Yes, it's Christmas Eve. 2024 my husband and I decided to go sit in the handicap parking spot at Lofton creek I look in my rearview mirror my car is nearly hit by a trailer full of kayaks I honk my horn a young man with a reindeer hat, comes out and starts screaming at me to get all the way in the parking spot. The passenger side tires were barely touching the blue line, guiding the parking spot. My husband and I are both handicapped and we were sitting there trying to enjoy our Christmas Eve morning before we go to my our Family dinner. The guide had the entire ramp and parking lot to unload his kayaks for his Guided tour. He was extremely rude screaming and yelling at me to get into the parking spot all the way because according to him I wasn't in the parking space correct. He was calling my husband Santa Claus and I told him all my children love it. Is that the best you can do I would never ever recommend this place from Amelia Island. I would find a better outfit that's more polite, especially during the Christmas season when everybody has had such a rough time and really needs to have some joy in their lives, but this gentleman was just downright rude, nasty he needs to be fired. I almost called the police because it started to get violent. He had literally blocked us in where we had to make a three point turn to get out of his handicap parking spot. You are supposed to park 3 feet away from any parking spot and he parked right on top of the handicap parking spot nearly backing his trailer into my car. This outfit that come from Amelia Island are ripping people off, charging them an arm and a leg just to go down a peaceful part of Lofton Creek in Yulee, Florida. This stretch of the creek isn't a very long trip. There are many other Natural Beautiful places in the area with More considerate Outfitters. I highly recommend finding another outfit to go on your kayak tours. Merry Christmas to All Heather Foster.

Absolutely recommend Amelia Adventures for any group looking for some outdoor fun in the Amelia Island area!I was recently in the area for a bachelorette party and we were looking for something outdoorsy to do that would be fun for our whole group. I am so glad we found this! Our group ranged in kayaking ability levels from quite adept to never-set-foot-in-one (me). Despite this, everyone in our group had a great time! For the newbies like me, you have nothing to be nervous about! I was pretty freaked out when I first got into the kayak, but our guides, Madeline and Rachel, were pros at making us all feel comfortable and prepared for the tour. The kayak is very easy to move around the water, and with just a few minutes of practice, I felt comfortable enough to start moving down the river. The guides will go at whatever pace the group wants to move. They are also very familiar with the river, and were able to point out a lot of cool plants and animals along the way. They even took us past the river's resident gator - from a safe distance! The tour lasts about 2 hours. I will admit that the last 20 minutes were the hardest for me, as my arms got pretty tired by then. But the more, ahem, athletic members of our group were totally fine. Despite this, I would absolutely recommend Amelia Adventures to anyone. Definitely check them out!

Took the kayaking tour with Allie and Will at Lofton Creek! They were absolutely amazing and personable. I'm not familiar with kayaking in jax being from Orlando; so my bf and I decided to take a guided tour as a day date. Nothing but good things to say! Complimentary photos taken are sent to you afterwards as well. We saw gators birds and learn about some wildlife along the way. Bring sunscreen and water ! Will definitely be looking at other tours they provide by the Cumberland

The five of us were given a tour by Madelyn (sorry if I got your name misspelled!), this was a really good time.We weren't experts in kayaking, but we have had previous tours at other places. This is definitely a type of tour that it you wanted something that was easy, something that was low-impact, a nice, gentle time up and down a river, getting to see some peaceful natural scenes (like in the website), I thought this truly delivered.

Looking for a way to train for an open water swim or TRI. Amelia Adventures has your back. Thomas is an Iron Man himself and can appreciate the need for a long training swim. They helped me and my training buddy to map out the tides and set us up for a 5 mile swim near Big Talbot island. They are a great family run business that you feel good supporting. Thanks for another adventure friends.

Who doesn't love adventure? An adventure is what we had. My husband I are paddlers, but we don't know tides, salt water, River/ocean confluence or Cumberland Island. We signed up fo Amelia Adventures Cumberland Island/Dungeness ruins trip. The day of our trip, winds were gusting to 16 mph and the water choppy with white caps. A brisk wind boded a lot of strong paddling. Should we go? The question was put to our group of 10. Thomas, owner and guide, was calm, professional and factual. He said, it's on the edge of whether we would go or not; it will be challenging, but it will be safe. That is exactly the information a guest needs to make a decision. We all agreed to go and we had the most wonderful adventure. Professional, knowledgeable, kind, and fun! What more can you want! Highly recommend.

What a great day! This company worked perfect for our kayak adventure needs. We needed a calm and easy spot to kayak but still fun enough to keep the older kids excited. The water was super easy to paddle through and the 2.5 hour self guided tour was a good amount of time to explore and enjoy Lofton Creek. Plus they met us at the drop off which meant no extra shuttle or wasted time. Our instructors were great and even told us to be on the lookout for a mama gator (which we saw!). Such a fun trip. We are looking forward to booking with them again and doing the Eagans Creek side or one of the guided tours. Perfect for social distancing.

My husband and I did the Lofton Creek kayak tour and really enjoyed it! Our guides Catherine and Will were awesome. They knew I had never used a sit-in kayak before and made sure I was comfortable with it. Catherine shared her knowledge of paddling and the local area and I enjoyed Will's enthusiasm to share his knowledge of the local bird life. Lofton Creek is a beautiful place to paddle. I will definitely do another trip with them next time.
