I managed to close out my membership by force by involving my bank. Like many of the other reviews I dealt with the same issues. This situation happened months ago and until recently I continued to get call from their collections team threatening me. Wild. They make it difficult to end the membership even without a contract and if by any chance you don't do everything to the last step of their instructions if payments miss they will charge several fees that will mount to 2x to 3x the monthly.

I came in on a free one week guest pass provided on the Asana website. It was pretty easy to sign up for and when I got to the gym it was rather easy to get started.Asana bills itself as a wellness center and I am not sure why, however, they are a nice gym. They have good hours, although they recently changed them. I went four times during my free week pass and it was never busy. I did go during the middle of the day, but other local gyms have more traffic at midday then Asana. The locker rooms are pretty well kept. You don't need a lock as all lockers have a personal code you can choose. It seemed clean, but I did notice there are no facial tissues. Now, this isn't a deal breaker, but if you want to stop the spread of germs it is a good idea to have some tissue boxes spread through the gym so you can sneeze or cough into. There is a sauna and several shower stalls to use. I did not use them, but they seemed like the were clean and in working order. The gym itself seems very new. The free weight area is large and well organized. They have barbells that go fairly high. The circuit machines are plentiful and it seemed like they have most of the most popular machines. I did notice that there is no squat rack inside. That is a pretty big and glaring missing piece of equipment.Outside they have an artificial turf area where you can squat, deadlift, etc, but it is a bit cramped as it is underneath metal stairs. If you want to do a standing shoulder press you have to move as the stairs are right above you. Not a deal breaker, but a bit strange considering there is no squat rack. Outside they have some old large tires. You can use them for pyrometric jumps or you flip them. They also have sledgehammers so that you can swing and hit the tires to work out your core. They have a push and a pull sled and about 30 feet to use for that. I thought it was ample space. They used to have a spin room for classes, but it has been converted now. It now houses more free weights, smith machines, and benches. The membership rates seemed very fair to me. There were three tiers. Just the gym, gym and two amenities, and gym and all amenities. The cheapest tier is about $10, then $20, then $30. You can also pay in full to lock in a rate. The rates seem pretty good, but having been around a lot of gyms and reading other reviews has me wondering. Many people complain about cancelling their membership or being contacted to show up. I hate dealing with membership services for something that should be simple, but then again I do not have any first hand experience with that as I came in as a guest. All in all the gym is pretty good. A few strange choices in terms of machines or placement, but nothing terrible. Besides Mia I thought customer service was pretty okay. Mia at the front desk is super helpful and nice.

If you are looking for a gym that is gonna charge you multiple times a month and then blame you saying it's your fault then go right ahead and join Asana!! :)Now they are adding on late fees when I paid the bill twice on my account march 15th and march 27thThe company is saying they tried to run my card February 8th and did not go through, i don't see an attempt by the company to charge my account $26 nor did I receive a insufficient funds notice .So now they are trying to charge me 3 late fees when I've paid them $136.85 for the month of march and now April they are charging me $ 83.44 as dues and late fees . Manager became irate when I asked for explanation on why I'm being charged a late fee in April when I paid a $136.85 for march account should've been 0 balance now they are telling me I don't pay my bill but I have not been late but one time in a whole year (which I replaced my card the month I was late which was why) .Instead of continuing to be taken advantage of my active duty husband and I have moved gyms. Also they are really quick to block you on Facebook so you can't leave an honest review of the company.I've spoken with attorney on reporting company to bbb

Asana is a well equipped gym with new equipment and a nice aesthetic. The staff was friendly and they offer really great monthly rates. It is also not very busy.My issue is that they call themselves a wellness center which is not true. The locker rooms are small and no towels are provided. The sauna was not large at all and there is no steam room. The locker room is just pretty uninviting all around as the toilets are right in the mix with the changing area, showers, and sinks. It's a good spot for a workout but definitely lacking in many regards.

I recently joined Asana Fitness JAX gym. I have found that it is not crowded. The staff is very knowledgeable. The locker room is clean well lit and well maintained. They have a variety of exercise machines. Not overly priced monthly fees.

*****WARNING*******PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU ALLOW THIS BUSINESS ACCESS TO YOUR BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION Had a membership with this gym moved out of town for medical reasons, called/ emailed in to cancel the membership was told via email by the managing partner Chris REISINGER that I needed to come in to fill out the cancellation form and it would take 30 days I explained to him after the email , when I then called in, and stated that I no longer lived in the city of Jacksonville and that was not possible for me. Chris then told me that he would mail me the form, but he understood the situation ,mail me the form , and I could fill it out and fax it or mail it back. There was no mention of sending a certified letter in the email or phone call in September, telling me how to cancel my membership so therefore he never sent me the form never, told me I could send a certified letter and continued to charge my account since September 2022 I had to get my bank involved , close my checking and reopen a new account because Mr. Chris Reisinger refused to give me a refund dated back to my written request to cancel my membership and at this point STILL continues to drawl from my bank account every month until today . Please beware this is a shady business with shady owners. Chris REISINGER should be a shamed of the way he is conducting business. I would not recommend this gym, the gym looks nice on the inside, but the people who own it are PIGS MONEY HUNGRY PIGS, and will take advantage of you if given the opportunity. here is another post /review talking about CANCELLATION ISSUES at ASANA . Chris REISINGER doesn't care about you .... Just your money Tarra

This gym has been used by me, my dad, and my brother for I would say over two years now. This year in August, the worker up front said, they stopped allowing members bring guests into the gym to make it a 24/7 gym when I went to bring in a friend to workout. First of all, it has been 3 months now since this no guests thing and they still have not made it a 24/7 gym. Second, I paid a $300 prepaid membership for the year, before August, so that I could workout and bring a guest. Now they just changed the main reason I got the Platinum membership in the past so that I could bring a guest and when I went to the worker about this issue they told me "there is nothing you can do about it sorry". So now I'm trapped in this membership for six+ more months where I can not even get a refund or just even a guest pass. The equipment at this gym has also gotten really bad such as the grips missing, and pieces falling out of equipment when I go to grab it, and seats ripped and leather missing. It seems like they do not care about the place like they used to or the customers.
