1985 Coffee

Met a friend and fellow yelp elite here Saturday morning. We both tried the seasonal peppermint latte and got a baked good to pair with our hot caffeinated beverage as well. Upon ordering, the staff asks if you would like your pastry heated up (I loved this) yes of course; please and thank you. Very much appreciated as we went from summer temps last week to winter temps overnight (no fall) We picked a table in the open, spacious dining room area to sit and wait for our coffee and baked dish. The food and drink arrived at a decent time and both were hot. The seasonal peppermint beverage was not very peppermint-y at all but honestly it was still good. I was hoping for more of a seasonal outcome but the latte still hit the spot. My banana bread was good. Nothing outstanding but again it's banana bread. I would order it again. As we sat, the coffee shop got more and more busy. Seems like this establishment has good chi and flow! One major downside: parking. There are maybe 6 spots to the side of the shop. I got there when it wasn't busy at all and yet there was still zero parking. I checked the lot behind the building and they had some spots but was unsure if it was safe to park there without getting towed since that is a separate business. I ended up making my own spot after circling the place twice not knowing where to park without getting towed. When it was time to leave, 1985 was packed. I noticed someone made their own parking spot right behind my car blocking me in (giant black suv) Thankfully my friend gave me a ride to our next destination which was close by. After an hour, when 1985 had just closed for the day, we went back to check on my car and it was not blocked in anymore. I would definitely recommend this coffee shop but strongly suggest carpooling if you can.

I love this little gem in Mayport! I almost don't want to post about it because it's such a special little spot, but in my love for yelp and all things local .....The secondyou pull up you are welcomed to this fresh and warm and inviting little home turned coffee house. It's an open concept with lots of community tables as well as small ones for visiting. There are even tall counters with plugs to charge up and do some work. There is an adorable outdoor patio as well. I love the way it's decorated...clean, comfortable and charming. Now what you came here for....THE COFFEE!!! ONE WORD: YUMMMMMMMMMIt's a hard decision what to get as everything is unique and good. I reallyappreciatewhen the batista listens to what you like and then gives her suggestions. I had 3 and I was ohhh..ing and awwww..ing at what to get! I decided on the special pumpkin latte with a pumpkin foam! In a reregular cup. It was fantastic! My friend got the flight of 4 fall drinks and I was wishing I did too after I saw it. It was beautiful and I'm a sucker for the pretty drinks! I went on their first coffee bingo night and it was fun. If you won bingo you got a coupon for a free drink. 10 games and I didn't win a single one! But...It was so enjoyable and I cant wait to go back!

Wanna chill, 1985 Coffee has that "Sweet" Spot in my heart and especially in my belly. Your order comes quick and the coffee is supreme, my family and I had the Flight including the Honey Comb and Lavender. Honey Comb was definitely the winner.

I decided to try an Iced Latte with the Dutton May syrup. It was pretty good, though the flavor wasn't as strong as I'd hoped--it almost tasted like an oat latte. I do appreciate that the syrups aren't overwhelmingly sweet, though. I'd rate it 6/10.They have some intriguing seasonal drinks right now that look worth trying, so I might give one a go next time. The place is spacious, making it a great spot to catch up with friends over coffee!

Cute little place that is actually not so little. Good open and airy indoor seating as well as some outside seating available in the back. Service was quick, helpful.Coffee and a bite to go-Banana Pudding coffee, skim milk- good flavor, not overly sweet as a plus.Avocado toast- good, but pretty basic and I wish the toast was crispier. Greens were fresh.Will be back and try other items, somewhat pricier than a few nearby places.

Cute new coffee shop! I went at the end of April. Yes, I'm slow at reviews - eek. Sorry! Buuuuut ... we went on a Sat morning at about 8:30 am. The place is definitely bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside! Also, cute outdoor area, pet friendly.Funny thing, I'm not really a coffee drinker. Everyone else I know mostly is. So, here we are. Haha. I actually liked it! Wasn't crazy bitter or super sweet, like some places. Thanks! Service was quick, friendly, and helpful with suggestions. It's definitely a cute spot to check out! Parking does get kind of packed, I saw some people park at the gas station lot next door for their grab and go. We snagged a nice spot in their lot, and big trucks rolled in, too! I'm just glad my friend drove. Parking makes me nervous if I feel like I'll get stuck, but that's just me. I need a professional driver. Haha. Mayport definitely has some hidden gems starting to shine in the area. Thanks!

Went to 1985 coffee for my caffeine fix and the place is so chill. Definitely great spot close to the beach. Although they were slammed and had a line out the door. They were able to get orders in and knock out that line. Will definitely visit again when I'm in the area.

Cute new spot off Mayport road. Coffee and treats are delicious. The atmosphere is very cute with lots of space to enjoy. Very friendly staff and I look forward to returning to try more goodies! Plus they have a pup friendly patio!

The word that comes to mind for this coffee shop is quaint.It's a perfect place to come and relax for a while, do some work, or chat with friends.The coffee is delicious. In fact, my mom said it was her favorite latte she's had anywhere at the beaches!The food is simple cafe food, but it gets the job done.Overall, this is a perfect place to go for a chill time and great bold coffee.

Coffee wasn't top tier. I'd say 7.5/10! Not super strong so if that's your thing this is your spot! Even with half the amount of syrup! But not bad enough to not come back! The workers are super super sweet and friendly! Atmosphere 10/10! I imagine this is super great to meet up with friends, have a Bible study or do some schoolwork! I will be back for sure!
