Austins Soul Food

Omg ! If you are looking for a soul food spot this is it ! I got the oxtails plate and a veggie plate and everything was delicious and It was not overly seasoned. Parking is is tight and limited. Also they do not offer any indoor anymore. It's standing room only to place an order and wait. It would be best to either call in advance or order online.

I went on a Sunday afternoon around 4pm. They close at 6pm but still had an active crowd. After ordering, my food was ready 5 minutes later. The smothered chops can be served over white or yellow rice. They were nothing special however the portion was large. The collard greens were decent, but the mac and cabbage weren't exactly the taste I was looking for. They have several other soul food options and I believe the food will be better when I try something else. Days of operation are limited to Friday-Sunday.

This place was recommended by a few Uber riders and this place did not disappoint. Thank y'all!!! This was a Sunday so it was kind of packed. Park either in front or side of building. When I was leaving it was cars parked on the street. There's no seating just standing room to order. Then you sit in your car until you receive a text. The food is delicious and they're not stingy with what they give you.

The food is good when they what you're looking for..the last time I went there they only had turkey wings and chicken ..go there but call in advance to what's on the menu for the day

If you are questioning if you should come to this establishment let this be your SIGN!!! The food was crazy good! No damn exaggeration. Finger licking good! Oh my! The customer service was top tier & the owner was VERY nice even with the line being out the door. I wasn't rushed! Food came out within 15 mins! I'll be back, they won me over!

The food is good, but the wait is just too long, I stopped going because of the wait time and at one point, the hours posted, they were not open, so I just stopped going.

I have picked up passengers doing Lyft and only heard high praise n -itis snoring from the back seat from this place, so when in Jacksonville!Hot, fast n fresh! If you're looking for mmm-licious southern dishes that beautiful Black women walked on, this is your place.Liver n onions are tender n flavored to satisfy. The plastic knife cuts through it like melted butter. Mac n Cheese, please can I have some more! Hot damn dem yams, oh so sweet, what a delicious treat. Every bite was a true southern delight.If you miss your mother's or grandmother's cooking, this will satisfy n soothe your soul.

My wife knew that I like chitterlings so she thought it would be good to get me some from here. When I opened it, I didn't actually know what I was looking at. I have never seen chitterlings chopped up almost to obliteration and spread over rice. The plate was mostly rice! Once I mixed it together it was like playing 'Where's Waldo'. I'm had to search for the chit'lins. There were a couple nice sized pieces and the rest looked like it had been chopped in a blender. I can say that I tried it though. Gotta support. Taste wasn't too bad but the meal was disappointing overall.

Food was good, prices are a bit high and so were wait times for service. Not too much of an ambiance in the small area.
