Let me start by saying the staff are very very nice. Service staff was not an issue. We went there for anniversary and they made us feel special.Now the problem was the food. It was average for the price and it took longer than usual to get to us. Earlier in the day, My husband and I split lunch and everything all day and had our own steaks at JG. He ended up with food poisoning so we both believe it was from his dinner. So done at your own risk. It was not worth $400.

During the B2B Marketing Exchange I had dinner here and it was great. First and foremost the views are insane and gorgeous, the service was immaculate! I definitely cannot wait to come back

So, where to start. Table of one. I get it. Probably only $200 check but let's go with less people to impress. Very underwhelmed with the waiter, Jose's attention to anyone near me who was a swindle. When I mentioned the seat was so over air conditioned that I had to decline dessert or move l was put me at a used table (not that theee were any other seatings at 9pm). Just Not what I expected out of a restaurant within the Phoenician.

J&G was our favorite steakhouse of the 3 that we tried during our Scottsdale visit. The view, food and service were fabulous. This is a great place for a romantic dinner, anniversary or date night! We came here twice during the week we stayed at the hotel. The first visit we ordered salmon, filet and the mushroom side. They were so kind to have a handwritten note for my husband's birthday and a delicious complimentary dessert. The complimentary bread is so good! For the 2nd visit, we did the tasting menu which all 3 of us liked very much. Everyone does have to order this if you choose this option but it was a nice way to try a variety of items. Since the tasting menu has the same items you can order, if you have a bigger group or not everyone wants to do the tasting menu, you can just order the appetizers to share as well. It was nice to try the tasting menu but not sure I would get that again unless there were items on the tasting menu that you couldn't get otherwise.

J&G Steakhouse was truly delicious! We started off with house made bread that just melted in your mouth it was beyond soft and buttery! Then we ordered black truffle cheese fritters, and shared a 16oz six peppercorn prime NY steak, and then we were given warm chocolate cake on the house for our honeymoon they were so kind and attended to us very well! Definitely will be coming back here! The vibe is so romantic and we were on the highest floor and the balcony view was incredible!

During my staycation at The Phoenician, I dined at J & G Steakhouse. This was a very pleasant dining experience. The atmosphere was upscale and the outside views are amazing. The food looked appetizing and tasted very good. The service was fantastic. My sister who I was with got escorted to the restroom instead of being pointed in its direction.I ordered the calamari for an appetizer. It was very fresh amd cooked perfectly with a light flaky batter. For my entree I ordered the lamb T-bone and a side of mac n cheese. Both were very delicious.The one thing that I will need to return for is the dessert.

The service is the main reason im giving this restaurant 5 stars. Everyone was Extremely attentive and the manager even went around to introduce himself. The view is beautiful day time or night. The food was yummy especially the steak. This venue is so fancy and it has a bar. Perfect for an anniversary.

Our server was so kind and welcoming, the views are lovely, but the food just ok. Bread to start is ok. The tomato salad looks beautiful, but needed salt. Caesar salad is very heavily dressed and a bit pale looking with croutons that didn't add anything special. King crab tasted fine, but quite pricey. Lobster mac is very rich- more of a cream sauce than cheese, with big chunks of perfectly cooked lobster. A nice splurge if you have a group to share bc a few bites is enough. The sauteed spinach had a strong spice/herb that I wasn't expecting and didn't love. The staff is friendly, but service was a bit uncoordinated. Dishes were delivered without serving utensils. Plates and utensils cleared after the first course, but not replaced. Fine place to go if you want to get dressed up and sit somewhere pretty. Maybe stick to the bar for a glass of sparkling wine next time.

I'm not someone who frequents steakhouses, luckily my server gave great recommendations. I had their lobster escargot as a starter and was very happy by how flavorful it was. Be careful though it does come out very hot(I was a bit impatient). For my entree I had a specialty New York steak and it was cooked to perfection and had a nice crisp skin. For dessert I had the bread pudding and ice cream and it was a great way to finish off the meal. I had 0 complaints and enjoyed the experience.
