J & L BBQ

It just wasn't very good. We got the 2 meat 2 side combo with brisket, tri-tip, Mac n cheese and potato salad and almost everything was just bland. The brisket and the tri tip were extremely tender but lacked any sort of seasoning, thankful for the bbq sauce at the tables but come on. The Mac n cheese was creamy but lacked seasoning as well. The one thing we didn't have to fix with salt or bbq sauce was the potato salad.We also had really strange service from the cashier. She looked like she was maybe freshly 16. Didn't say a single word to us just stared at us waiting for our card. When we asked for a water, she just stood there staring at us and didn't say anything, it was actually a little creepy and odd. Overall, not a great experience. Cool looking place, some decent food but inconsistent and not bold enough for a bbq place

Love the brisket. We have brisket meal and a brisket sandwich dip. Auju is good. Not super salty like the one from a restaurant we had a day earlier. Side dishes we had were Collard green, bbq beans, potatoes salad are all great. Recommended

Sam and Mandy really took care of us and made sure we were taken care of! The food here is phenomenal! Definitely a must try if you're not from this state.

Wonderful ribs, pulled pork sandwiches and beans. We often order takeout. Very delicious

Some of the best BBQ I've had outside of the south. The service was fast and the place smelled like a true BBQ restaurant which was really refreshing. The brisket isn't dried out like most places, thae Brisket Sandwich is to die for.

Awesome service and food. Huge portions. Loved the spicy bbq sauce and the mac and cheese.

In town visiting relatives and we had a craving for BBQ. Man, am I glad we did, the whole family LOVED it!!! The coleslaw was excellent and the Cowboy Caviar was a gigantic hit with my Mom, who loves bean salad. All of the meats we tried were amazing as well and smoked to perfection and still moist and juicy! The lady who served us was very helpful and friendly as well, so there was not a solitary issue anywhere, making for a well deserved 5 stars!It will be a new family tradition for me to stop in and bring BBQ to my folks' place whenever I'm in town for a visit.

This is a great Barbecue Restaurant. The staff, especially Mandy did an outstanding job. They truly make the customers a priority. I tried the ribs, brisket, tri-tip, collard greens and macaroni and cheese. The brisket, ribs and macaroni and cheese were exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant if you enjoy barbecue.

This is great! Good smoke and flavor on the ribs and the brisket! The staff were so nice! Helped us get the right combo so everyone got what they wanted! Beans were good (they are my favorite part of Bbq) one kid loved the spicy sauce and the other loved the mild. Great expertise all around. Restaurant ambiance is clean, quiet for the most part. Band playing in parking lot in the back was enjoyable and added a party feel

I've heard good things about this place from friends and coworkers, so I finally went for a quick lunch. Didn't get any of the meat, but J&L is a good place to get a quick bite of food for a good price. The cornbread with the cinnamon honey butter is amazing! The Mac n cheese and cowboy caviar are good, nothing special. Mac n cheese would be amazing if it was smoked.
