A solid Middle Eastern grocer, I am assuming probably Lebanese owners--this can make some difference per things they carry. They have a good selection of Levantine and Egyptian goods, less Turkish and little if any Persian or things from the Maghreb west of Egypt for that matter. Good selection of canned goods, teas, coffee--really good on coffee--some baklava, other sweets, and cooking ingredients. They had jallab and grenadine syrups but alas no mint syrups (I'll just have to find a Moroccan grocer for that I suppose). Olive oil selection is ok but a bit sub-par for a Levantine grocer. All in all, a good grocer though and contrary to what other reviewers remarked, I found the staff very friendly as well.

Nice meditteranean full grocery store with baked goods, sandwiches and hand-pies among so much more.I was craving and ordered the Beef Shawarma: hefty sandwich with lots of fillings, the spice on the meat was a bit lacking for my preference though.

Customer service at its core, comes from basic manners. The person working the counter today lacked that. He was too busy tapping his phone screen to say hello, provide any greeting, or say a single word to us during our transaction. In fact, we waited for him to finish with his phone before he decided to make the effort to silently check out our purchases. This is the second time dealing with this person (and our last time time coming here). This place gets three stars on a normal day, as they consistently have expired items still on the shelf, so customers have to pay extra attention to what they're buying before bringing expired food home. But the lack of common decency displayed by this person sealed the deal. There are other Arabic stores, like Hala, that I would recommend going to any day over this place.

Found this Arabic grocery, due to another one that didn't have everything we needed and they recommended this one to us. They had everything we needed and plus more! We bought two sandwiches that were meat or chicken kabob at the counter. I preferred the meat as it had more garlic, but that's just my opinion. Nice and friendly staff from Syria!!

AlBasha gets their fresh produce delivered once a week. Fresh sweets and bakery items as well. They started selling fresh falafel sandwiches everyday except Sunday. Come in and tell the staff you'd like one (or a few) and get them ready and wrapped in no time. And they aren't expensive either. (My husband bought 5 for us and friends, plus a few yogurt drinks for around $30. So they have to be just under $5 each.) They came dressed with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and sauce. Ours weren't hot, but very tasty. They are fresh made, trust me, you can smell the fresh fried falafel when you walk in. Wrapped in paper I was able to finish my sandwich in the car without getting it everywhere, so that's a plus. (Sometimes, I eat messier than a toddler, I stayed spotless. That's a plus, cause sandwiches can get messy, yo!) I also grabbed a few hard to find sweets and a super yummy lemon drink from the cooler. Fresh pita is a staple at home, so I grabbed a pack of local made for $2- the one without a label is made over on Merrill Rd. and the best pita in Jax.) They do carry Village Bread (also local) and Cedars (from Orlando) pita bread, but I haven't tried it because I'm loyal to Pita Bakery/ Milad. So come by, grab a drink and groceries and an awesome falafel wrap! Thank you AlBasha
