Was ok. Rice texture seem weird to me.

SOOOO GOOD. I get the chicken bowl. I love the flavor of the chicken and it is so tender. I love the option of brown rice although today I went with yellow. The tomatoes are fresh. The cilantro sauce is wonderful. And be sure to add a side of guacamole - the icing on the cake. I love this truck and it always makes my day when they are at the food court.

It was @almafusion's day at the office complex today for lunch. They have a great menu of proteins, accoutrements, and sauces that you can order in bowl, taco, burrito, or nacho form.I chose the bowl option as I am a notoriously messy eater and a bowl makes for an easier and cleaner process of shoving tasty food down my gullet. For the protein I got steak and topped it with lettuce, tomato, fajita veg, onions, cilantro, shredded cheese, guacamole, and sautéed corn. It sat on a bed of yellow rice and i sauced it with salsa verde, sour cream, and cilantro sauce. With all those options, it had no choice but to be delicious. Alma Fusion is a definite recommend. Give them a follow so you can stalk them out in these streets.

Favorite Friday of the month: #foodtruckfriday!Alma Food truck was at the OPCC for the night so we were excited to try it.I ordered the shrimp tacos on corn tortillas with jalapenos, black beans, cheese and salsa verde. I didn't want to put too much on them as I wanted to taste the flavor of the shrimp. I also ordered their chips and guacamole. The shrimp was so big that it was falling off of the tacos. They doubled the tortillas so they wouldn't fall apart as they sometimes do. The shrimp was cooked to perfection. Juicy and delicious. The guac was good but I thought it needed some salt. Can't wait to try them again!

This truck was outside our office building one windy Friday. I was a little confused when I saw the Alma Food Truck. According to all the reviews and pictures for an Alma Food Truck, there was a red food truck, that is pretty decked out, this day had a white truck that was pretty plain. The menu was very hard to read since it's was in dry erase and it was a sunny lunch afternoon. I was handed a paper menu, yay! Much easier to read. I went for the chicken, steak and pork belly with no jalapeno or guacamole. WOW. Best tacos I have ever had(minus the pork belly), I'm not a "taco" guy but I do know what tastes good and these tacos taste very good. 3 tacos for 10 bucks I recall. They also offer bowls and burritos too if tacos aren't your thing, I might go for one of those next time.

I'm entering some uncharted territory here - it's so hipster it hurts- Food Truck Reviews. But listen, before you dismiss this mention of food on wheels, let me explain. I came across this convenient dining offering when I was attending a goodbye outing for my friend Megan who is moving to Delaware. Can we have a moment of silence for the Jacksonville about to be departed to up North? On this bitter-sweet occasion, we were enjoying some beverages and rehashing memories at Aardwolf - some know it as a brewery, I know it as the backdrop for game night. While the brewery has a nice little list of beers that make right there, they do not serve food.Enter Alma. Some Taco TalkParked right outside Aardwolf sat a truck with a little of taco delights. Now I started by asking a rather embarrassing and totally revealing of my lack of authenticity question - do you have ground beef. OK, I but I love spicy ground beef tacos, so I figured I'd start there. Alas, I had to opt for steak instead. The girl who worked in the truck said this would be better. My friend Philippe was enthusiastically helped me navigate the menu and choose the steak tacos. He even translated my ground beef question. My friend Megan had tried the shrimp tacos and said they were good. Her husband tried the Ramen Burrito and liked it. I was starving and ready for any of it.In lickety split time - especially for a food truck with all of its fancy made to order items - I got my food. I grabbed a ramekin of siracha and one of the verde salsa, thinking it never hurts to have a little extra spice on hand. These sauces were completely unnecessary. Between splash of avocado from the (not nearly enough, especially for how delicious it was) guacamole and the fresh jalapenos, there was plenty of spice and even more flavor. The steak tasted amazing. The Alma Taco Truck TakeawaysI learned a few things from this little adventure:1. Hunger is nature's greatest spice.2. Second to that is the talent of chefs - and in this case the Alma chefs proved that they know how to handle flavor.3. Food trucks aren't all overpriced-seatingless-overhyped-overspecialty-itemed vehicles. 4. Some have tasty, perfectly priced treats.5. If you're ordering 2 zesty tacos from Alma don't share with your roomie or get 2 orders. It's too delicious to just have one!

It's basically 4 degrees outside of our business park today, but this family is out here hustling and I respect that. Then to see the amount of TLC they put into my tacos was really special! They are some of the most beautiful tacos I've ever seen! The steak Juanito Taco was interesting! It ate a little sweet at first until you hit the jalapeño and then wow! The chicken adobo was underwhelming for me. It looks vibrant and bright but tasted fairly vanilla. Maybe the slaw can be tossed in some kind of vinegar pepper sauce or something? Why both sour cream and avocado? Wouldn't order this taco again. The shrimp taco was a little fishy for me. Then the spice overcame all the fishiness and blew my mouth out. :(Overall, I wish that I'd eaten the tacos in reverse order and that they tasted as good as they looked! I may return and try something else because the flavors were inventive and I believe in supporting families. I hope Alma takes feedback and steps it up!

I really wasn't in the mood for tacos until I saw that this food truck was near by. Thanks to Mark's menu pics and food photos I quickly changed my tune and headed over to the business they were outside of. They weren't busy at all by the time I arrived (around 12:45ish) and it was beginning to rain making people run for cover. Not me, I grabbed an umbrella and paraded myself up to the window. I really didn't know what kind to get but I definitely knew it would be tacos. Taking a minute to look over the menu again. I choose 3: "The Asian One" - sesame pork belly, pickled red cabbage, cotija cheese, caramel sauce, cilantro "The Good Manok" - adobo chicken, guacamole, roasted peppers, cilantro, balsamic strawberry glaze "Steak Juanito" - 24 hrs sous vide beef, roasted peppers, avocado, jalapenos, caramel sauceThe lady taking my order was very pleasant and Alejandro was busy preparing my tacos. I might've waited 5 mins or so and my tacos were ready. I bid them farewell and headed back to the office. At first they didn't seem like much but when I started to eat each one I was pretty amazed. The combination of flavors in each taco was amazing. I'm not a fan of cabbage but that pickled cabbage in the Asian One taco...yummo. I didn't even taste like cabbage anymore. That pork belly was delish and cooked just right. The adobo chicken in the Good Manok with the balsamic strawberry glaze was great. They had me at strawberry. The Steak Juanito was awesome as well. I will say that I thought about pulling the jalapenos off but everything else in it cut that fresh hot and spicy taste so it didn't overpower it. Three tacos was just enough for a lunch portion and I was good for the rest of the afternoon. I do hope that they will continue to grow as their menu is innovative and their prices are reasonable. Much success to them in the future! I will be back!

I'll definitely give Alma another try sometime. The menu is interesting and well-priced, and the ingredients are fresh, and prepared in a surprisingly healthful manner as far as I can tell. But man -- I tried the #3 pork in a rice bowl, and it was as bland as retirement home oatmeal. There were supposed to be jalapeños in the slaw, but if there were, they were well disguised. I also assume there was supposed to be salt as well, even if it wasn't listed on the menu, but it was also not in evidence. They had plenty of hot sauces available to add one, but the green one I took didn't do much to add flavor (and I don't really think it should be on the diner to experiment). If they get more aggressive with the flavors, the food could be really great at Alma.

Ramen Burritos are REAL and Alma has mastered them! I got the Steak Juanito Ramen Burrito with 24hr sous vide steak, guacamole, roasted peppers, jalapeños and cotija cheese. It has a great kick with the jalapeños, but was balances with the creamy guac and cotija cheese. This was a party in my mouth, so I'm so looking forward to having another Alma party! The burrito also came with a side of chips and salsa (which was fresh and delicious!)The team working in the truck were super friendly and very quick, to boot. Looking forward to trying them again!!
