball placement off the tee can be the key to a good score. Greens are usually in pretty good shape but during the transition seasons Fthey are about average for the courses around here. fairways are always above average as you rarely have to hunt some grass to hit. Roughs are just that: miss the fairway and you'll pay the price. Also plenty of water and waste areas you'll need to navigate.Overall I highly recommend Bent Creek but bring some extra balls. The Tee Box is yours, swing away.

Was at the "19 Hole" Restaurant at the Bent Creek Golf Course today for a charity event. While there, we ordered some food from their clubhouse, and what a delight to have some fresh made sandwiches that were very flavorful. The chicken salad was loaded onto a bun with fresh lettuce and tomato. The chicken salad was lightly dressed with mayo, spices and relish. It was very tasty. The turkey wrap was well made, loaded with lots of fresh lettuce, tomatoes and meat, but way too much mustard (requested no mayo). Overall great place to have a quick, reasonably priced lunch.

I have played this course many times but this course is in really poor condition. The greens have very little grass and tee boxes are in rough shape as well. Very disappointing

I've been coming here since 4 years it's very poor managed pro shop guys always have an attitude the brakes on the golf carts don't work I don't even know how they're axing $30 a green fee which should be 14. There's weeds all over the place and it's been like this for the longest time. There's never a card lady.

Came with a few friends on a Sunday, the woman at the desk was not very friendly she made a few rude remarks to us. They only offered one price to play 9 holes vs 18 holes. We were only looking to play 9 so was disappointed to hear it was $30 a person. Once we started to play we played the front 9 holes and all of them were pretty much under water ( keeping in mind it is a Florida summer) all of the greens were being worked on so they moved the holes on the fairway and it was impossible to putt. Was a very short lived game and wouldn't recommend this course for people who are trying to enjoy the actual game or play at all.
