Hubby has been here twice to get his hair cut and I cannot recommend the place at all. I can't recall the name of the older lady who cut his hair, but he gets it cut very short... basically a military style. I'm not barber or cosmetologist, but I'm thinking this is not a definitely hairstyle. However, my daughter IS a cosmetologist (in another state) and she informs me his style is most definitely not difficult to perform. Anyway, both times he came here, he came home with stray/uneven hairs all over his head. So I'm not sure if the poor lady just can't see, or if she needs to sharpen her clippers or just buy new ones. I did notice both time a couple of the other men in there were much older (like 60 and above) and they barely had any hair. So maybe if you're older and balding this is an ok place to come. However, if you're a man with a full head of hair, head over to King Street Barber in Riverside and see Leslie.As for women, after see what she did to my husbands hair, there's no way in hell I'd let her touch mine!!!!

I just moved to Jacksonville (2 weeks ago) and based on reviews (Yelp, FB and online) and location (2 miles from my home) I called and made an appointment. Initially I had asked for Gina, based on reviews, but she was booked and suggested Grace, so glad she did! I'm from Pennsylvania but have moved around a lot, even outside the States, I consider myself 'high maintenance' highlights, lowlights (foil) and naturally curly hair. Grace was awesome, I explained exactly what I wanted done, she asked lots of questions and the result...I love my hair!! Color and cut awesome, price very reasonable which allows for a nice tip :) This was an awesome find for me, relaxed, comfortable and fun atmosphere, and reasonable pricing. I've already booked my next appointment!

This is a great place to get your hair done, the people who work here are all seasoned and experienced and know how to execute your ideas; Phyllis is the only person I let touch my hair and I'm super super super particular about it, she goes above and beyond for me and every time I walk out of there I'm having a good day and happy about the way my hair looks. my best advice to anyone though is articulate yourself and your ideas if you're mumbling Unintelligibly and being vague and forcing someone to guess to avoid making you potentially upset or hostile chances are it's not going to go your way with hair and if you want good service ANYWHERE in life then it's important to remember to tip well; just because the price is low and fair we must remember we're dealing with real human beings as we go through life and everyone needs a little incentive. Make sure people who take care of you are happy to see you by being generous and appreciative to others.

Gina is by far the best hair designer I have ever had. I have been in the military and moved all over the place but I can truly say I have found the best at Bangz in Gina because she is the hair genius!! If you are looking for that hair stylist that knows what she is doing and works with you to give you an amazing look call Gina!!!
