Me and friends did a group dance lesson where we learned salsa... we had so much fun. I have no rhythm so dance lessons sounded daunting, but it was far from that. There was no pressure, our instructor was incredible, we learned so much, and had SO MUCH FUN. Im a novice dancer, but now know some salsa moves to hold my own. 10/10 experience.

A small dance studio about the size of a dorm room hidden inside a pretty drab plaza. Instructor lacked character in instruction even though I went hoping to find the "fun & friendly latin dance lesson" that was advertised. It just needs an update with music selection, harder (more challenging) dance routine, and something (no clue how to help here) that will bring out more people. The class no surprised was 90% women. Did however meet some cool people who shared my same "never again" vibe.

My wife and I have been dancing at Avondale since it opened in Murray Hill. The staff is very friendly and experienced, especially John and Amber. They have a floating floor, which makes it very easy on your feet. The customers always seem to be smiling. The studio supports the Duval County Guardian ad Litem program. So, good instructors, fun loving staff and customers, and responsive to the community. That makes them a 5 star business to me.

My wife and I have been taking lessons here for over 7 months. Everyone is very friendly and eager to teach. The studio is tucked away and is very nice. Our instructor (John) is extremely nice and we laugh and have fun every time we dance. It is very nice to get out and do things together...and even more fun to be around people enjoying life.

I have been taking lessons from Avondale Dance for over a decade. The instructors are great, especially Amber Hartley, the dance floor is beautiful and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I can confidently stay on any dance floor while waiting for the next song to play because I learned so many different dances at Avondale. From beginner to accomplished competitive dancers, Avondale Dance is a great place.

My wife and I were very happy that we went to Avondale Dance Studios for lessons. We started going to the studio because we found a deal on Groupon. However, we had so much fun and learned so much that we continued with additional lessons. The owner, John, and Alicia who works at the front desk, greeted us at every visit and it made us feel very welcome. Our primary instructors were Amber and Allan and both were 'excellent' dance teachers. They are both very personable. We learned so much, and had fun while doing it. Two other instructors, Susan and Tracy, that we had for group dance were also very friendly, engaging and patient. The instructors always worked with us to accommodate our schedule, and we met a lot of really nice people.
