J&M Chinese Cuisine

I stopped in at J&M Chinese Cuisine at 9501 W Peoria Avenue in Sun City a couple of weeks ago. I moved to this part of town a year ago and it is the closest Chinese restaurant so I figured I should probably try it for lunch. It is a small, clean Chinese place with several booths and a few tables. A "hole in the wall" family business. Service was prompt. My waiter told me that the restaurant had been in the area 30 years. There were several people already seated when I got there and many more coming in for take out orders. I ordered pot stickers and a human shrimp lunch special. The pot stickers were ok- not home made, but the sauce was good. The lunch special came with egg drop soup (made thick with cornstarch), choice of rice, a crab puff (not real crab), and the smallest egg roll I've ever seen - it couldn't have been more than 1.5" long. The human shrimp was flavorful and they didn't skimp on shrimp; I didn't try the crab puff and the egg roll was mostly flavorless. They could have left it off and I wouldn't be mad about it. The lunch entree portion was decent and I noticed they had similar combinations for dinner. While the restaurant is not one I would recommend for a date night or dinner out, it is a serviceable American Chinese restaurant. It's one I would go to if I had a taste for quick Chinese for lunch near home.

The lunch specials were so good that I think we'll make this a regular thing! We didn't eat there so just pick up but everything was delicious and the guy who gave us our food was very kind. I don't know why there are bad reviews but we had a good experience and will definitely be back. There aren't many Chinese cuisine places in the area so I'm happy this place is pretty close to home. Oh I almost forgot to list what we had: I had the vegetable chop suey and my husband has the sweet and sour pork. Yummy!

Food had no flavor. We got the $86 Dinner B. The Kung Poa Chicken had all celery, no chicken, no flavor AT ALL! The orange chicken was dry. Sweet and sour was the only one that may had some flavor. The Lo Mein was ok. Egg drop soup was okay. It's sad when the egg drop is the best part of the menu. When we came to pick it up the lady up front had no personality. We saw that when we went inside it has tables and everything but it's for pick up only. I wouldn't recommend here. We spent so much for the worst Chinese place I have ever been too.

Hello yelpers, this Family owned business is terrific. The corner restaurant is delicious. Order Togo, Order delivery. The quality to quantity is valuable. Yummy authentic Chinese cuisine. They are very friendly and food is fresh hot out of the wok. Come enjoy, make this weekly Chinese Meal for the one person or families plus. Peace and Many Rich Blessings to All

The rudest Chinese lady ever. I'm not going back service was terrible food isn't that good small little place with cliche decorations. This lady drove me over the edge with her commentary like I cant understand. She called me disgusting. I had just got done with my shift as diesel tech and I got treated like this. She's disgusting with her attitude and her service she needs to learn some manners. Beware if you eat here. You will get judge.

This little Chinese restaurant has been here for many many years, and it's no wonder why. The food portions are large and the food is made to order, so no heating lamps. I love ordering the Chicken egg foo young and they do not disappoint. 3 Large Egg Foo Young Pattie's smothered in Mushroom gravy are made to order and server in those cool self sealing paper boxes that can contain a rabbit squirrel. Wait times are low, but remember food is made to order. Overall, this is among the best food around all of Peoria!

The dishes we ordered were all tastySoft ribs, flavourful beef and veg and noodles. We spent over $60 on 4 dishes and an appetizer. That said. It would be nice if the dishes filled the containers or they packed a full medium sized container of riceThere should have been a container of rice for each dish ordered. Rice & noodles are inexpensive. Don't cheap out

If there is nothing else open...It is not the best I've ever had but they try. If I saw a different chines restaurant I would the that one first.

I just moved to this part of town and I love me a good hole in the wall chinese spot and this restaurant has been 10/10 for everything!!!! The food is always delicious and the service is always fast and the new owner is super nice and helpful!!! I recommend this place 100%

SOOOO GOOD , the egg drop soup ? CHEFS KISS , the Lo mein, fried rice , pot sticklers , crab puffs (cheese puffs) and veggies rolls AMAZINGGGGGG everything is fresh and hot and delicious
