Aspendos Italian Cuisine

Heard good things so I scheduled a white pizza to be picked up at 3:30. I walk in at 3:30 and that pizza has been sitting here at least 30 min on top of the oven. It's hard as a rock totally gross. One and doneI originally rated this a 1. The owner reached out to me right away and offered to remake the pizza no charge and even deliver it to me. I told him I didn't need another pizza and he immediately refunded my credit card. No questions asked. He was extremely apologetic and I truly believe this may have been one time incident. Good management goes a long way.

Husband ordered chicken parm. Breaded chicken was drenched in watered down red sauce that there was no bread. Garlic knots had no garlic. Kids meals were suppose to come with one bread each, only got one.

Ordered manicotti and my wife ordered beef ravioli. We both got a house salad with ranch and garlic bread. My wife liked the ravioli but I throughly loved the manicotti. The sauce was delicious. The salad was fresh and the dressing was excellent, tasted homemade, but not sure. The garlic bread was good. There was only one server to take care of everyone and he had to clean tables too. He did a great job, but don't expect quick service, We weren't in a hurry so didn't mind. It was very warm inside. I was ok because I'm always cold, but my wife was not happy (cool wife happy life). Last time I just did a pizza on takeout. Now I have another place to go enjoy an excellent meal in the Oakleaf area.

We got take out tonight, ordering via phone was quick and easy. Our food was ready when we arrived. We got the garlic knots, 10" veggie pizza and a 14" pepperoni pizza. The pizzas were delicious. Crust was thin and crispy. The veggie pizza had tons of toppings. The felt the knots were a bit bland but soft and fluffy nonetheless. The service was fast and friendly.

I had dinner with friends on a Tuesday evening at Aspendos Italian. There was a large group of us which they happily accommodated. I ordered the cheesesteak calzone and fried mushrooms. The calzone was served hot and cheesy and loaded with meat. I also liked the marinara. The fried mushrooms were hot and delicious and also served with marinara. The mushrooms were fresh with a perfect amount of breading!It was pretty warm inside which was uncomfortable. Service was friendly but slow. And our food came out staggered. However, I would go back for takeout!

My friends and I visited Aspendos Italian Cuisine and Pizza for a delightful dinner this week. We opted for diverse dishes like spaghetti and meatballs, pizza, cheesesteak, homemade lasagna, and fried mushrooms for an appetizer. To my surprise, the Philly cheesesteak was served with a fork and knife, loaded with meat, onions, peppers, and cheese. Although I had a buy-one-get-one-half-price coupon, it was only valid for takeout, and the terms were not clearly stated. Unfortunately they would not honor it while we dined in, hence the 5 to 4 star rating. Despite this, the owner, operator, and staff were very welcoming and accommodating, providing an exceptional dining experience. The food was authentically Italian, making Aspendos a hidden gem for delicious family-style dinners. While the restaurant's temperature was not ideal (little warm) , the ceiling fans helped circulate the air. I would definitely return to Aspendos for authentic Italian cuisine and pizza.

We were craving Italian food so we decided to order here to try out. I heard mixed reviews but heard there's new ownership and it's a lot better now. I cannot rate on the atmosphere nor the service as we ordered take out, but here are my thoughts:Garlic knots: 8/10 - covered in that garlic oil and it was fluffy, hot, and delicious! I could smell and taste the aroma of garlic with each bite and dipped in that marinara sauce was chef's kiss. One of the best garlic knots here in JAX. Side Salad: 6/10 - nothing special about it, just a simple side salad with crouton. I loved the French Dressing though. It was tangy, tart, and full of flavor.Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo: 7/10 - my friend tried this and she said she liked it! I tried some and it was just okay to me. Not the best but not the worse. The noodles were overcooked but the chicken was super flavorful. The sauce didn't really wow me as it is creamy but could use a bit more salt. It wasn't bad at all but I feel the flavors could be elevated a bit more. It wasn't as cheesy as we hoped it would be and was a little dry. Chees tortellini: 7.5/10 - now this may be my fault but I wanted it with the pesto sauce but got the marinara sauce instead. The pasta was cooked al dente and the flavors were really good! I enjoyed each bite of the tortellini as it was filled with cheese! They didn't skim on the cheese at all! And each tortellini I had was as delightful as the other one! They give you a good hefty portion too and I could only eat like half of the portion! I would get this again but with the pesto sauce as my heart is set on that. I love pesto so I was a bit disappointed when I got the red sauce instead. The photo on Doordash had the pesto version and I didn't see an option to click on the types of sauces so I assumed it would come as that. All the pasta entrees came with a side of garlic bread and it was divine. Toasted to perfection with just the right amount of garlic and I loved every bite and crunch.Overall, I would come back again and try other things. The prices were reasonable for the portion sizes and the food was good. Hoping next time we come dine there, the food would be great instead!

11/18/ 2024 Stopped in with a friend for pizza. The cook needs to be fired! We waited almost an hour when the pizza arrived, it was overcooked. We were only the 2nd table.The Caesar side salad had a 1/2 a bottle of dressing poured over it we were charged 7.99 !!! Seriously no exaggeration !!! When the pizza finally arrived, it was soo overcooked almost burnt. It tasted like we were eating a cardboard pizza from the grocery store. The pizza was over priced $18 for a large cheese pizza with 2 additional skimpy toppings at 1.50 a piece. We mentioned it to the waiter, but of course, it was not his fault. He did a great job as he apologized. I can see why the restaurant almost empty!!! We will not return. It was not worth the hassle for us to complain or even request a refund. We pissed away 50.00

The food is delicious! The owner is very attentive and the manicotti was very good! My wife loved it!

Order for the 1st time last week and was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely be going back.
