Back to the Grind

I found this place while searching for soup yesterday. Not sure why I had passed it before, but it's a more healthier option and cheaper than a hamburger meal. The owner Matt was very nice and greeted me before I said anything. There are a number of drink offers for downtown folks needing a healthy option or a caffeine pocket me up. The ambiance is like a coffee shop. No seating inside, however there are seats and tables outside on the walkway.I thought the drink was $5,but it was made fresh to order so I can't complain. Matt let me know they can make any fruit combination with any items on the menu. The smoothie I'm drinking contained yogurt and honey, that was a delicious surprise.This is a quiet gem amongst a downtown with other non healthy or expensive options.4/4

Review: Discovered a hidden gem during my jury duty lunch break. The coffee place was cozy and inviting. Their cappuccino was top-notch, and I loved that I wasn't pressured to buy anything extra. They had a variety of baked goods on offer, but the coffee was the star of the show. A perfect spot for a quick caffeine fix.Place a small has a few tables by the window. If it's not too hot, you can sit outside.

This place is wonderful for quality and flavor!I asked for recommendations and one of the first ones was the strawberry milkshake, recommended because it is made with real strawberries. I decided to add Nutella because who doesn't love Nutella strawberries?This milkshake delivered on flavor and creaminess. It was so perfect. Add the fun atmosphere at Back to the Grind Downtown and this whole experience was a winner!

I walk by several coffee places to get to Back to the Grind. Great latte and great muffins. Matt, the owner, is great too.

I finally got here before closing. My first visit here. My co-worker, Liz told me about this place. I used to come here when it was Will's downtown location, Vagabond Coffee. I ordered a large number 5 smoothie. I also ordered a brownie, a chocolate chip cookie and an oatmeal pie. I've only tried the smoothie so far and it is delicious. Pros:the young lady that waited on me asked me if I wanted the corner brownie, which is what I always like. The location is good. They have chairs inside and outside. The have a customer rewards sign up. The customer I let go in front of me, told me about it. Cons: The young lady was not very friendly or personable at all. In time hopefully that will get better. If you're going to work with the public, please try to be warm to your customers. I left with mixed feelings. I will come back again. Hopefully next visit will be better.

I LOVE this place! It's pretty small and can be easily overlooked but when you see that open sign and the menu outside I highly recommend stopping in. The shakes here are absolutely amazing. I've tried the coffee shake and the banana puddin' shake and both were delicious! Very filling too. So I'll double down and say it again, I highly recommend Back to the Grind for that midday sweet satisfaction.

I've been here a few times. The man and woman who work here are really nice. They've offered alternative dairy options and I tried oat milk for the first time because of their suggestion. They also have milkshakes and other coffee specialty drinks. They have scones for sale there too. There's a few seats scattered inside. And some seating outside. They also definitely advertise for local events all the time in there too. Business cards and little posters. I can definitely appreciate a mom and pop coffee shop. They're next to UPS on Hogan.

Hubby stops here on way to the office. Staff is super friendly and have lots of coffee flavor options. The cookies look tasty but hasn't tried them yet. They have almond and oat milk options. Coffee always tastes very fresh and staff goes above and beyond. His coworkers say their milkshakes are very good too but have yet to try

Delicious drinks, slower than you'd expect, but it's just 1 guy in the truck and each drink is custom made to order! Conveniently located outside of my workplace once a week... you can't beat that! I approve of the chai tea!

If you're in the downtown area looking for great coffee, smoothies, milkshakes, pastries...or just flat out great service this is the place to be. Matt is a very consistent business owner. Matt and his staff is always professional and respectful to all of his customers. The soothing music keeps your energy balanced. When you come and there's a line, just know it's worth the wait especially when you know what you're going to be served the best.
