What a yummy little spot near the beach. Beware, it is cash only. It was just one guy running the show so the wait for food was about 15-20 minutes. There was a little sitting area or you can take your food to-go. The meatball on a stick and shrimp on a stick were my favorites. The chicken and pork were good as well. Prices were very decent and they had a good selection on the menu. I saw a few more things I want to try next time.

How did I not know about this quick, tasty Pilipino food shack in Jax until now?! I highly recommend the BBQ Combo #1 which comes with a pork or chicken BBQ stick (chicken was GREAT!), pancit noodles, and vegetable stir fry with a side of rice and lumpia w/ sauce. The front counter server/cook was very friendly and professional. She offered a bag and have us updated for when our meals would be ready. Seating is limited and on wooden benches around tables with pop-up beach umbrellas. There is parking next to it, but you may have to pay the attendant since it is in Atlantic Beach (parking is horrible during busy times but not impossible). Enjoy and embrace this local favorite!

I knew I could depend on this place for a quick, and delicious meal for 5. Had friends pop into town and they always want Filipino food when they visit. But I had no lumpia rolled and no time to cook after working all day. Ordered 3 pancit, 12 BBQ sticks, and 50 pieces of lumpia. All of this fed 5 for about $60 and we had plenty left over. Super affordable! And delicious. I think any Filipino will say the food isn't as good as their own or their moms, but I'm sure they all agree that it's good. And the BBQ sticks are the best! He makes them exactly how my godfather seasons his--which I cannot duplicate. Such a nostalgic and delicious flavor - savory with a hint of sweet. All made to order, it only took about 20-25 mins.

Delicious BBQ and everything else. Simple to go but just have to wait a little. This is not a franchise business. It is a local mom and pops / family business. Got to support our local family owned businesses. Cash only and parking is limited is the 2 down side i give this business but it is at the beach side so walk.

Cool place! Literally a beach hut right by lemon bar, when we went it was just one woman working inside, she took our order then made it, it took about 15/20 min, the menu is smaller and all Filipino classics, don't miss the pancit, lumpia, and of course the grilled bbq sticks! Everything tasted great, eating right by the ocean and for 2 people our total was like $18 = awesome!

We were just driving around trying to find this place on a busy, late afternoon Saturday. We got lucky and turned right into their mini parking area in front of the restaurant. They apparently stop selling the combos after 4pm and we got there around 5pm. Instead, we ordered bar-b-q sticks (pork and chicken), pancit, beef empanadas, and lumpia. The bar-b-q sticks were my least favorite. They're the most expensive item (they ran out of beef), and were flavorless. It was slightly sweet but nothing else. It was definitely missing some salt and flavor. Beef empanadas seems like a mesh of a ton of random ingredients. It had cheese, peppers, meat, and some other ingredients we couldn't really make out. My husband liked it. Pancit was oily, but good. It tasted like Maggi seasoning! If you're a fan of Maggi then you'll like their pancit. Lumpia was thin but good. Nice sweet chili sauce. All the food was about $25. It's outdoors and very casual. I was really annoyed by a customer who jumped in line ahead of me because she wanted to ask if there was an ATM nearby then she even placed her order. Wtf. People are so rude and simply because you speak Tagalog doesn't mean you get to be rude and disrespect everybody else in line. It's also a bit unorganized as the lady who takes orders is also making the bbq sticks. She asked me twice if I already paid and I guess she didn't mark it clearly on her paper. It gets pretty hectic so I understand. Definitely be patient and your food could take up to 30 mins. People had their orders before me even though they ordered after so I'm not sure how their system works.

Back in Jax from St Augustine and we stopped at Bar-B-Q Sticks in Neptune Beach for lunch. Unless you're looking for this place, you'd never know it was here. But like the cartoon cereal bird mascot says, "Follow your nose," and you can't miss it. The sweet smell of pork, chicken, and beef skewers cooking and caramelizing on the plancha fills the air.I got Combo #1. It comes with lumpia, pancit, garlic steamed rice, and a skewer of your choice of protein. I chose pork and an extra beef skewer on the side. This combo (minus the extra beef skewer and before drinks) is only $5.80. Best value on the beach! For dessert I got Taho; a Filipino dessert made with silken tofu, tapioca pearls, and arnibal. Arnibal is a syrup made with brown sugar and water.I also got Turon; think lumpia but with banana. If you're spending a day at the beach around the Lemon Bar area, go get you some legit Filipino street food from this little stall off the beaten path.

We made a stop here during memorial weekend before we started our drive back up to atlanta. Super surprised and glad that they were opened on Monday Memorial Day. We visited our friends who lives down in Jacksonville and we were looking for authentic Filipino food. Found this mom and pop place right by the beach. We did a family style and ordered some a bunch of different kinds of skewers to try and garlic rice to share. The skewers were really good and had a sweetness to it from the sauce. It paired perfectly with the garlic rice. We also ordered Pancit to try and that was probably the best Pancit I've ever had. It was so flavorful and herby. We also got some fried pork lumpia and beef empanadas. I've never had Filipino empanada before and wow they were so good! For all four of us we got 15 skewers, 1 order of pancit, 1 order of 3 empanadas, 2 orders of 10 pork lumpia, and 4 garlic rice each and all of that came up to be about only $45. It was so filling but we had to make room for dessert so we tried their Turo which is like fried sweet banana spring rolls. I loved it so much I had to order some food to bring on the drive back home. We got some more Lumpia, Empanadas, and Pancit to go. Even after the next day the food was so so good. I can't wait to drive back to Jacksonville to get some more of their food. They have some outdoor seatings and I love that it was right next to the beach.

After a little Jeep fun at the beach and early release from school, brought my girls here for an afternoon snack. We picked up bbq sticks and banana/hazelnut empanadas and two bangus (fish) meals to go. (Brought the fish combos to my parents for them to try) When we arrived there was only one couple there already eating. As soon as we finished placing our to go order, a long line quickly formed. We got there at the perfect time. There was only one gentleman working. He had the most pleasant and calm demeanor despite how busy he was. While waiting, my girls and I sat on one of their picnic tables and enjoyed the beautiful weather and sunshine. The banana empanadas were filled with banana, jackfruit, and Nutella. My daughter said it was sooo good. The pork bbq sticks were flavorful and cooked well. It wasn't heavy so it was great to snack on while at the beach. Note: This is a cash only place. Definitely recommend this business. Food is fresh and delicious, service is great, and the prices are fair as well.
