Beachside Seafood Restaurant & Market

I have been to the restaurant 3 times and they did not disappoint . First, it's a walk up, that the only thing If you have problems walking up the stairs, just FYI. I don't think they have an elevator. The place is good and nothing fancy. Very beachy feel and completely a hole in a wall type of place. The seafood was wonderful and very fresh. They have the fresh seafood market downstairs so it's convenient if you want to purchase seafood. Service and the servers was good but it took a little while for our food to arrive but hey, if it's great, I don't mind the wait. Overall, I leave the restaurant happy as a clam.

Amazing from food to service. This is a very popular restaurant in Jacksonville! Casual atmosphere and full of locals and tourists Reservations are a MUST. Our reservation was at 7pm, we had to wait probably 10 minutes the most before seating us upstairs which was more quiet! This place was booming in a Thursday evening. I can't imagine the weekends. Our food was DELICIOUS! Im still thinking of all we eat...oysters...steam seafood platter, salad, and the dessert!!! The famous bread pudding. Which you have to order early because it takes 10 minutes to prepare-its worth the wait!! My husband had an old fashioned and he was very pleased. Again, ALL THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! We had two servers checking on us! We highly recommend this place.

I have lived in the beaches area and have never visited. My friend and I bellied up to the bar and were greeted by a very busy server/bartender. We choose our libations and reviewed the menu.We both choose a fried shrimp and oyster basket. It was delicious. The service was good.If you ever go be kind to those upstairs servers they get a workout every shift!

This little shack is full of wonder and owe!!! Please give them a shot of you are in the area.. it has the ambience of a run down shack but the food will not disappoint. My favorite are their fish fingers . Probably the best in town!! They are seasoned to perfection and their fries are always super fresh and well seasoned. The deviled crabs are super delicious. Definitely a hidden gem.

I haven't been to Beachside Seafood in Jax Beach for a while and thought today was a good day to try it again.For the app, we got the Smoked Fish Dip. This is probably the best fish dip I've had in a minute. Fresh made daily, it's cool and refreshing. Spritz that lemon slice on it and it's about as perfect as can be. This dip is the Truth.Now the Seafood burrito I got for the main...meh. It's bay scallops, shrimp, and crab meat, topped with cheese, wrapped in a tortilla and grilled. It was underseasoned. Some Old Bay or salt/pepper/garlic powder would've been great. The burrito did come with chips and salsa and I ordered a mango salsa on the side so those very much saved the day. But the burrito on its own...meh.Definitely go to Beachside Seafood and try the fish dip. Your mileage may vary on the rest of the menu.

Had a great lunch recently at Beachside Seafood in JAX Beach! It was the quintessential idea of a small seafood restaurant that serves large portions and is super laid back and right by the beach. It was both comfortable and had an upbeat vibe, and there was plenty of options to choose from on the menu. I got a blackened Mahi Mahi sandwich and it was well cooked and served with about a half pound of fries. The service was quick and friendly, and we all in all enjoyed! Give it a try !

Stopped in for lunch and it was amazing! The server, can't remember her name was great and answered all our questions. The food was great and I really recommend the crab dip. No complaints, perfect late lunch. We'll be back again for sure.

We look for local businesses when we are on vacation. This is a gem. Great food and outstanding service. We will be back!

First of all, Kayla is the shit. She was hilarious, attentive, informative, and thoughtful. We started with the crab dip and mussels. It took a little bit to get the apps, but we didn't care. We were having fun with family! They were both hot and delicious when they got to the table. Fried grouper sandwich with Cajun ranch was delicious!!!!!! The bun was so yummy, tomato fresh, and fish fresh! The fries were crispy and hot! Great seasoning! My hubby got the oyster po boy and the portions were huge! My sis in law enjoyed the shrimp! We had such a great time and Kayla really made our day!

I'm not sure why the prices here are so high, there is absolutely no ambiance, and the food wasn't very good. The downstairs area was a small dirty looking area. The waitress said she'd get us menus, yet walked right by them and never grabbed one. The restaurant was definitely NOT busy . We ordered fish dip that was ok, although we didn't appreciate the very stale crackers. We also split a salad w grilled fish, it was so overly salted and greasy that it was hard to eat. . The salad was below average, not much lettuce but at least it was fresh as were the peppers. restaurant was not busy and service was meh I have lived in FL for 40+ years and this is definitely not a highlight. We will not be back. I can only guess that people come here for drinks, not sure why it has so many glowing reviews unless they're friends w the owners ?
