Jackson’s Catfish Corner

Stopped by for an early dinner, plenty of street parking in the area.We ordered:Catfish Fillet Dinner with hush puppies & greensSide of Corn BreadPeach CobblerBoyyyyyyy oh boy, loved everything. I really enjoyed the catfish fillets. Perfectly seasoned, crispy and the sauce is basically drenchable. I added hot sauce because how do I even enjoy food without something spicy?The greens were spectacular, tender greens simmered with smoky based meat. I could eat this every day! Hush puppies, although in general I'm not a fan, these were really good. They have seasonings and onion inside. Nice and crispy, served piping hot!Corn bread was soft, moist and fluffy but still dense to call it Corn bread. Only thing I would say is I with the Corn bread was served warm with a side of butter. Peach Cobbler - FINALLY a place that toasts the top, I hate when I get a Cobbler and the crust isn't crispy. Here it was, it was served hot with a nice perfect layer of toasted crust! Finally someone doing it right!Everything was served piping hot, no complaint there. It was a meal me and my son enjoyed and we are definitely coming back! I want to try other items on the menu. I see that they get a little rush weekdays around 4pm, FYI. Service was excellent, friendly, informative and straight to the point. The cashier was fully aware of the customers and provided a friendly sense of urgency. Ambience bright and GREAT for photos. Warm inside on a cold seattle day! So Temperature is well controlled. It's clean open and bright. Great for enjoying with family/friends. Would really consider using them to cater in the future, I'm impressed with the catfish fillets and honestly everything!

The catfish here is phenomenal. Truly. Probably the best catfish you can get in Seattle. My only issue (and I'm not sure it's been resolved since I've been) is that they close irregularly and that's not reflected on Yelp or their website. After several attempts on multiple occasions I was finally able to come and order but their card system was down and they were only able to take cash. I'd highly recommend calling ahead, and if you're able to reach them then ordering should be swift and the food is great!

The owner went over and beyond to ensure that we had a phenomenal experience . The tea is elite and the catfish is chefs kiss! I can't wait to go back again !

TRUCK REVIEW Was extremely excited and happy Jackson's Catfish came back to Skyway. Went right away they were parked by the Chevron station. Food was great. Service little slow but I was a bit impatient. The following week I couldn't find the truck nowhere. No news online. Then today driving through Skyway I hit the light by the 7-11.. To my surprise there was the truck along side the 7-11. The tucked in there. I couldn't tell if it was open. It was. Place my order. One other customer was waiting. It took forever! I got home and I was missing my fries! Ugh! Should've checked my bag. The food was just as good. I just hope they leave the truck in the same place and a schedule posted somewhere i can find it.

My other review was taken down since it was getting attention so I'll rewrite it here. I witnessed the owner yelling at a woman in his car, presumably his wife. He said "If you disrespect me again I'll slap the shit out of you." He was making such a scene I considered calling the police but they then went into the restaurant to finish closing. Inside, he continued yelling at the woman in front of a child and other staff. Food is good, ambiance is cool, but given this situation I will not be supporting catfish corner anymore. I hope both the woman and child are safe.

Oohhh, if you want some good ol' catfish this is where to go! I had seen many recommendations online to check this place out so I had to! The restaurant appears to look new or maybe it is just well maintained. It is a large space. When we arrived, there were a few people in line. We ordered the captain's platter, corn bread, rice and beans, greens, and sweet iced tea. Pricing was such a deal! They accept cash or Cash App. The employees were very friendly. We received our food and wow! Everything was delicious! The batter they use is excellent! The greens were cooked to perfection. I thought it was going to be salty. Rice and beans are simple, but theirs is really good. For fried foods, it wasn't so oily. The dipping sauce was also tasty.Highly recommend if in Seattle!

The food has always been excellent and the employees are always nice and friendly. My issue with Jackson's was solely when they made the awful decision to go "Cash Only." That has since been resolved and like any other business in the 21st century, Jackson's now accepts credit cards! Good job, I will now resume with giving you all my business.

We came here for dinner and thought it was pretty good. Ordering was easy and the people here are nice.We ended up getting the catfish sandwich and fries.The sandwich itself was pretty big (compared to other fish sandwiches I had). I also like that he cut it in half and the packaging was sturdy and safe so it wouldn't get mushed. The sandwich itself was good. I like the lightness of the fish. The flavor came from mostly the sauce but it was tasty. The fries was ok. Not the best. It wasn't crispy but has this starchy -potato taste that I don't like. It does need a little more seasoning or you can use ketchup.Overall, pretty good place to try catfish :)

Wow!!! So delicious! My husband and I had this place on our minds for a while because we are huge catfish fans. The food was beyond our expectations! Fresh quality ingredients packed with tons of flavor!! We brought our 4 kids and they all loved it as well. The catfish is cooked perfectly with seasoning and crispness just the way it's supposed to be. The services also goes above and beyond. Our waitress was super fast and very friendly. She quickly got tables and chairs together to accommodate us all so we could dine in. The owner checked on us and is very down to earth. We will be back again soon. This place has climbed to our top favorites list in Seattle!!! We enjoyed our experience and highly recommend!!

I was recommended by a guy I was working with to try this catfish place out. To my surprise it was a black owned ? Especially since the guy that told me about didn't look like the type that would eat here . I love to support black businesses butttt...Here we go.. I get in there to see it's just a few people standing around waiting and another person sitting at a nearby table . I felt a cool vibe ...15 mins later ( I was really considering leaving if I hadn't gotten to order in about 1 more minute) oh blah blah blah and ok what's your order. I proceed to place my order . Went to take a leak and wash my hands after a long day of work ..oops no working restroom(damn) ok let me sit down, tables dirty , ok my order ready I'm out ..I'll eat in the car Thank you. Food was ahh ok ..20 dollar catfish sandwich was good, fries were extremely salty , ice tea was basically ( tasted like powdered Lipton) extremely sweet. Glad I don't have diabetes but I felt if I eat here again I would ( No thanks) will not be getting my hard earned money again. Sen the soo called busy order taker outside along with the cook taking thier well deserved smoke break amongst the homeless.
