I really like coming here.I'm not going to say much about the theatre aspect other than this: the performers work incredibly hard and have never been anything less than good; sometimes, they're absolutely excellent. The sets are usually a little kitschy, but hey, it's a dinner theatre...not a Broadway show. Go in looking to have fun, and you'll have fun.I'll talk more about the food: it's usually good with the occasional highlight and occasional lowlight. The salads are usually fantastic; I can't think of a local place that's more reliably served me fresh, flavorful produce in their salad mixes than Alhambra. The desserts vary, as sometimes they're solid but other times they taste a bit like they came off a cafeteria tray. My biggest food hesitation here has become any entrée with the term "mixed vegetables". I've had three vegetarian dishes featuring "mixed vegetables" and each time, the veggies have been limp and bitter and weirdly heavy on bell pepper; they taste like they were purchased frozen and in bulk and like not much was done to disguise that. (Most recently, this was the case for the chow mein at Gypsy, which -- due to the poor vegetables and the too-salty sauce -- everyone at the table who ordered it sent it back.) I really wish the vegetarian entree tended to be better, especially as folks I have gone with have spoken highly of their meat entrées, including the lamb at Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. But at the end of the day, I respect that it's really hard to come up with a limited menu that can feed a lot of people with a lot of preferences in a short period of time.(A quick aside to address: why 5 stars when the food isn't that level? Because the overall experience is.)Oh, the best part of the meal? Usually the rolls. And that's a compliment to the rolls. They're delicious. I could eat a dozen. As far as the drinks, the cocktails sometimes taste a bit watered down but are reasonably priced (as are the wines!). They do a surprisingly good piña colada!Service is usually good; at Gypsy, our server was Caitlin, and she was absolutely top notch. I'd request her each time if I could! And a quick shoutout to the upgraded chairs. They make sitting for dinner and the show much more comfortable. The theatre does tend to feel a bit crowded if the show has sold well (and most seem to!); I wouldn't take someone with major claustrophobia here, but I usually feel like I have space to scoot my seat back enough to stand up. My final acknowledgement goes to one show in particular: Rocky Horror Picture Show. There is no meal (although I'd love to see how they themed it!), but OMG what a show. It's unabashed, raunchy, delicious fun with a cast that is so obviously having a blast that it is utterly contagious even to folks who may not have a pre-existing love of Rocky. It's only performed around Halloween but is something I catch myself looking forward to throughout the year. It sells out fast for a good reason. So overall, come in with the right expectations, and you'll have a good time here. This is a place that feels special to our city.

The Alhambra Theatre is a true local gem, blending rich history with modern-day performances to offer a truly captivating theater experience. Located in a beautifully restored building. The theater exudes old-world charm while delivering contemporary shows that appeal to a wide range of audiences. From the moment you step inside, you're transported to a different era. The ornate architecture, intricate detailing, and plush seating create an atmosphere of grandeur that makes each visit feel special. The lobby, adorned with vintage touches, sets the tone for the show ahead, and the intimate yet spacious auditorium ensures that no matter where you sit, you're in for a great view. The staff at the Alhambra are friendly and welcoming. The concessions are reasonably priced, offering a selection of snacks and drinks to enjoy during the show. Parking is generally convenient, though it can get crowded during peak times, so it's worth arriving a little early.I had the opportunity to see The Christmas Story show and it was great!! The food was surprisingly good too. My overall experience was very enjoyable!! I will be back!!

What a lovely night my hubby and I had at the alhambra! Never been before and I live right around the corner.Get you tickets early- shows often sell out. We ended up having to switch shows due to unexpected work travel, but it was easy to change our tickets over the phone. I think the value is spot on for dinner and the show! Drinks are not included, but it's a generous wine pour, or the bottles were reasonable too.For our show the wedding singer I enjoyed a salad, seafood newburg, and wedding cake. The seafood newburg was a bit of a heavy dish, but I was very impressed at how much seafood was in the dish (delicious scallops, shrimp & white fish! Perfectly cooked too!) My husband LOVED his chicken cordon bleu. Our waiter was very polite & attentive & accommodating. The show was fun, funny, and entertaining. Very well cast! Loved all the costume changes. Good acoustics. Easy to see & hear everything. My only complaint is the chairs are pretty uncomfortable. Between dinner & the show we were sitting over 3.5 hours. Also I would have been nice to have water pitchers on the table during the show. Def rec going at least once. I know lots of folls that buy season tix.

We went to the Alhambra and I had a decent enough meal. The show was supposed to begin at 7:50. At 8:30 the show still hadnt started. Nobody explained anything so we decided to pack it in. We are sick of them and we're never going back again. Actually we got banned.

Looking for an exceptional dining and entertainment experience? Look no further than the Alhambra theater, which has recently undergone renovations to create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. I was treated to this amazing experience by Vanessa T as a birthday present. What a wonderful gift and friend I have.Once you enter the establishment, enjoy a pre-show drink at the bar and prepare for a sumptuous three-course meal served before the performance. The food is of the highest quality, reminiscent of wedding or cruise ship cuisine. The show itself is fantastic, with talented actors who sing, dance, and perform with precision and passion. For a unique and memorable evening out, choose the Alhambra theater for dinner and a show, you will not be disappointed.

We saw Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Coat, it was awesome! We arrived around 12.15pm for the Sunday matinee. I ordered the pasta salad, lamb chops and berry cake. It was delicious. My friends ordered the lasagna and they were satisfied too. Our server was so sweet and she ensured our needs were met for the entire meal time.I didn't know what to expect of the show but it was nothing I could've imagined. It was so good, the singing and different genres of music was hilarious. The acting was good as well as the singing. We were on the floor but the way the Alhambra is set up every seat is great. I love going to the Alhambra!

My husband bought me a gift certificate years ago and after a couple bookings that had to be cancelled we finally went. I was blown away and am mad at myself for waiting so long! Many times when you go to an entertainment venue with food, you end up with rubber chicken or buffet type food but their meals were delicious. I loved my meal but envied every other plate I saw and feel I would have been happy with any of the meals. The service was friendly and efficient, especially considering they were serving so many simultaneously. The ambiance is very fun and classy. I am already planning my next couple trips. Don't wait, book now

Went to see Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat - absolutely enjoyed the night! The food was really good - I ordered the hummus as an appetizer and the lamb entree. Both were surprisingly delicious. Had a few drinks which were great and well-priced. They sit you down for the three-course meal, and once dinner is over the show starts. The performers were all super talented and I thoroughly enjoyed it. A few things to note before you go. First, since you eat the three-course dinner before the show, the whole ordeal can be long (think 4 hours) so be prepared for that! Second, the seating is a funky because there are many seats available on the left and right of the stage, but those seats do not have a great view (especially in the far corners) and are closer to the speakers. If I go again I will try to get seats in the front facing the stage/actors.
