Decided to try this place out for my birthday dinner, and was absolutely wowed. The meats were all of superb quality, and the seasonings on them were delicious. And unlike some all you can eat places, rather than bringing you a little bit at a time and hoping you get bored or full on very little, they bring a heaping portion out every time. The sides were phenomenal as well: amazing fried chicken that was crispy on the outside yet still juicy and sweet on the inside, fantastic pork dumplings that were nearly all pork instead of a bunch of filler, and one of the best and most unique potato salads I've ever had. The sweet and spicy rice cakes were good too, but I can't really describe them. Very dense and gooey, but in a good way. When I first got there, I had to ask about the rice cakes and the fried chicken, because the online menu shows them, but the menu on the table doesn't. Apparently the menu got a new design that accidentally left them off, they're still available. All of the staff was friendly, patient with our long list of questions since we had never been to Korean BBQ before, and bent over backwards to meet our needs. They were promptly attentive about getting more food and refilling drinks, without being intrusive or constantly hovering over us. Just all around nice people who were clearly happy to have us there.Another plus, no obnoxiously loud music blaring in your ear while you are trying to have a conversation. All in all, one of the best birthday dinners I've ever had, and I can't recommend this place enough.

It is really yummy. A bit pricey ( $21 a person for lunch and $40 for dinner) but their are unlimited combinations and courses. Go hungry. The decore is cool too.

Excellent food if you want to eat for 2 hours or you order a Box meal which is more food than you can finish. Chicken, filet, ribeye, kimchi, dumplings, rice and dumplings. You cook it all on your table. Of course, your waitress will help you get started. A full bar is available. The big screen is similar to a Vegas Casino. Truly an experience you will talk to friends and family the next time you entertain. We have been to J's several times and we will definitely return in the future.Relax and Enjoy! Ciao Bella RonyX

Good experience overall! This is one of the only AYCE KBBQ experiences around Nashville & we were not disappointed.Came on a Saturday at 6:45 pm without a reservation & were sat immediately. Plenty of parking. The vibe of the restaurant is very modern, large, with a bar area & tvs everywhere showing the Final Four. Despite no direct air vents over the grills, it was not very smoky at all.How it works is you have a 2 hour time limit. The sides are all unlimited too which was awesome. For the meat, you get to select 2 meats at a time for the grill. They ask that you keep the 2 meats the same type - both beef, pork, chicken, etc, as they are instructed to switch the grill for each meat type. So we did a round of beef bulgogi & beef brisket, then switched to pork bulgogi & pork belly, then finished it off with another round of beef brisket & J Street steak. Our waitress was really friendly & helpful! She was a little slow getting to us at the beginning, but she had a huge party she was taking care of that sat down right before we did, so we definitely understand.Quality was really good! Can't say it rivals NYC or ATL of course, but we'll definitely be back!

Pretty cool spot. We came during lunch time on a Saturday and got seated right away. Since it was a Saturday, it was dinner price for their AYCE. There's a two hour max, but everything came out pretty quick so you'll have plenty of time to eat. They had so many options for their sides. I really liked the Japchae and beef soup a lot. Their beef for the beef soup was very soft and tender like it's been simmering for hours. The flavors for both the Japchae and beef soup were also very yummy. They even had fried chicken as a side. I liked their fried chicken. The kimchi and cucumber kimchi wasn't bad. For meats, we only got to try the J street steak and beef bulgogi. We got full first so we didn't get other proteins. Both meats were very soft and tender. They had a variety of drinks options, which was nice. Their bar section is pretty big. In all, we didn't have a bad experience. The restaurant was nice and clean, and the server was pretty friendly.

As authentic as the United States is going to get to an authentic Korean BBQ. We were invited to eat here by our daughter, who studied in Korea, and she led us through the entire experience. (The spoons are even the extra long handled ones that are prevalent in Korea.) Great staff that is well trained to give you all the information about how to experience this traditional Korean meal. The restaurant itself gives off a large open sports bar vibe and thats great since this is not a quiet meal. Lots of sharing the sound of sizzling meat.I was told, meat is meat, it all comes down to the marinades/sauces and sides (banchan). According to my expert, J Street has excellent banchan, many of which she has not seen since leaving Korea plus the sauces were spot on. She did not get to try all of her favorites as we were here for lunch and several banchan are served as part of the dinner experience.I was told the pork belly is cut thinner than in Korea, thus it is harder to get a good crunch on the outside.

Service: 5/5Food: 3.5/5Ambiance: 5/5ServiceTop notch. We had wonderful servers who were kind, offered recommendations and walked us through the menu and processes thoroughly. FoodThe meat seems like good quality, especially enjoyed the brisket - it had just the right amount of fat on it. If you keep it rolled up during cooking, it stays a bit juicer FYI. The pork bulgogi and first ribeye were super tender and seasoned well! The second ribeye we got was insanely salty though and we found the spicy pork belly and cucumber kimchi were bland. Their kimchi and Japchae were fantastic, oh yeah - the brisket sauce too! AmbianceIt's spacious, clean and seats were comfy. Can't ask for more. If AYCE KBBQ isn't your thing, get their small bites, some beers and watch the games! Overall, I think this is a great place and welcomed addition to the area. It would be nice to have a cheaper AYCE option though. Oh yeah, we also got boba! The flavor of the drinks were very good , but the boba was undercooked and hard. I'd still recommend it though!

So I will say this place is good but it's definitely Americanized Korean BBQ. Which not a bad thing at all, it honestly was pretty great. Ordered the all you can eat option and tried the bulgogi beef and the Hawaiian one. Both were super yummy, tried pretty much all the sides. The kimchi was meh, cucumbers were yummy tho, the ramen trash and flavorless and not spicy at all. The potato salad was also a no for me personally, it tasted store bought. The rice cakes were good but also kind of tasted chef Boyardee sauce with some spice lol but the chewy texture was on point. The bibimbap was ok, a little on lacking flavor side. I also ordered bubble tea I ordered the lowest amount of sugar but it was so unbearably sweet I couldn't drink it. Also ordered it with the lychee jelly and it came with popping boba. Lastly ordered the chicken bulgogi and spicy chicken. Both were good as well. Oh and the radish wraps were perfect and made the whole experience better for me lol I loved those. Would go again for sure

Very surprised by our visit for AYCE Korean BBQ. This restaurant was much larger than we thought and lots of options on the menu. The staff was nice and our server Danni gets 5 stars! I have done AYCE Korean before (many times) and this one was a little different. You get to choose 2 meats and 3 Banchans (sides) for the table per round/order. That was a little odd, because they consider rice and wrappers as sides. Plus it's nice when all the traditional Korean banchans are out on a table. But our server was great and we figured out how to time is so we can get what we wanted with our meal. I just don't know how large groups would do that? Maybe consider 2 banchan requests per customer for each round? Banchan and meat portions were good. Also meat quality was great. Really good Bulgogi and pork belly. Kimchi was good and we really went because they had radish wrappers! We haven't seen those in Nashville, just lettuce usually. Now if they had rice wrappers and fish cake that would be awesome! Also no steamed egg here. They put Yum Yum sauce in your trio of sauces which we thought was odd. They do have Mac & Cheese, Fries and Chicken Nuggets (their version) as sides, if your kiddo is not a Korean BBQ fan - that was cool. The offer vanilla, chocolate or strawberry ice cream at the end but we were full. Food overall was good. Very clean and great ventilation - you didn't smell at all like you came out of a Korean BBQ Restaurant. Also, lots of seating options, especially for groups and parties which was cool. Full bar and food drink/beer selection - wish they had Hite beer on the list.

Haven't been here in a while because of school and work but had time to come for lunch today with my friend. I've written a review before that mentioned Lindsey and how great of a job she does. Me and my friend had her as our waitress today and she continues to be the best waitress I could ask for. She always makes you feel welcomed and provides great service. The food was amazing as always and the environment is outstanding as well.
