We had the best service - I unfortunately forgot his name :( Would have loved to give him the shout he deserves!!! So I will focus on the food! Delicious food! The chips (which I am trying not to eat so many of them!) Well those chips were too good not to devour! Perfectly cooked, and enough salt to taste, but not overwhelming. I got the Diablo shrimp plate. Unique taste, nice and spicy Large portions, rice is yummy, and the refried beans delish! The hubs got asada Mexican style tacos, very tasty and great price for portions! I didn't get a cocktail (shocking I know) but I saw them, and they looked amazing. Great bar too - will definitely be back! Great area! There is a coffee shop, and Crumble Cookies on either side!

While we didn't get the name of our waitress, service was lovely on the Tuesday evening we went. We expected a little wait, but we're pleasantly surprised to be seated upon walking in. We ordered the Anejo Naked Ceviche, which for a first timer on ceviche like me was delicious! Our entrees were a build your own combo with tacos and then an order of chile rellenos. I personally wouldn't order the chile rellenos from here again as they got fairly soggy. We sat outside which is beautiful but definitely prepare to be harassed by flys. :( Definitely would recommend this restaurant in the future!

Anejo is a chain but what it was for me was the closest restaurant I could sit at after walking four miles all day. This is the place near the animal shelter. For some reason the first thought when people encounter chain Mexican restaurants is it's inauthentic. Corporate does tend to ruin stuff. Whether intentional or not all the staff seems to be Hispanic here so hopefully that isn't just to avoid that stereotype. It's good to me regardless. All Mexican food is Americanized to an extent. Definitely don't get the nachos if you want authentic as those chips are very obviously out of the bag. But the three salad options are taco salad and two fairly boring Americanized ones for friends you bring who hate Mexican food I guess. Not sure. Cobb salad is boring in general. This taco salad though. I'd say it's just one giant taco. It's only a salad in the sense they throw it all together but it isn't even half lettuce, so don't get this as a light menu option. If you don't know by now taco salad doesn't count as healthy I dunno what to tell you. It was good though. Fresh guac and served on a hot plate with a delicious crispy fried flour shell, melted cheese, and the shredded chicken was seasoned and moist. Their apps are on the cheaper side too but only the empanadas seemed interesting so I went with a safe bet. I think it paid off. I'd come back.Friendly prompt service and plenty of seating even at happy hour.

LOVE all the Anejo Cocina location! Food is always delicious and consistent. My colleagues and I ate here for lunch at the Riverside location today. It has such a nice atmosphere in their restaurant and the service was good. Definitely recommend!YUM

Spent the block one more time. I had to google the difference btwn the American and Mexican versions of the queso barata tacos. The first time they did what they wanted so I didn't get the shirt cream or lettuce. Quick service when ordering online. Curros are overpriced, so u ran over to the taco place around the joint the corner for a few dollars cheaper. This place is consistent and authentic and in the Brooklyn neighborhood.

Update: I took the cerviche home, added it to rice and it was delicious. On its own it was a bit too tangy for me to eat alone but over rice it was perfect.I got the mango ceviche took one fork full and my tongue is still burning! The waiter didn't mention it was hellahot. I told the waiter and they replaced it with a naked cerviche, less spicy. My companions got a taco salad and they said they were delicious.

Brought my Mother here for an early supper before our date with the Jax Symphony. We found a space right by the door and walked in. It took some time for someone to seat us but once we were seated, a server approached us and took care of us.I got the Anejo Grilled Octopus and she got the Enchilada Chicken and Spinach. My Octopus was fantastic! Three big tenacles that took some time to eat as there was some chewiness to it. This made me so happy. I also ordered the Skinny Margarita which I assumed would be not so strong, but not a chance, this marg was skrong and still delicious. My mother said her food was delicious though she didn't eat the rice and beans. She was full by then.I'd come back to this place.

Amazing service food and drinks! Friday night and looking for a good spot to eat. The location is very nice. They immediately service you when you walk in. We ordered the chicken empanadas and they were fresh and delicious. My husband and I split a Anejo burrito with steak. It was delicious and huge. It can feed a family seriously. The watermelon margarita was tasty too. I will be back because everything was soooo good.
