Went to the principle office bar. Small adorable and fun atmosphere. Sat on a school benches with pillows and cushions. Had to go to the frontOf the room which was the barTo order your drinks and talk to the teacher oh mean the bar tender. Lol! Very approachable and available to answer all my questions. She gave meGood advice and it really helped me make a decision. The beauty school drop cocktail tasted like a margarita and the was a fruity full body cab. We sat and enjoyed the atmosphere. The teacher " bar tender came to my table and asked how things were going. Even saw some people from another class from early that day. Enjoyed getting to know them and the history of the town. Fun time.

We have had several different visitors stay here at this quaint local hotel. It is a few blocks from the main downtown area, easy to walk to town for the shops and restaurants. They have a nice pool for guests. The best feature is the Principal's Office bar inside the hotel which is worth a visit even if not staying there. Great ambiance and bartenders with fun drinks.

Such a beautiful Inn just off the main strip. Great bar on the 1st floor. Was bustling with folks staying and just visiting. Tons of drink options, ambiance was fun and inviting. Bar tender was attentive. Absolute gem, definitely stop by for a drink when in Fernandina.

What this place was too cool for school! lol!No for reals I have never seen or heard of the principals office Bar located inside this lovely hotel! It's actually an old school that has been converted into a boutique hotel along with the downstairs bar, Ive never wanted to get sent to the principals office till now! It was quite and regal in there, serving craft cocktails ( only $5 on HH! ) great place to escape from the heat and get a drink! Would love to stay here for a few nights!

You can send me to the principal's office any day at the Amelia School house.. this renovation has Amelia Proud I am sure. The 1886 school house turned chic boutique hotel for adults is bright and their light and perfectly schoolhouse themed décor is welcoming but not over schooled. The bar and staircases are brought out in their dark stain against the other colors of black white and a pop of red. A large group of us stopped in on a Sunday to check them out and enjoyed their happy hour special which was a $5 drink called the Orange Crush served by a sweet ladytendar. The seating was appropriate and comfortable for our large sized group. Enjoyed the theme of items used for décor that could also be used also for photo props.Kudos to the owners for their accomplishment here and would love to come back and stay around christmas!

Have stopped in to look around before but not for a drink so we decided to come with friends today. The decor is perfect and comfortable. It is a hotel but they have a bar too; we were at the bar. I ordered an orange crush, not something I would normally order, it was very tasty and on Happy Hour.

We stayed here for two nights on our driving trip to South Florida. I can't say enough superlative things about this charming inn. Created from the bones of a late 19th or early 20th century school, this inn was completely renovated in 2016, with no expense spared. High end materials were used throughout, real tile baths, solid core doors, original hardwood floors and grand stairs. The usual amenities of 4k flatscreen TV, WiFi , individual mini split heat pumps, nice ceiling fans, big windows with high end Venetian blinds and curtains complete the feeling of luxury. There's even a swimming pool and putting green! The staff are friendly and helpful, decor tasteful, and the bar, affectionately named "The Principal's Office", accessible and comfortable. With all of this and a perfect location in the historic district of Fernandina Beach, you'd think this would be beyond your budget. But think again! There are only 17 rooms so you better get your reservation well in advance of your visit to this delightful destination.

My hubby and I went to The Principals Office for drinks and loved the atmosphere but the lady who was bartending there was extremely unfriendly and had a rude attitude about her. I was kind of surprised that she is the bartender, it made my hubby and I want to hurry up and finish our drink so we could leave. We had asked her a few questions about the rooms and the going rate but she seemed annoyed with our questions so we just stopped trying to engage in conversation. We have heard great things about this place but hopefully the rest of the staff is much more accommodating than she was. I'll check on line for info regarding the hotel side of it.

The happy hours are absurdly loud if you are staying in the Inn. Ridiculous. Tonight there is apparently live entertainment. Or they think they are entertainment. That is NOT on their website. Not a relaxing environment. On Christmas Eve there was a drunk man banging on all the doors & yelling. This went on for well over an hour before I reached out to the Inn Mgr. We heard the individual be allowed in before the MGT could have possibly taken action. We were lying in bed listening to it all transpire in the entry way. Drunk guest locked out during some argument..? Lord only knows. But was obviously a very explosive situation the guests were expected to be included in. Inn Mgt never put our minds at ease that this is a safe environment. Would NOT recommend. Zero forsafety. I later looked for exterior cameras, one at the rear door was obviously broken/removed quite some time ago. And there is one on the front of the property that may be working near the front door. Either way......Zero for peaceful or relaxing environment. You'd be better off lodging at a fraternity house, if you are looking for tranquility, safety & a vacation like experience.
