Ballet Arts Centre

I know there are a lot of great reviews, but we did not have a good experience. The instruction is generally sound, and leans more towards performance rather than fun. Our biggest complaint was that they didn't respect our preferences. Whenever we expressed concerns about things happening in class that we weren't comfortable with or inappropriate songs being played, those concerns were ignored. As a result, our young daughter got to the point where she couldn't trust the instructor and wanted to leave despite enjoying ballet.

Both of my oldest children attend Ballet Arts Centre and have been going for a few years. The teachers are all great and have a great time with the kids while teaching them techniques for ballet, jazz, tap, and many more. We have also tried some of the other studios in the area and found that Ballet Arts has the right amount of formal dance techniques and fun for our kids.Would recommend for anyone that wants their children to learn real dance techniques in a fun atmosphere!

Our daughter loves this studio. Ballet is the focus and it's clear Beth cares passionately about this art form. Tap, modern, jazz and Acro are also offered. It's not a super high energy, competitive and flashy, America's Got Talent kind of studio which is why we like it. Beth Marks retired last month and the studio is now but the hands of Ms. Sydney. So far there have been some exciting changes. As long as our daughter continues to love dance and feels cared for by her teachers, then this is the studio for us.

My daughter started here last year after being at another studio. The staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Being a dancer myself for many years, I love that they focus on technique and all the instructors are wonderful.

Miss Beth is an excellent teacher. Gave me many fundamentals in my earlier stages of learning pointe and other types of jazz and modern dance.

My daughter has been a student at Ballet Arts Centre since she was 4. Throughout this time, she has learned more than Ballet, Jazz, tap, hip-hop, modern and acro. She has learned to love dance, to work in a group, and to persevere when things get hard. They strive to maintain the balance between proper technique and proper fun. This balance is achieved through the well-qualified and highly trained instructors, many of whom have danced professionally. The hard work of the instructors and students really shows each year at the recital as well as the achievements of their students outside the studio.

Great studio! Awesome teachers! My girls love it there, it's like their second home. Quality instruction for all ages.

By far the BEST DANCE STUDIO in Jacksonville!! Offers all styles of dance and my child just can't get enough. Passionate owner and teachers. If you want to become a "well rounded" dancer...this is your studio!!
