Amelia Fresh Café

I love the mustard seed cafe! My go-to is a smoothie or protein bowl but it's all really good.Lots of vegetarian/vegan options.It's located inside the Nassau Health Foods Store. The employees are really nice. You get a menu from the counter (walk in and to the right) then order at the checkout. After you eat, just leave your stuff and they'll clean up!

Great food here. Great to find tasty, creative fresh ingredients and not the typical fried, bbq, potatoes/beans southern fare. There way too much of that on the island. We both had the smoked salmon BLT and headed to the beach for lunch. Perfectly made, tasty. Highly recommend getting breakfast or lunch here.

Had Tacos con carne for lunch and grabbed a takeout Ginger Chicken salad salad for dinner. Enjoyed both the meals that were colorful and flavorful. Remember to order at checkout stand not the window. I will be back to tryout the breakfast and shop at the Nature store.

I love this place! I visit my parents in Amelia Island pretty often, and always have a hard time finding vegan food, but this cafe saves me every time. The tofu club is delicious, as is the beyond burger wrap! They use vegan mayo and daiya cheese and it makes me crave their food over and over!

One of the only places on the island where you can get vegan food. They don't have a huge selection of vegan options but hey, at least they have some!Some of the staples I get are the Aztec salad and the tofu blt. The tofu BLT with tempeh bacon is awesome! It's my favorite thing to get there for lunch. They use veganaise and I honestly think it taste better than regular mayo. They also do a tofu blt wrap that they keep in their cooler of prepared foods which is good. I prefer the sandwich myself, the bread is just so good. When you order the meal it usually comes with a side of couscous, too. The Aztec salad is always delicious and on point. The veggies are always so crisp and the tempeh is so right in this salad. It comes with dressing already. It's light but still has good flavor. With everything in the salad already I think the lighter dressing is better because it just enhances the flavors. I've also had the breakfast burrito with eggs, cheese and spinach. It is very filling and has a great taste. The price isn't too bad either for the size of it.

Point of info. They have an omelet bar and serve breakfast until 11 AM We are not vegan. But their dishes are always tasty and fresh. At times my hubby and I share a stir fry Always enough.

Food was average at best. Not a restaurant I will visit again. Slow service. Visited soon after opening so may have improved.

Excellent food and service. Very friendly people serving all who come. We had the tofu bacon sandwich, which was incredible.

Wow, rude staff! Owner needs to SERIOUSLY intervene.I have a pre-existing condition that makes covid19 VERY dangerous for me. I figured going to health food store, there would be protections in place. Boy, was I wrong.Ordered my food and while waiting happened to look at the open kitchen. I happened to see one of the cooks grab my orders chips out of a bag without a glove. That's when I starter watching closer.The main cook, upon closer inspection, had no mask on nor gloves. He was talking while cooking, and even worse TOUCHING HIS NOSE & MOUTH. I saw him handling food directly after without watching his hands. For my club he touched my meat directly with his hands after wiping his nose with his hands.When my food was ready I confronted him about this. His eyes grew wide with anger and he dramatically moved his "mask up" which was basically a torn strip of cloth. He asked "what do you want me to do, remake it?" To which I responded "of course". After he SLAMMED the contaminated food into the trash can and gave me a very dirty look.He proceeded to cook everyone else's order who walked in making us wait an additional 20min for our order. At least he put on his "mask" and had a pair of gloves on this time.While waiting for such a long time I spoke to the manager and told him what was going on. He didn't seem to care and mentioned "he's probably having a bad day, I'll talk to him". I saw the "talk" and it was literally a passing statement about the complaint. The cook scowled and said "well I threw it away".No offer to comp my food, no I'm sorry, nothing in terms of customer service. Easily one of the worst experiences I've had at a restaurant - and completely unsanitary regardless of if there's a pandemic or not.
