Amelia Island Horseback Riding

Horseback riding on the beach with your best friends. SO fun and worth the memories! We were all pretty nervous, first timers! But the horses were all well trained, and they actually match you with the horse with your same temperament and for your experience level. I was matched with Gatorade, aka Gator. Sweet boy! He strolls and is chill, just like me. Hahaha. And, he did like to gallop to catch up to the crew, so I was able to experience both slow and not so slow. Too funny! I'm the same way when I "run" with friends ... I walk, but sprint to catch up, then walk ... the handlers really know their horses! They stay with you the whole way and take pics for you, too! So you get the memories to cherish the experience forever. SO awesome. It's worth the views and the adrenaline of being able to say you've experienced it. Thank yooooooouuu! Definitely want to try it again.

The experience was thoroughly enjoyable, allowing ample space and freedom, a rare find when riding horses on the beach. The instructor, so sweet and amazing, added a personal touch to the adventure. Definitely recommend for anyone looking to combine the joy of riding with the beauty of a stunning beach setting!

Mandy was the best guide! It was a bucket list item for all of us and Mandy was sure to make it memorable. Even took us out in the rain! Loved the horses.

Very disappointed with this ride. Horses were not well behaved, guides horse threw our guide and spooked my daughters horse so then she got thrown off. Robin was amazing to book with very kind and professional but no follow up after ride. Amy was understandably rattled and wanted to follow through. A very stressful ride. 3 of the 6 Horses did not easily obey riders and it took a lot of effort to keep them where they needed to be at the pace we needed them to go. Also there were loose dogs in the beach that seemed to unnerve the horses as well. For a ride like this I would have expected very well trained horses and a guide horse with no questionable behavior - very poor decision making on behalf of who decided the horses to send. These were our horses - Cutter did the best with my 10 year old, Indie did okay with our 17, Chanel was temperamental and very difficult to handle, Tanner was constantly trying to go where the guide had asked us not to and was definitely not comfortable until almost back to the lot and was very skittish with the dogs. Sebastian was the guide horse and definitely not well behaved or well trained. Our daughters horse was Zirc very slow and dependable except when trying to get away from Sebastian. Very disappointed. This was a bucket list dream come true ride for us as our family Christmas gift and we are so disappointed. We did our homework read reviews talked with Robin no indication and nothing could have prepared us for this bad horseback riding experience.

Reserved a ride for our 4 kids. They had a great time riding on the beach! The reservation was easy online. Communication was great before. And they took photos!

Horseback riding on the beach was definitely on my bucket list, and we were able to check it off on Amelia Island! We had a fantastic time. My boyfriend and I did the sunrise ride, which met at 6:30 in the morning but it was so worth it! The beach was so peaceful and quiet and we had a blast. All of the horses were so well trained and the guide will choose a horse for you based on your experience and comfort level. I used to ride horses all the time, so I was very comfortable and I did some trotting and cantering. While my boyfriend, who was not as comfortable, stuck to a basic walk. So if you've never ridden before you'll feel total safe. Our guide was great and took a ton of photos and videos of us on our walk. It was only us and one other couple so we had a very intimate and personal experience. I highly recommend doing a beach horseback ride if you're in the area!

We had a fabulous ride on the beach with AHR. It was a nice small group and our guide did a great job keeping us safe and happy. It's very apparent these horses are extremely well cared for and well mannered. I rode Luna who was an absolute love ( I didn't want to say goodbye to her) and my husband rode Cookie Monster who loved to eat...just like my husband . They loved each other so we rode side by side on the beach. This was an A+++ experience if you love horses and the beach.

Great experience and Jessi was awesome! My wife and I did this as a part of our vacation and this was a great way to end our trip.

We had an excellent beach ride with this company. We had 5 horses in our group. Holly was the person that led the group and she did a great job directing/teaching us and took awesome picture. Highly recommend!
